  • Do you use an iMAC?

    Mariana Erwin

  • @89990000 no =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues

Do you use Windows? I'm just a little nervous because I think you are using any Apple Product.

    Mariana Erwin

  • @89990000 yes I am on windows =) although I don't understand why apple would make you nervous, especially someone else using it LOL

  • i super duper love your blog:) subscribe please!

  • You really are the queen of water marbling =P

  • so gonna try this mad pretty :)

  • exellent but it's that liquid appears to put water??

  • @laaStar2011 it's room temperature filtered water =)

  • I love ur nails I only watch ur nail designs there the best out of all the other ones and can u teach us how to do newsprint nails if u can thnx ur the best and really pretty!!!

  • @sprinksonicecream it's on my request list, I'm looking for some paper I'd actually want on my nails LOL =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues -- this technique is spectacular! did you develop it yourself or did you come across someone else who's done this before?

  • @naopatao I read about it on several blogs before I started doing it myself =)

  • u must have a lot of nail polish remover!!

  • this is amazing!!!!

  • @Simplelittlepleasures What brand dries the slowest? Because mine dry to fast:(

  • @ThePort989 You can’t tell just by brand - the only way to know for any specific color is to try it =)

  • You make it look so easy. Idk how many times I've tried to do this. I just can't do it :( is there a certain nail polish that you have to use? Or a certain cup? Please help me :0)

  • @TheAmberNicole90 Are you using room temperature filtered water? You can use any brand of polish, but not every color works =) I always use a paper cup, you don't have to but stay away from styrofoam or disposable plastic as polish can dissolve those

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues

THANK YOU SO MUCH... I WAS USING FILTERED WATER BUT, NOW I'M THINKING IT WAS THE CUP OR POLISH :0)

    THANKS FOR THE HELP AGAIN...

  • @hurrican3533 usually around an hour, or less if I'm dipping more than one nail at atime =)

  • @tigerstarkillz you can do whatever design you like =)

  • @MuhahaGirl42 It sounds like the polish is starting to dry – you either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower =)

  • what type of nail polishes do you use for water marble nail art?

  • @VarshaSonar You can use any brand, although not every color works =) the colors I use are always listed in the information box.

  • its not coming for me it just gets dry when i just put the 3rd drop it dries i cannot even make the design ??? why is dat

  • @misscutiepie9995 every polish dries at a different speed & those that dry fast just aren't very good for marbling - if you can't work any quicker then you have to find colors that dry slower =) Also make sure there's not a fan or anything creating a draft on the water as that can make the polish dry faster

  • Do u have videos of u taping and untaping the nail before and after dipping. And also cleaning the nail up once tape had been removed

  • @Itzgoldn yes - there are tutorials for both under the Tips & Tricks playlist which is linked in the information box =)

  • I cant do this, it always come out wrong. Like idk what i am doing wrong..I did everything you did. When i want to put the second drop in, it forms a blob and it wont spread... :(

  • @RubiixD1 sometimes even colors that each spread on their own don't work well together - you just have to keep trying different colors & different combinations =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Ohh ok, but also when i get to the point when i want to swirl some designs, i cant. The nail polish like gets stuck to the orange stick and moves with the stick. It wont do the designs : (

  • @RubiixD1 It sounds like your polish is drying too fast - You either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Ohh ok Thanks! : )

  • @RubiixD1 did you use filtered water?? (:

  • @muzikforeverr Yess

  • @RubiixD1 oh okay then.... ._. lol sorry. just trying to help. (:

i've only tried this a couple times and realized that filtered water really makes a difference.

and then i decided it's a waste of clean water and stopped. lol. jk

yeah just listen to SimpleLittlePleasures. she's like totally pro. (:

  • This is my favorite favorite:D

  • sorry, i meant paint*

  • do you always have to pain your nails in one colour before doing this? or we can do it without that?

  • @rachely17 it's not required, but it helps the marble colors be more opaque & vibrant =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues okay, thank you very much (:

  • Hey I love your videos!! could you give me some tips of combination of dark colors that I could use .. please!!

  • @beka0304 you can use anything you want =) it all depends on personal preference, sometimes I'll just see 2 colors next to each other & like it, other times I will search out specific colors I'm thinking of

  • i neeeever do it right, what can you use besides an orange stick or whatever they call it

  • @jazzycola anything with a fine point will work =)

  • have you ever tried using vaseline instead of tape? Thats what I usually do.

