  • my natural hair is med brown with about 50% gray - I have dyed my hair dark auburn now for 10 years and over the last year my hair has gotten so much more gray or should I say silver ! and the color is not holding at my new growth so I just got the gray magic to mix in to my reg hair color but I usually use 20 voulme do you think I should use 30 voulme ???? to help the color really penetrate that silver hair ???? thanks - really enjoyed your vid

  • is there other toner at sally u can use beside t18 if the hair is orange. also what is a good blonde to good if u have med tan skin. i dont want to blonde

  • @Alexis2328ortiz

yes if you have orange in your hair look for nay toner that say blue base or even blue/violet you wont go blonde it will just help tone the orange down..

  • what is the ratio for 10 developer to the t 18 ? Cuz some hair dressers have used the entire bottle, while another only used about half. I don't go to either hair dresser any more, because they both leave my toner and bleach on way too long for my liking. So i don't bleach my hair any more, because it won't grow back, so i've switched to "Gosh 111" and i really like it, i am going to put toner on it, comes out nicer.easier on your hair and still looks nice blond over my dark brown virgin hair.

  • @metalcannibalgirl

the directions are under the flap or in the inside but the ratio is 2:1

so if you use half the bottle of t18 which is 2ounces then you would use 4 ounces of developer, no matter what volume of developer it is!!

  • Hi, I have some questions. I just applied the T18 (Lightest Ash Blonde) Toner to my hair today and it came out as a greyish white color? Is it normal for this to happen? Should I use the same toner again or should I rebleach my hair or will the greyish white color fade to a platinum white color? I'm wondering cuz I really want white platinum blonde hair that has no grey in it. Thanks.

  • @DivaQueen2990

hi its normal what happened was i think you left it in too long usually 5 to 10 minutes is enough, but yes it will fade out,now if your hair was already white blonde there was no need for the t-18 rather than a toner a dye would have been done instead, only use the t18 when you have a pale yellow in your hair, dont worry it will wash out!!

  • can it be mixed in wih your shampoo for ex.? I had blonde but went red and it gets tedious touching up every 2-3 weeks. thanks! love you and your vids!!! very informative!

  • @empressiivee

can what be mixed with the shampoo??

    lock in blonde??

  • @FUNKYMACGIRL yeah the lock in blonde but you mentioned there's one for red heads as well? because red always runs no matter what i do! and does the wella stuff work if your hair's black and bleached then it comes out orange? or would it have to be rebleached again? thanks!!!

  • haha "smart words", you're so cute! I say that too :p for the wella stuff, does it only work if your hair's already like light blonde? just curious because I know when people have black hair and they dye it the first time it turns orange until they dye it a second time or with a higher concentrate, it'll be completely lighter blonde. so will it cancel out the orange? or does It have to be redyed then put over top? also, for the lock in blonde but the red one, does it have to be while dying or c

  • WOW !! HAIR TUTORIAL PLEASEE !! :))

  • @ExquisiteTube

    thanx.

  • i just brought the white lady today! from your recommendations! :) super excited to try it! I was wondering if i had a tube of permanent color and mix it with a bigger ratio of developer, instead of 1:1 , can that be like a toner , im thinking probably not, but i wanted to know if u ever tried it? or is that even possible? lol

  • @smokeymattenude

good luck, if wont wotk properly if you have a hint of orange, always use the right ratio but ion color brillance there hi lift work really good toner/color.

  • @FUNKYMACGIRL thank you! ohh yeaaa i got the tube key too! u should make more videos like these. i totally love them!

  • Hey one more question,,how many containers of wella toner t18 should I use for my hair?? Just half of my hair like urs?? And how many ounces of 10 developer?? Thank u soo much :p

  • Hey sorry to bugg bugg u but cab u do a video on how u style your bangs? I love the way it looks in u ..I'm tired if having side swept bangs and I wanna try somethin like urs,I just can't get it right!! Thanx

  • Hello I have a question for you,,I recently bleached my hair and it turned to a orangie yellowish color,I want to get a nice blonde like yours what do I have to do? Do I bleach it again? What color do I apply? what developer?I want to achieve the ash blonde that u have on your video where you talk about ur coral lip color..hope u can help me!!!! Thanks..

  • @ramirezalma181

try and lighten it one more time with a 20, if you feel your hair can handle one more process, when you get to the yellow stage apply a toner wella t18 with a 10

  • Ok last time I don't understand the differance between ultra and HI B. on the hair color?

  • I'm sorry to keep asking u questions this is my last one my hair has been prev dyed red but been a long time will it still work? Oh and I have a slightly olive/warm skin tone and brown eyes is there a shade of blonde I should stick to or look for?

  • Thank u much for replying I'm just not sure witch color of it to use I just want a natural blonde nothing drastic sort of like Caroline on the vampire diaries

  • Hi I was wondering have u ever used majiblonde before I have medium brown hair and dont want to bleach it I don't want super blonde hair and I don't want to use bleach will majiblonde give me the lift I need?

