The drummer (sometimes everyone) has in ear monitors with the click track in them. It keeps them perfectly on time, and allows the syncing of tracks. You'd be surprised how many bands do this, national and local, in fact.

Agreed. Van Halen-Redux is just bad all around. I'm not shooting them down, but face it, what they used to do and what they're doing, just don't compare. Contrary to public opinion here, I don't think they've still got it. The new look is lame, the sounds are off, and they're pulling a 'milli vanilli' on some of the tracks.
Have you seen them live on this tour? The videos don't do them credit. They sounded way better live, and they sound pretty good here. I agree, they aren't Young Van Halen, but neither were they with Hagar. They're way better now then they've been since like 1984...

Does the shaky camera have anything do do with that? How about the sound? Was it caught on a hand-held camera? Yes... I'm curious, how can you tell?

Agreed. Van Halen-Redux is just bad all around. I'm not shooting them down, but face it, what they used to do and what they're doing, just don't compare. Contrary to public opinion here, I don't think they've still got it. The new look is lame, the sounds are off, and they're pulling a 'milli vanilli' on some of the tracks.

Have you seen them live on this tour? The videos don't do them credit. They sounded way better live, and they sound pretty good here. I agree, they aren't Young Van Halen, but neither were they with Hagar. They're way better now then they've been since like 1984...