  • @Darkestkiss1 It's on my to-do list to do a comparison between taping & lotion or vaseline/chapstick, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. A few viewers have told me though that they can leave a residue in the water that makes it harder to do the next designs, which is why I've stuck with tape so far =)

  • WOAH, i like this one.

  • i love these-3! how long have u been collecting polish for? considering u have ove 1300!

  • @stepperz1024 many many years =)

  • i love watching the polish spread out when you drip it in the water. SO COOL

  • i've tried to do this but every time i dip any colour into the water the color settles down in the cup what can i do Plz tell me it's great idea, i wanna to try it ..Thank you... Waiting for your replay.

  • @pinkdiva1000 Some polish sinks because it’s too dense, other times it is from dripping it from too high up, try to stay close to the surface of the water =)

  • hi, i've tried to do this at home for several times, buti i have huge problems with air bubbles that come out when i try to dip my finger and i really dont understand wi there are always so many and they're keppeng ruining my designs, are there any trick so avoid them? thank you so much!

    a fan :)

  • @BlackLolita00 My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

  • do you use special polisch? because mine dries extremely fast in the water and on my nails when i just paint em normally it dries slowly so i dont see the problem?

    please respond

  • @TheChocolable it's normal polish but not every color works, each one can be different in the water =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues um why is it that when i dip my finger into the nail polish, and while i'm removing the excess polish on the water, the nail polish melts while i dip my finger into the nail polish in the water sometimes?

  • @tracychua8 I'm not sure I understand your question - do you mean the excess doesn't clean up? if it won't stick to the orange stick, blow on it a little to dry it =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues oh okay i'll try, thanks:)

  • You seem really elegant :3

  • WOW WOW WOW!!!!!

  • what is the orange stick

  • @oyamagalesiralhc An orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick =) You can use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on.

  • Thanks for the reply.. I've watched almost all of your current videos and still amazed. I haven't attempted it again, yet. But I will! :) Next time, I'll go buy some purified water since I don't have a Brita pitcher or faucet attachment. We'll see if that works any better.. Thanks again! :)

  • BEAUTIFUL! you're amazing!

  • I'm SO frustrated.. I got it to work once, but after the first nail, it went downhill from there. By the time I'd get the bull's eye and started to pull the design, there was already a skin on top and the design would break. I was working pretty quickly so and I thought the water temp was okay but maybe it was the polish itself or not using filtered water. I tried lots of combinations with varying degrees of success. I have short nails and really like the look but it's just not working.

  • @MollyBrown6363 I always use room temperature filtered water from a Brita pitcher =) Most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well – you can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =)

  • @paoandleon it works with other brands as well - There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • where can i get an orange stick?

  • @SaleenaYasminAli They’re available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers =)

  • is all the polish mess on teh cup from experimenting? how lonng dus it take to find teh right polish?

  • @SaleenaYasminAli no actually, just from the prior nails =) Sometimes I'll get lucky with the first colors I pick, but other times it can be pretty frustrating & take a while

  • beautiful but too much work.

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Your Nails Are So Beautiful; What Inch Are They?

  • @OhemqeeItsMeh it can vary a little as they grow out or when I file them down, but I try to maintain them with about 7-8mm of free edge =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues the orange stick thing looks just like a tooth pick lol:) pretty nails:)

  • Ur so amazing. Quick question though. The back of the nail is never shown does it get colored too?

  • @evileva1012 occasionally - if it does you can clean up with a q-tip dipped in remover =)

  • Can your next video be like reggae colors?

    like yellow red and green?'

    pleaseeee?

  • @TheSchubbe842 I do have that combination on my request list, but my next few designs will probably be geared more towards easter =)

  • So that is water in the polish that is wicked!!! is it recular tap or filtered? that is amazing

  • @Hattaru it's room temperature filtered water =)

  • wow! I am definitely going to try this one!

  • por favor coloquen la traduccion o subtitulos en español...

  • @overdose156 Espero tener tiempo para añadir subtítulos pronto =) Pero no dude en hacer cualquier pregunta

  • that's is such a cool idea! I can't wait to try it soon! get well soon, best wishes :)

  • @tweetiebird1999 I don't think so, I didn't really have a plan for the design I just liked the colors together & started experimenting =)

  • hey, i love your work!, but i hav a few questions:

1 - do u always have to use filtered water? does tap water do just fine ?