  • @garcianova73

no i havent but its suppose to do the trick but let me say this hi lifts dont really lift 5 levels..as they say they do if you were a level 2 natural dark brown, youd probably get as light as redish brown/carmel, if you decide to try this let me know how it works for you!!

  • @garcianova73

since yur a medium brown this might give you a natural looking blonde color.

  • hello :D first off, i LOVE your hair in this video! second, i am definitely going to buy that key thing cuz i totally need it. and third, can you suggest a good silver toner? or a lavender one? i kno its weird...but i'm getting tired of my plain blonde and wanna try a new shade :) thank you!

  • @nic0lekA

thanx, a silver toner try Wella t14 silver lady or any blue based toner first try it on a section and see how you like it!!

sleep with the purple shampoo over night but dont have your hair drippen wet

  • @FUNKYMACGIRL ooo great idea! ok i'll try the t14 and the shampoo idea, thank you :D

  • I love your hair in this video!

  • @chrrysy2009

    thank you!!

  • Hey! Great video! I have used T18 many times. I have a question I have been searching around for answers but with no luck, you seem highly educated on the subject of blonding/toning. I wonder if you have ever used Wella 1210 frosty ash color? Some people use this colorant as a toner, I was wondering if you had any experiance with it? If so, would you say its ok to apply it to damp hair like the toners? Thanks and keep it up!

  • @xsonicsarahx

thanx, yes i have used this and i kept going back to it because the swatch is so white but it never worked well on my roots..i still always had to go over it with the t18 now if your not as blonde as i am it might blend in well, also finer hair will react to color differently than mine my hair is very stubborn..but i love the swatch all i can say is try it out and see how it comes out for you.

  • wow love your vids you always have the BEST tips! I am going to buy the key and whisk, never heard of those before! Oh can I request a video too, how can you do highlights that peek through underneath, like the longer layers are blond and top brown - a bit like your hair but reversed, and also not block but highlight. I really need to learn how to do highlights, but your vid on highlights was so fast I couldn't figure it out! Have been forking out tons for hairdressers :(

  • @hobuspobus

Glad i can show you the whisk and key tube..you can even use the key tube for toothpaste 8)

the highlights are tricky theres tons of patterns...ughhhh then touch ups are te-d-es, its basically figure out where your client parts there hair than go from there this way they peek thru..it does take a while to learn.

  • @FUNKYMACGIRL could you do a vid in depth on how to do highlights properly, I have real trouble :(

    if you have time xx

  • im going to try those little ardell packets lol .. where did you go to beauty school ? im going to start at Paul Mitchell . im just curious :) lol .

  • @mTHUGGbeautyy

hi..i went to a first time school called Princess Institute (first student to graduate) very proud of that, Paul Mitchel was a longer drive or else i would have chose this school as well...keep me posted when you go to state board.

  • hey i email you about some hair color could you email me back?

  • What are your tattoos on your knuckles of?

  • is their anyway i can make an appoitment with you?cause you know so much about hair! :)

  • Since you have your cosmo license why do you shop at sallys for color and stuff like that? I'm not hating but you'd think you could go get some better quality stuff at other stores for professionals right?

  • @mek0626

Hi, Sally Beauty is right around the corner from me and EVERYTHING i bought is Professional. They sell the same stuff at Cosmo Prof, alot of people dont know that cause not anyone can go into Cosmo Prof. So its not a big difference, If Cosmo Prof was closer i would def be showing both Store Products.

  • @FUNKYMACGIRL oh ok, you're right I didn't know that! I don't have a license so I get most of my hair dying stuff at sallys too, never knew it was the same stuff you could buy at stores for professions, thanks :)

  • I like watching your videos, can you do a "best of" video or one showcasing your favorite hair color/ sprays/ makeup/ tools and tips too?

  • @LIZ217700

    NOT A BAD IDEA!!

  • what do think of pravana color and bleach????

  • @holachristi06

    I LOVE PRAVANA

  • Love, You're Such An Inspiration! This Makes Me Want To Go Back & Finish Getting My Cosmetology License. Thanks For Inspiring Me.

  • @BratzDoll56

ur welcome if you know that cosmetology is something you want to do ..finish it. 8)

  • Last time I was at Sally's I saw some color removing kits...I was wondering if you've ever used them? And how badly they damage your hair? I've been wanting to go strawberry blond for awhile, but my hair is about as dark as the bottom half of yours and I figured a color remover and then bleaching would be better than just bleach alone. Awesome video btw!

  • @subliminalxnoise

thank you the color remover kits are for hair that already has color in it and all it will do is remove the color and leave your hair a brassy red or orange thats about as far as it will go you will still need to continue to lighten with a lightener.
