  • Are those ships fully electrically operated with batteries? What if the electrical components gets in contact with water?

  • @PUR3R4Z0R

Yes, they are fully battery powered, with the exception of the cannon, which are powered by CO2 from an onboard bottle.

The electrics are all waterproofed, and come to no harm when the ships are sunk.

  • Has anyone sunk the Emden?

    Great work :-)

  • @radio53 No, I'm afraid we don't have an Emden, but if you want to build one, I'm sure someone would sink it for you...

  • Pretty much the scale of the present day New Zealand military.....

  • Whats that song called?

  • @Oisin34 group blur song name is song #2

  • The ships have shields inside the hull to prevent damage to vital components, and through shots.

The airsoft BB's are expensive, and won't penetrate the balsa hull cladding due to the lower velocities our guns fire at.

  • @kidle102 The ships are all handbuilt. The only way to buy one of these ships complete is to join a club and purchase one from a club member.

  • Gawd I remeber reading about these battles when I was a young teen in the 70s

  • These ships fire steel balls, in various sizes, using compressed C02 through custom made cannon.

The balls punch holes in the balsa "skin" of the ships and if they take too much damage, they sink.

The sunk ships are retrieved, patched and sent out to do battle again, most times within 30 minutes of being sunk.

  • @slightlyfloored Bad idea what if it hits something vital? Why not use black airsoft bb's

  • What exactly are the weapons these things fire? Are they like small caliber bullets or airsoft pellets or ball bearings or what?

  • do they actualley sink or do they still work after they sink?

  • @19961djs They tend to work again... most the electronics are sealed so its just body repair.

  • r these airsoft ????? or do they just shoot water or sth????

  • @marwano1223 These are not airsoft. They use compressed CO2 to fire steel balls at each other.

  • time to get some r/c dive bombers in there!

  • I WANT ONE....NOW....

  • I WANT ONE....NOW....

  • where can i get one? are you selling any?

  • @brian1234567892010

You should try to contact a local model warship combat club, there are often ships for sale at clubs in the US.

    Try googling NTXBG.

  • I remember seeing this kinda stuff at scarborough park in sydney

  • do they do this in sydney, how much does it cost to get one and get into all this?

  • @shiyboy4 Yes, This hobby is well established in Sydney.

Cost? That's a bit hard to nail down, as there are so many different ships you could build.

There is a link to the Sydney club on the AusBg website, ausbg.org.

  • @slightlyfloored great thnx, well then ill have to give the bloke who runs it a call, look into it cause thts my kinda thing

  • put a flamethrower on a boat ahhaah and burn the shit of all the other boats

  • song name?

  • @fingerboardfreak09 Song is by Blur-called song 2

  • Wonder if they'd allow a CV to use an RC Helicoptor with a downward-facing BB Gun...

  • @Quarolet If you could find a WWII vintage heli that is in 1:144 scale, and somehow manage to arm it, and get it to fly, then.....no.

    Sorry.

  • why are there no clips of em battling?

  • @mrmistercharles

try searching for AusBG - 6 Jun 2009

  • thay are so awesome u should do a video of 1 of ur battles

  • they fire ball bearings with cannons that are power by compressed CO2, the size of the ball bearings depends on what size cannons the real ship had, most, not all, fire1/4 inch ball bearings.

  • wat do the ships fire and how?

  • wow interesting hobby dudes!!!

    how to make those?

I have model ships here but they only run on water

  • videos pls naps

  • does the english queen have total control over our rc battle ships as well?

  • Shes your Queen too. Thats why they are the ROYAL Australian Navy!!

  • @eventingcrazy note i said total control over OUR's as well. i am all too aware that she runs my country. hence all our battle ships start with the acronym HMAS. her majesty's australian ship

  • om going to make a frieghter with a twin-linked gun with up down and full 360 rotation and it will have to be strong and fast

  • why are there water streams coming out of the ships???

  • @rcwilli1991 that would be the bilge pumps attempting to keep up with the water flooding the ship.

  • thank you!!

  • they have been shot that is the bilge pump pumping the water out

  • xtream

  • y's it all pictures where are the video clips

  • WHAT IS THIS SONG?

  • woohoo by blur

  • good luck finding that ship at 45 seconds

  • were do you buy these ships at

  • that looks like brilliant fun. it'd be even more fun to do that with submarines and torpedoes lol.

