I pictured this moment to be so much more gratifying. Lucas would wake up in Edwin's arms, and Edwin would tell him over and over how happy he was and how much he loved him. To be honest though, I'm kind of loving that it's not that cliche. At first, I hated this whole thing with Ron, but Ron is simply impossible to hate, and I'm really digging this story line. Granted, I still don't think Ron and Edwin should be together, but I still appreciate the drama.

Whoever did the music at the beginning of the scene was absolutely spot on. Such quick and fresh music underlined by these more solid, almost foreboding notes. Captures the essence of the scene perfectly. Well done!

Ron looks like an old man to me, he looks to old for Edwin. I would not mind if Edwin was in love with Ron, I just think that they could have given more time to Lucas and Edwin story before one of them would be in love with someone else, like some kind of problem and not a coma, because only a heartless person or someone who does not really love that person would go off and fall for someone else.

I hope the guilt is immense for Edwin and Ron! Lucas is amazing. Though really just kissing some other guy given the circumstance isn't a break upable offence. if they couldn't have had Lucas in a coma for longer, would have been better. But SUPER happy Lucas is back!!!!

Come on, how old is Edwin? 18, 19 at most? He's probably horny as hell, what he did wasn't so much out of desire or love for Ron; it was him being impulsive and giving into sexual urges. Not saying it's right, but cut him some slack. What he did is not unforgivable. Although I do admit 2 months is a very short amount of time. 5 to 6 months would be a lot more understandable.

NOW its getting interesting! I love seeing Lucas so soft and vulnerable. and yet, there is this hint of the same old invincible and strong Lucas inside him. Ferry has seriously outdone himself. :)
I am definitely disappointed with this storyline- they really rushed the ROnwin angle and they literally didn't even get 60 seconds to enjoy each other before the whole thing came crashing down. It would have been a lot more significant if they'd had a few weeks to progress to something meaningful before Lucas woke up.
Well Anton proved he doesn't like Lucas he called him a goofball. I guess for Anton he wanted to see Edwin with someone like Ron someone he felt was more successful or going places in life. Remember, Lucas ran a club even though I think that's pretty big task for a young man to undertake.
@GTSTfanMark I'm not so sure about that. I think Anton prefers Edwin to be Ron than Lucas. Anton really believes in education and he believes Ron can be a good influence on his son.

@JordanjamesX I think Anton has grown a liking to Lucas, I have always seen goofball as a loving word, it's not a word you use against someone you dislike, but more of a sarcasdic word you use against someone you like who can still annoy you sometimes :) I would say "you are such a goofball" with a smile on my face to my friends when they are being funny silly :) you know goofing around being goofy :)

Edwin was just using Ron he never loved him for his lust for his sex. But we have to understand that Edwin is only 18 years old and I guess for a teenager two months is a long time not to have sexual contact or at least express their sexuality.
I don't think this will be like the Luke/Noah/Reid love triangle just because Ron is so new. I also feel a bit sorry for Ron to be honest. I don't see the chemistry that Edwin and Lucas have than Edwin and Ron. Ron looks like the lost boy there.
Many people are saying 2 months isn't a long time to wait, and I agree, but you also have to factor in Anton telling Edwin (every chance he got) to move on, and Lucas was never gonna wake up. I think that might have played a part in Edwin's decision to give up waiting.
Edwin is such a hypocrite...... When they broke up for a little while last season Edwin said "In a relationship you choose each other unconditionally"... apparently he mean unconditionally unless your significant other is in a coma for two months and you meet an attractive intern. Almost makes me wish for Marco back... at least he was faithful. Psychotic, but faithful.