2 - can u dip more than one finger at a time?

3- do u have to switch the water everytime u make a new design?

4 - sometimes the nail polish sinks, what do i do ?

my nail polish dries up so fast, i cant even make designs with it :(

i'll keep experimenting, thanks so much!

please continue with your tutorials, their great!

  • @MsPerdz filtered water works best, most tap water is to hard & the polish doesn' spread as well - check out my comparison vid - yes, it all depends what design you are doing - no, I use the same water for the entire manicure - some polish sinks because it’s too dense, other times it is from dripping it from too high up, try to stay close to the surface of the water - and some dries too fast, you want a color that dries very slowly =)

  • lindooo

  • I have got a question: I did this water marle thing a few times, but the polish didn't stream out like your does, am i doing sth wrong?

  • @penny20001 well, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • the nail polish i bought only spreads for the 1st layer .. and it dries up too quick.... any solution?????

  • @pb695 there's not really a fix if the polish dries too quickly - you just have to keep experimenting to find the colors that work best in the water =) You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH

  • the orange stick looks like a pencil to me? =O

  • @AyuDance well, it is quite a bit skinnier than a pencil - plus no lead of course or eraser =)

  • heel erg mooi! :D

  • Love it!!! I'm gonna have to try this!!

  • why do u call it an "orange stick?" like so she sees!

  • @IBstudent101 that's just what they're called =)

  • Love these colors! I love watching your videos.

  • How do you clean the excess polish off your skin? When I tried using a cotton ball it only kept getting stuck to the polish smudging the design.

  • @shaneckamonia I don't usually have very much on my skin since I tape my finger, but what is there I normally use a small brush dipped in acetone - check out my clean up tutorial under the tips & tricks playlist =)

  • @shaneckamonia You could also try using a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover. :)

  • I like the design, hope you feel better soon.

  • pretty =D

  • Might sound stupid..but I'm looking to get that same exact stick u hve? Where did u get it?

  • @jflinn80 They’re available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers =)

  • i love your videos so much. i have tried this method but for some reason i have a problem with the polish looking like it has air in it. like maybe air was caught while i was dipping my nails in the water. but anyway love your work so much.

  • @jmkcapri86 My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

  • I did it with blue and red... I LOVE IT! <3

  • i just tried this for the first time. and it was quite successful. however, on a couple of nails, i had bubbles, that would mess up my nail. but the water didnt have bubbles to beging with. any suggestions on how i can fix this? or is it normal?

  • @Lehtee My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. • awesome colour combo!

  • love these colours!

you must go through SO much scotch tape! lol

  • hope u feel better love the vid

  • I think this color combo is gorgeous. My favorite!

  • What beautiful colors!!! You are awesome!!! ;) I love watchin' your vid's although I can't hear em.. haha I lay in bed at night & watch em when I can't sleep.. lol Don't wanna wake the hubby.. hehe So pretty!! Keep up the beautiful work!! ;)

  • Purple is my favorite color!! Nice!!

  • i tried doing water marble with room temp. water and put the colors i picked one by one..but they won't spread all the way like yours did. they spread only half way. idk if its the tape water..but what would you say to fix it to spread out more

  • @junier876 filtered water would help, but also keep in mind that not all polish works for marbling - every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • hey can youu do a video on how to regularly paint your nails like no patterns just basic how to do it on ur less prominent hand and how to do it so it doesnt F up ?

  • @foreva21girl It's on my to-do list to make a basic manicure tutorial - but there's no real trick to painting with your non-dominant hand though, it's just practice =) I do my nails a LOT LOL

  • your amazing at what you do, never stop <3:D

  • HELLO :D

  • the other day i did different water marbles to 4 of my friends lol. they loved it but still count figure out how to do it themselves. anyway, beautiful as always :)

  • I hope you get better soon!! You have the best water marbling tutorials and tricks they really helped me when i was first trying to do water marbling. Now i get so many compliments for the designs! Thank you for helpign me acheive this! And i've directed a bunch of my friends who have asked about my nails to your channel!