  • at 28 thats one beastly motherfucker

  • Awesome hobby!

I wish there were pools like that near where I live, and that I had friends with this interest :/

    Any way, AWESOME ! (:

  • how to you protect the insides once it sinks

  • all the electronics are in watertigh compartments

  • motors and gel-cell batts don't care. servo's esc's and recievers are in watertight box

  • How do you attack other ships. I couldn´t see in the pictures?

But it is an great idea to do something like this!

  • theres little cannons that shoot metal balls a little bit smaller then marbles if I can remember correctly

  • sweet i have a HT-3826 Destoryer for a ship need to make cannons tho

  • what is the songs name

  • song two by blur or something like that

  • i would use flame thrower or something like that XD :D

  • daaaamn so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how much do theese things coast!!

  • you make the ships!

  • unfortunatly i live in britain

  • lets just say i hope u can swim. lol

  • how do they get them back

  • you dont ._.

  • on some of the ships the bridge pops off and it has a string attached 2 the ship and the bridge floats so easy but on others they just have to remember where it went down and go for a little swim

  • the last time i did something like that it lasted a full 6 seconds.

  • dam time to go under water i could use all those ships for somthing

  • im from the states do you think i could use cherry bombs as depth charges and is there a way to make torps for these events

  • these dudes should consider subs :P

  • 0:59 is sweetness

  • wat if u missed and shot a guy O.O

  • people stand pretty far back, + guns are not allowed to aim up.

  • dude that cool!! this are man games

  • fuck!! you get your beloved ship destroyed just for fun? aargh I would get mad!!

  • i would love to see a old wooden ships like from the 1600s and 1700s and add explosions for realism, and maybe a bit weaker for more realistic destruction (espicialy on the wood ones) btw, are they still usable after the sink, do you just patch up the holes and go or do you have to buy a whole new one.

  • They are built realistic, very specific rules to make sure the ships are easily sunk and not like a floating tank. They are recovered from the pond, patched up, repaired, aired out add a bit of paint and ready to go for the next battle. With the possibility of a dead servo or other electronics but you water proof them so they usually be fine.

  • i know they are realistic, i mean realistic like more than holes, like a wooden frigate that gets a big hole blown in it, and splinters.

  • I WOULD MAKE BISMARK OR THE YAMATO!!!

  • H-44 or Montana all the way

  • i would make the uss texas

  • id make the Renown

  • personally id make the japanese yamato and pown.

  • i would puth on mini rockets lol missle boats rock :P

  • Geez i want to make my own homemade steel bismarck 1/75 scale. I guess im only dreaming......... T_T

  • that is awsome i wana learn how to make boats like that

  • they are firing metal pellets!!!!

  • nice ship, i made a couple of those, one of mine is a modified titanic. and whats the name of this song

  • song 2 by blurr

  • This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Thanks for posting it.

  • I WANT ONE DAMN IT!!!

  • That looks like so much fun. I would get kinda pissed if mine sank.

  • Sinking is no problem! Each ship is designed to handle a sink with minimum damage and cost. Once the ship is built it is very cheap to maintain. The average sink would cost about the same as a can of coke from a vending machine. You just have to wait for the end of the battle to collect it!

  • That is awesome!

  • 1:22 is that an airplane wing i see?

  • I dont think so.

  • no i think it is a rudder

  • No, that's the recovery float for the battleship on the bottom. It's actually part of the deck, from the front.

  • Verry nice ships and music on this video.

  • have they an airsof cannon????

  • No, they are more like paintball markers. They fire steel ball bearing with liquefied carbon dioxide as propellant. It fires hard enough to cause damage to ships but not enough to be considered unreasonably dangerous to onlookers.

  • what are they shooting with??

  • that looks so fun!

  • go bet them that's the best i have seen yet i say that's number 1 for me go go go go yea

  • i would of used a model CSS virginia lol

  • wtf do u sink them with

  • Hi i've been looking through your videos and i reaaly like them!

Was just wondering if you would be interested in subscribing to my videos and comment on my projects. currently i am doing a project on an rc torpedo boat!

    Thanks RCprojects

  • koool lol

  • i read about dis on the internet like a year ago but u dont really get a sense of how class it is untill you see the video

  • those the winner get money or something like that because it looks like a expensive game

  • whit whot are they firing whit

  • With what are they fireing with

  • i think whit bb-bulets

  • You spell it wrong Whith

  • i gota join that !!!

