  • evil evil

  • Oh yeah....i'd much rather work at cold stone japan

  • There's a fucking COLD STONE in Japan?!?!?!!?!? Can I transfer locations!!!!!!!?!?!?! Poor College Student's dream come true! Maybe singing for tips in Japanese will be less degrading :P

  • XD they probably hated singing

  • No tipping? YES!!! [arm pump]

  • This is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

  • i can feel their eyes watching me watch my anime....ahhhhh

  • fell on the floor laughing so hard. they gave us evil looks. gomen nasai! evil guys that work there

  • they sang it ten times...

    happy birthday to you nya

    happy birthday you nya

    happy birthdaaaay to you nya

    haaaappy birthday to you nyaaaa

but then i said what about saying how old she is nyaaaa

  • OMG!

before cold stone was really popular i went there for my friends bday the guy said if u tip them they will sing(bad choice!)

we paid for ice cream a giggled and sat out side stalking the dude thinking about it.

we had 20 dollars left and said what the heck and broke them into singles.

there were 5 workers, we are anime geeks so we asked if they could say nya while singing happy birthday. by the time we got to the 10th time, the five people gave us our money and begged us to leave, in usa

  • Hahaha, were they singing the Rainbow Monkey song?

  • He took you all the way to the mori building.. Reminds me of this one comic where an old lady asks a man for directions to some place, and the man brings her all the way to the place. Getting to the destination involved walking through a city, crossing a desert, and swimming across a sea.

  • lol that was so funny! I guess Americans look like good tourists in this situation for tipping. I love how un-japanese that is too-we won't sing until you pay up.

  • I really kinda feel bad for the employees. Ah my guess is that most if not all Japanese would never tip out of embarrassment. Singing is usually done in private with groups of friends or work colleges at karaoke bars and such. Although that is part of the job description but I imagine most don't like doing it. If it were me I would sing along. ^_^

  • HA HA! We sing the same songs in the U.S. Coldstones! (I used to work at one... but I never cried after work from singing, since it was free money, and it's not like I knew the people tipping anyway. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!)

  • american money in japan, but i've never seen japanese money in america...

  • I'm a Japanese, and the reason I think about their tip box is, it's just looks cooler with Foreign money inside. Japanese doesn't think their money or most every thing are cool. (At least, I hate most of Japanese stuff.)

    But yeah, it's so stupid.

The cold stone that I've been, they sing for free. Come to the Cold stone in Tachicawa, Tokyo.

  • This is too cute and amusing!

  • My goodness, that must be the only place in Japan that actually has tipping! They're pretty adorable.

  • loser

  • why are they singing disney songs? and rather well too?

  • sir.

    you are misunderstanding japanese.

when you order them to sing a song, she said when she stand in front of the stone(cold stone) she will. she did NOT demand money her singing.

I think its okay to request more songs if you want to.

  • 20,000 veiw

  • The quality of singing is better than US' one!!!!!! NO??

  • You are mean, but I had done the same until I got 5 sad faces to sing for me.

  • You look like you smell good.

That was tottaly creepy but still.

    :D

  • I love that they can actually sing. <3

    It makes me happy.

I wish I worked somewhere that involved singing... I just wish I had a job actually D=

by the way.. I just discovered your channel today and I have been watching your videos and I must say you are amazing... and I love you and you should marry me.. ha ha ha jk jk jk. but I still love you.

  • I demand you make another video making them sing, tell me your paypal I'll send you money

  • i love it, i laughed at this video the most. man i want more of this stuff on your site. i demand it. ill send you an american quarter if i get it lol.

oh anyhow, could you add some more lessons on here? your funny as heck.

  • guess what, i work at coldstone and i dont sing for tips cuz i dont use my real singing voice, so i basically talk the songs. i use my REAL VOICE for the ladies. Sry Coldstone

  • God Bless You

    God Loves You

    Commandant Milfeulle Sakuraba

    New Otaku Order Reformation Compact

  • I like how you tip them like... 5 yen XD wtf that's awesome! <3

  • yes, it does make you a bad person

  • I want to put some money in there and hear

    "Dango, dango dango, dango"

  • Haha, cute!! :P

  • agreed. XD i like how they correlated pretty well in singing.

  • Is there such thing as taxes in Japan? Oh wow a book! Price: 170 yen. Walk out paying 200 yen.....