  • i love doing my nails this way, because it's really unique and i get compliments, but it uses up a ton of nail polish compared to normally painting them. =(

  • @Audreyyyy4 depending on the design you're going for, you can dip multiple fingers at a time to save polish =)

  • Pffff your nail always look PERFECT, you are so good at this, yesterday i've tried my very first water marble! And i used a black and green polish, it was so messy! the design was messed up every time i tried to drag it, uh and i got polish everywhere! haha, i suck at water marble! but i really love watching your tutorials! keep em coming!

  • Pretty as always, sooner or later I'm going to start playing around with this design process. I often buy quick-dry polish so I need to get some different polish. Anywho, glad you are doing better and hang in there...and a special thank you for your commitment to these tutorials even when you don't feel well. =)

  • I found that you can use tap water that has been boiled (such as for tea). Let it cool to room temp and start the proceedure as indicated in the videos. It worked for me.

    Just love these videos, too.

  • my nail polish still drops like a bead what i'm I doing wrong can you help plz and thanx yeah the water is room temperature,

  • @Beautyforhire Some polish sinks because it’s too thick, other times it is from dripping it from too high up, try to stay close to the surface of the water =)

  • @Beautyforhire Some polish sinks because it’s too thick, other times it is from dripping it from too high up, try to stay close to the surface of the water =)

  • This is so pretty, I'd love to see it in orange and black, like tiger print!

  • so nice!!!:)

  • get well soon :)

  • what cup do you use for your marble nails?? i use an old sour cream container i had but would it be easier to use a new small disposable cup each time?

  • @VBx257 I use 5 oz paper cups =)

  • I've gotten pretty good at water marbling but I still get little dots sometimes from where the water droplets are left on my nails. I do tap them off onto a paper towel when I bring them out of the water, but that doesn't always get all the water off. Do you have any tips or tricks for keeping from getting these 'water spots'?

  • @lnthofmann if they won't come off with just a shake, sometimes I will take just the very corner of a paper towel & kind of absorb it off the nail =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thanks for the tip. I'll try that the next time I do a water marble. I also wanted to say thanks for all the tutorials you do....you have the BEST water marbling tutorials! :)

  • Glad your feeling better ^_^ i know being sick sucks... and as always your design is just absolutely beautiful ^_^

  • this is beautiful get well soon because I wanna see more videos from u

  • I hear your voice and I know how you feel. Right now I am so sick. I love this tutorial and definitely going to use it. Quick question--do you use warm water or cold?

  • @sealfamily123 room temperature - my room is probably a little on the warm side, around mid-70's =)

  • Great look! Sally Hansen has this FABULOUS new purple! (I think it's new) 190 Posh Plum Xtreme wear. It water marbles fantastically! I'm totally in love with it. I've had three different designs using that color in the last ten days! lol And wow, thanks for the tutorials even though you are feeling yucky. We appreciate them! <3

  • lol You poor thing, I can't believe you did tutorials while you were sick. I avoid my webcam when I'm sick.

  • get better soon :) this design is lovely :)

  • very pretty. get better soon

  • That is sooooo cool!! <3

  • Get better soon! Thanks for still recording videos and blogging while you're ill, very cool :)

  • i hope you feel better :)

  • I am so glad I found your channel. Love your tutorials and can't wait to try some. Have a good week. ^__^

  • HOTTT as usual!! Happy new year and feel better soon!)

  • UGH! Everytime i try it and i dip my finger i just get like a really thick layer a polish..and it isnt pretty, but i use the sally hansen x-treme wear polish...HELP! :(

  • @kooly32 if the polish is too thick when you drip it, use polish thinner, if it is just too thick in the cup, try using fewer drops =)

  • *-* great!

  • awesome!! love the colours!!!! i hope you are feeling well! <3

  • pretty!

  • @asadragons10 I'm not sure I understand- do you mean it sticks on the tape but not actually on your nail? Are you using a base coat and/or base color?

  • are you still sick? :( Hope your sniffles go away soon!

    Great design as usual!

  • @Miss80Million I recorded this a few days ago, I am better but still fighting it off! Not so stuffy but still coughing - but I think I am finally close to the end =) I hate being sick, it makes me grumpy LOL

  • Does the base color need to be dry?

  • could you show us you cleaning off your nail after you take the tape off? and feel better :)

  • @Stephanie20222 check out the clean up tutorial in the Tips & Tricks playlist linked in the information box =)