  • are u part of the australian battle group?

  • Yes, There are many regional clubs within Australia but they all form as part of the national "Australian Battle Group". Battles occur locally within the clubs and twice a year a large national battle is held.

  • imagine like 25 allies ships vs 25 nazis ships with bismarck on their side that would be sick (rc battle one)

  • whats the music called?

  • Blur - Song 2

  • thanks

  • hello who are you from ausbg?

  • should have a carrier will small rc bombers lol and fighters that would be kinda cool. when they sink i take it the water dosent get inside the ships and messes with them causing any unpleasantness with the hardware?

  • how did u get the ships to sink?

  • The first photo of the slideshow should answer your question. Each ship is armed with cannon in scale to represent the configuration of the original ship. These cannon fire ball bearings with compressed gas. Once a ship sustained enough damage to overwhelm the bilge pump it starts to sink. If the captain cannot get her back to port in time or decides to stay and fight to the last... she sinks. All ships can be recovered and repaired easily without getting wet

  • well the steel ballbearing hit the ship.

the ship has balsa wood and is weak against attack from the ballbearings.

and when it is penetrated it starts to sink

  • 1:21 there is a nazzi sign in the water!

  • Very observant DESR95! These are replicas of ships during WWI & WWII. That swastika was painted on the recovery float of the sunken Nazi ship the DKM Bismarck. The captain has since decided to paint over it, sacrificing authenticity to be less offensive. We hope you were not offended.

  • ooh i REALY like the subs shooting missiles

  • how are they supposed to get them back?

  • The battles take place in shallow ponds ony a few feet deep. The sunken ships are marked with floats. When a battle is over, the owner simply wades out and recovers his model. The ships "armor" is made of balsa wood and patches up easily. Ships are often sunk and return to battle several times a day.

  • Hi ice9fetus81,

When the ship sinks a float detaches and remains on the surface with a line firmly secured to the lost ship. At the end of the battle we simply pull it out from a small boat.

  • What you really need is a 12ga with 3inch mag shells. Yeah baby!!

  • look at the holes in the boat at 1:41

  • what do they shoot

  • They shoot ball bearings of various sizes depending on what sized cannons the origional ship had. The largest is 1/4 inch.

  • Sight ... another one of those "videos" that turn out to be slideshows :-|

  • Yes, we are currently trying to put together a promotional video (the kind with the moving pictures). Unfortunately we have so much fun it's hard to find a volunteer to stop participating in a battle to film it. We will have some video up shortly!

  • i have see what can it do how much cash to get runing agen but it looks fun

  • someone explain to me how this works, i'm interested. I know you have to sink the other ship but what are they firing or doing?

  • They shoot pellets/metal from custom cannons or turrets.

  • thats flat out awsome! what exactly do they fire at eachother?

  • song is : blur - song 2

  • what is the song? oh awsome crusiers !!!!!

  • i think i would like that hobby. my rc boat will kick your boats ass

  • the one at 1:39 was pelted

  • what do you fire out of them?

  • were can i buy ships like this

  • all teh guns on teh ships are steam powered or compressed air... ITS AN AWSOME HOBBY!!!

  • i think this is very good hobby to have.

  • me and my dada make boats like this from scratch.:)

  • are'nt bb guns illegal in australia?

  • no, you can buy rifels and ammo here, but you must have a licence and its alot harder to get a licence here then in the US

  • You are very correct. BB guns are illegal in Australia. We use a different sized projectile and we conform to very strict safety procedures dictated by Australian Firearms legislation. We are also covered by $20 million public liability insurance.

  • how the hell did that huge boat get its ass kicked by that tiny boat...oh ye as bombom565 said best rc war ever (well what ive seen ) :)

  • That little freighter was being protected by the larger Battleship. It sunk from damage sustained while escorting a convoy. The smaller ship remained for a few seconds to mark the site the battle ship sunk. This is a precaution just in case the recovery float did not deploy. This rarely happens but its good practice. Let's just say it is recovering survivors! Thanks for your comment Jord!

  • how do you go with the stupid gun laws hear?

  • Where is here? If you are talking about Australia, we are permitted to use these provided we conform to very strict safety procedures dictated by Australian Firearms legislation. We are also covered by $20 million public liability insurance.