  • Why the hell is the jar full of American bills?? Lol

  • @WunderVollDoll because the American dollar is accepted world wide as world currency & i guess the Americans who went there wanted to see if they sing when they put the money in there

  • Hahaha, I'd love to visit this place..

No such thing as a Coldstone in Bulgaria (Or in Europe... Or none that I know of) ...

Wait, isn't the second song from Disney's Snow White? You know, the one that the dwarfs sing when they are heading home? XD!

  • Whaaat..I've been toa bunch of Coldstones here in LA and they don't sing after you tip . = l

That is a fast elevator, I wouldn't have been able to go up though, I have acrophobia.looking over the city would have made me panic >_>

  • They do that here in Arizona o.o

  • In England it's like; you really don't HAVE tip to unless you feel the service was EXCEPTIONAL.

if the service was good you shouldn't have to tip; I mean I expect good service when I walk into a restaurant.

Generally speaking we only tip regardless of the service when we're in a small independent restaurant and feel sorry for the underpaid waiters/resses XD

  • american's tip taxi drivers?!

    Why...?

  • Wow, thats kind of bitchy like I mean it looks like when you dropped that quarter in the coldstone jar you were saying in your mind "Sing for a american quarter, Betch!"

    Yeah... Im joking BTW XD

  • this put a smile on my face lol very cool :)

  • that must be the best thing ive seen

  • In regards to that bit where you said the guy took you all the way to the Mori building, we came across loads of people who had the same experience of asking for directions from total strangers who walked them to their destination, no matter how far away it is. One guy who was asked didn't even know where the place was, yet walked around helping the tourists look and would not stop and walk away until they got where they wanted to be. I love Japan.

  • awesome!!! me and my sister went to that coldstone! she got so excited - we're from wales, but she lived in america for a bit, so she knew what it was. my god, life changing moment.

  • "Plenty of ice cream heading your way"

    ^_^

  • i definitely gotta go to coldstone and make them sing when i visit japan one day

  • that made me go hehehehe irl.

  • id love to go to to japan but to young cant speak japense and icant spell some of the time

    not becuse im dumb ........oh

okay i am not the smartest guy around

i like the way the sing its got to be fun to hear them sing

i have made this comment to long man i really need a hoobie ive got nothing .damn

  • lol imagine this at McDonalds

  • i love how in japan they sing disney songs that we all know and love that we can sing along to (and that actually sing in tune), while in american (i'm using the coldstone in NYC as an example) they sing these strange made up songs that are strangly american music related (like rap, rhianah style, ext.) and they don't even sing in unison.

    ...

*sings* it's a small world after all~ XDD

  • they should sing some AKFG

  • tehehehehehe!!

    i want a 3rd song!!

    PLEEEEAAASEE!

  • You see? THIS is why I will NEVER work at a Coldstone's

  • they do this in america as well?? whats a cold harbour btw ( in england myself and REALLY cant imagine this happening here )

  • Jar full of US money. Can't see the 100 yens inside. Who will put 1000 yen inside, the lowest paper value.

Probably some came from the American hotel one subway station away.

  • hahaha so cute !! they sing !

  • They actually sing? O.O like a jukebox lol xDD

  • The cold stone I went to near Nagashima Spa land in Mie prefecture sang regardless if you gave them money or not.

  • Amazing, they don't sing at the Coldstone in my town! Maybe that's because mine's located in a dinky college town and not a city.

  • LOL! yeah im pretty sure thats why the suiside rate is so high!

  • that's suicide for you

  • XD That's exactly what me and my friends would do

  • Holy shit wow. That is so interesting. :D

  • lololol it looks like those coldstone workers have no life an enjoyed singing for you lol. you would never see tha in america

  • You would never see this in America

  • that elevator was freaking fast.

i would of been so scared.

i never been in a building that was more then 10 floors i think.

that would of freaked me out.

love their singing and no that doesnt make you a bad person.

  • you gave em a quarter :p still why was the jar fill with american money?

  • lol, well im sure they were glad when you left. :P

  • HOLY CRAP!!!! Talking Elevators!!!!

  • Yes, be prepared to endure them if you go to Japan.

  • Was the Menu in English too?

  • I love the length of your hair ^^ It reminds me of Mikami's hair from the manga Death Note. You should never cut it ^_^

  • :)

That definetely makes you a monster.

