wasnt Alex Valle the one who mained ryu way back in the day and beat daigo's akuma or some shit like that.

and ever since then, daigo respected and used ryu alot more.

i think alex the one who proved that ryu is one of the most well balanced rounded characters, that can basically beat anyone. ryu doesnt really have a weakness, but sure as hell doesnt have god like tools either.
