Ok, we have 2 groups of lines, one slightly bigger then the other. In a dream this could mean you felt unbalanced, or possibly, because the third line is above the rest, that you are trying to balance something in your life. (Rant, rant, rant. More psychological stuff. Blach, Blah, Blah.)
Response #3: If it makes sense to go the two groups route, the second group(the three) is clearly signifigant in that one of them is elevated above the others. I would ask what each line represents to you...are they simply lines, or dashes, slashes, streaks, checks? Also, the fact that they are all virtical must be important.

The left two could show marriage or a merger of forces and the right three the result...a third from the two or a birth etc. In the mysteries it can be known as the duad becoming the triad which is also known to represent the trinity.
Response #1: Unless this is an experiment to obtain statistical data on response to symbolism...I would ask if you dreamt of anything else before or after the symbol appeared. Looking at it, I am wondering what, if anything, it is similar to in your conscious life...there may be clues there.
I've been googling a bit but I for one can't find anything on that kind of design. It most propably is nothing - or your memory has left something out or added something. This could also be a number of sorts like 2 (in a binary system - 00010). Or it could be a left hand... or a bunch of weird lines ;P