You might have put more money in at the very least.

  • lol the tip jar was full of American money xD <3 your videos.

  • that was friggin awesome love ur videos

  • That's pretty sweet. xD

and the tip jar's filled with /American/ money. xD

  • i can just imagine the lift you got from going down that elevator.

and, holy shit, people sing for you!?!?!

    again and again and again??!!!?

  • Brilliant, what better reason to visit Japan?!

  • They were so cute!

  • do they have to sing every singal time????

    this was fun to watch

  • aw how cute, sugoi, sugoi!!!!

haha you shoulda done that to them, making it seem like you were impressed that they could have known Disney songs haha

  • i love hearing disney songs in japanese! just curious, how much money does a song cost and does the second song cost more than the first one?

  • lol ok funny.

  • lol sugoi thx 4 posting

  • Applying to work at cold stone= Audition

  • dude that was cool

  • I thought cold stones here were cool, but in Japan, theyre filled with cute girls working there ^^ *faints*

  • ..........I DIDN'T NO COLDSTONE'S EMPLOYEES SING IF U GIVE THEM TiP!!!!!! OxO

*laughing* Koichi next time u should put in one quarter 4 time n make them sing some weird funny song 2 c if they will sing! XD

  • XD koichi, you're so mean...

    HAHAHAHA

dont worry man, they get payed to sing, they probably think it's sort of funny

also, I bet they have to do it all the time for all us gaijin

  • *tries to keep a serious face* yes, yes are are a horrible person for paying japanese people in a ice cream shop to sing you disney songs. Shame on you! XP

  • Haha "does this make me a bad person?" that was pretty funny.

  • Personally, I want to go to go to Kompira Mountain when I go to Japan :D

  • I think I almost peed myself lmao xD

  • I need to go there now... Another thing to add to my "When in Tokyo" list... it's so long already...

  • please! message me the rest of what's on it.....

  • yeah cool! i'd sing too xD with a jar liKe that. Koichi how old r you?? in this video you look like a 17 year old boy but in the others seem to be 28 o.O??

  • OMG that is so cool we don't have coldstone's in ireland............ but if we did xD

    Slán

  • I once left a tip at restaurant when I first started living in Osaka and the waiter literally chased me down the street after I left to give me back my money. haha.

  • that's really scary.

i would have done it to but it just seems wrong to ask them to sing again.

  • My brother went to Japan a couple years ago and went into a store to get some sort of video game thing but he didn't have enough money on him. The sales person looked up other stores online to see if they had the thing for cheaper, called one place to see if they had it in stock, then wrote out directions for him. Amazing.

  • the respect and kindness of the japanese people never fails to amaze me. They are the most helpful people ever!! But everyone should make an effort to learn some japanese when they go to visit instead of being typical "american tourists" and bluffing your way through on loud english xD

  • Yeah my brother had taken two years of Japanese in high school before he went. He said knowing how to read Katakana was probably the most useful thing to know while over there.

  • don't get the wrong impression. japanese are kind and polite, but they are still very racist towards foreigners, and a very sexist culture

  • lol I'm sorry but their accent I'm not trying to be a jerk because I'm sure I sound horrible in Japanese (and other languages for that matter) they sounded like the chipmunks.

  • Is that why Japanese suicide rate is so high?Lol!Anyway, thanks for uploading!Great video, gives us more info about Tokyo!

  • "and they all feel really bad afterwards and go home and cry" xD

  • Is there any way i can tip without torturing them? like...dropping money in while no1s watching?

  • Well, you could always request that they don't sing and simply accept the money lol.

  • thats a way of saying that there not getting payed enough

  • I didn't know taht if you tipped they sang! That's awesome! That is so COOL! I'm totally cheezed right now!

  • Coldstone sings! I didn't even know!!! *goes off to coldstone! What An amazing day I will have now~ XD

  • That's horrible!(Of course, I"m laughing my guts out) But that's horrible!

  • anyone got good tricks to convince ur parents its a good idea to go to japan?

  • Why would it be a bad idea?

  • hmmm im guessing it would b expensive for 5 ppl...and wat to do about my physco dog??

  • You should of made them dance like monkeys.

  • wow !!! japanse coldstone sings too. lol.

  • You are Bad person ^_^

  • What's that? Singing for money.?

