Did you learn from Sri Patric Marks in Chicago many years ago? I think you might be the guy that replied to me on a sitar forum about Patric and our lessons from him. Sorry if I'm wrong, I just noticed this because this is an exact jhalla part he taught me early in my lessons with him! Let me know, that would blow my mind. I actually just put up a couple of videos myself.

Just posted this because a friend of mine in another state didn't know what a sitar was and wanted to hear it. He said in the info box he hasn't played for 25 years, with that said his fingers probably aren't callused anymore, which would affect his playing.

quite well played. although the sitar is not a name brand, the tonal quality is quite good