Shit, I want to go to Japan right now!!! xD

  • what is it like to live in japan?

  • that was great but quick question.

    You were in Japan right?

Why was there American money in the tip jar? haha

  • lol i never been to a coldstone .know i got an urge to go and hear pirate song ....evil......

  • haha I live right next to a coldstone.....they hate me now

  • LMFAO im going to try that when i go. LOL

  • lol. That's awesome.

one of my friends used to work at a coldstone and I'd come in with 5 $1s and piss her off and be like "Sing..."

    Great times.

  • ahhh theyre so adorable

if i was depressed i would just go there

    and be all happy again!

  • Lol only Americans know about the singing! That's why the jar is full of American money! EPIC WIN!

  • Maybe you don't, tightarse!

  • hi tofugu!i came across this video.

a cold stone in Chiba workers sing for free. i was kinda surprised u tipped in japan... and im sorry if u feel bad, but the more they song, the more your icecream is coverd w/ their DNA topping.

  • lmao after 3:20

  • coldstone in japan o.o the ones in america sing there own madeup songs n my fav favor is sweetcream yumm

  • love the american money in the jar.. lol

  • That's so cute. Lol.

  • I had no idea about the singing Coldstone's. Interesting. And their singing was adorable, with all the Disney songs. (:

  • I didn't know they had a coldstone in Japan. That's pretty cool, i've been to some of them around here cause I know there's one in this city and where my aunt is but I didn't know it was THAT big of a company. They are a pretty good ice cream place though (I like how you can choose all the combinations).

  • ICE SCREAM!!!!!!

  • If only ice cream was this fun in america

  • i lol'd

  • haha..i've been there before

  • The closest thing I've ever witnessed that ranged close to singing for a tip was the pizza delivery guy demanding a tip.

    ...

    Yeah.

  • lol disney songs!

  • When they started to sing, they put a smile on my face.

  • lol they really like there job

  • omg, the singing was so cute XD

  • I think Mori just built a new one as twice as much taller one in Shanghai recently.

  • lol... loved the vid

  • アイスが第好きです!私は日本へいきます。Coldstone へ いきたいです!楽しいみたいな。

  • Excelent!

  • I had no idea they sang! Anywhere!

Even though I'm vegan, I'm dragging my friends to Coldstone now and making them sing.

  • I liked how the jar was full of American money.

Your not a bad person for doing that. You should have stood there for about an hour yelling, "歌て!歌て!歌て!(was that right I was trying to make the te form of 歌う?)

  • If you were trying to make the Te form, it'd be 歌つて, with a small tsu, since it is a u verb :)

Sorry I cannot make small tsu

  • to make a small tsu repeat the roman character. tte

  • try zz backspace. works for me mac.

  • Aww, they don't do that singing thing here in Puerto Rico. They're not even nice ANYWHERE here. They're just desperate to get on their lunch break and they love giving you what you didn't order. X_X BTW, that Coldstone singing bit in the video was adorable. I wanted to lick the screen...no I didn't... :D

  • Haha, they don't sing that awesome at the coldstones around here! xD I'm going to Japan to get my icecream...

  • lol cool vid

  • Money for embarasment... I guess that's how a lot of things work. You aren't a bad guy for it unless you stood there ALL day with a lot of pennies and every time you dropped one in you screamed 'SING!'. Besides, they must have one of the best jobs in the world. They probably have a happiness screening test before they're hired. Just like TGFI friday waiting staff... *Shiver*

  • or disney employees. Have you been to disney? disney employees have their souls sucked out and replaced with care bear souls.

    Chuck Norris fears Disney employees

  • lol!..... if i gave u money would u sing???

  • Lol i love u dude, not in a gay way, but dang! i would do the same thing, that dosnt make u a bad person, i just respect u more than i did 3:56m ago XD

  • haha thanks!

  • hahaha. cute!:3

  • Their Singing Was AWESOME!!!

  • XD lol

  • lmfao. i know you were joking but i'm sure they don't cry when they go home, i've got friends who work at coldstone and in the interview they make you do crazy performances just to make sure you have the outgoing personality and like to make a fool of yourself in public. however this is the american coldstone i'm speaking of... maybe in japan they are all forced into it and beaten with ice cold metal serving spoons if they dont.

  • lmao