@09parisgirl Luke and Noah weren't over it's just that the show was going to be cancelled and they rushed it, it it had long enough time I'm sure they would be very happy. What they had was real love and the most epic chemistry above anything, Jake and Van really did have that chemistry on and off set like we've seen before. I just don't believe they were over it if wasn't for the cancellation of the show.
@kennedyguy33 a little bit but the only thing that resembles is the caring doctor who gets the boyfriend and makes things difficult, the only thing is this show isn't cancelled and the writers aren't rushing things and ending things as well, I think Luke and Noah would still be together if not married in future episodes or at least moved in like they planned.
Why Ron is being so hated!! He never tried to hit on Edwin and he didn't even tell Ed that he was gay. And Ed even tried so hard to avoid Ron for being faithful to Lucas. Two months isn't that long, so the story that they are working on where its maybe supposed to be understandable is not working because now he just comes across as a horny guy that is willing to find the next person that comes along..No sympathy for Edwin, especially considering all the things that Lucas has put up with for him! Also this seems like the convenient love interest where his dad likes Ron right off the bat, whereas Lucas had to earn it! Looking forward to mad Lucas, grovelling Edwin!
@mythologylover23 I beg to differ. I think two months is a long time when you think someone might die. Lucas isn't studying abroad or on some sort of work/military trip. He was comatose in the hospital and Edwin was hurting and lonely. I definitely think Edwin should cut himself some slack and I hope Lucas will too, because right now I think that's all that's standing between them. Edwin likes Ron, but it's obvious from this episode that he's still deeply in love with Lucas.
not to only get into the physical part of this but i feel like when lucas and edwin gaze at eachother the acting looks alot more genuine and even their kisses don't seem as forced as the kisses between ron and edwin
maybe its just the actor's chemistry sometimes you have and sometimes you don't
i dont hate ron i've been trying to see how that could work out but i dont really want to watch them together if the chemistry doesn't improve

I don't get the hoopla people are feeling for Ron. We havent seen him and Ed really spark all that greatly together, and he comes off stiff to me. And a passionate kiss is a passionate kiss. Whats the big deal about it just because it was w/ Ron?
The falling apart is going to be brutal for Lucas when he finds out, and that there's still feelings for Ron that Ed is conflicted about! Lucas has by far been through the most for love, and has almost lost his life again. He deserves only the best now.

I love how easy it is for some people to blame Edwin for being lonely after two months and virtually no hope, when Lucas made out with another guy thirty seconds after a fight with Edwin. I like both characters, but Lucas is not a perfect angel when it comes to sex and relationships. Edwin waited months and was constantly told to basically give up. Do you honestly think Lucas wouldn't have done the same thing Edwin did? I'm seeing some serious double standards here.
@1aurien Um, Ed was sleeping with Wiet to deny his sexuality/romantic feelings for Lucas, and wasn't really all that considerate of Lucas' feelings after leading him on. THAT'S why Lucas was kissing that DJ in the club. He had every right to move on/make Ed jealous at that point. There is no double standard, because after fighting for Ed and after all he suffered through with Anton, he wasn't going to get caught up with someone else and give up after only 2 months if things had been reversed.

He also proposed a threesome with Edwin when he thought the relationship might start to become too boring. Edwin said no because he was only interested in one person. They were wrong, but obviously Edwin didn't know that.

Lucas for the same reasons as Ed, he was already head over heels for the guy, but wanted to avoid something like exactly what's happening with Ron. He'd rather have been included in Ed's potential desire of other men so they could stay together, and thought he was asking too much of Ed to commit to him so early in his coming out.

Because I seriously doubt Lucas (being a character on the soap that did this in the first place) would wait years to pursue someone he also had feelings for, after two months of denial, and doctors telling him straight-up that Edwin may never awaken. I agree he's stubborn, but he's also on GTST, lol. In a reversed situation, he's not gonna stay celibate.

It wouldn't be as dramatic, although angst-crying and other kinds of shameful distractions besides infidelity have their value, but consistent writing would have Lucas going to psychics and injecting Comatose!Ed with experimental drugs before he'd give in to getting lost in the eyes of and being bent over by some dreamy hospital intern....SEVERAL months later.

Come on, how old is Edwin? 18, 19 at most? He's probably horny as hell, what he did wasn't so much out of desire or love for Ron; it was him being impulsive and giving into sexual urges. Not saying it's right, but cut him some slack. What he did is not unforgivable. Although I do admit 2 months is a very short amount of time. 5 to 6 months would be a lot more understandable.

I am definitely disappointed with this storyline- they really rushed the ROnwin angle and they literally didn't even get 60 seconds to enjoy each other before the whole thing came crashing down. It would have been a lot more significant if they'd had a few weeks to progress to something meaningful before Lucas woke up.

@JordanjamesX I think Anton has grown a liking to Lucas, I have always seen goofball as a loving word, it's not a word you use against someone you dislike, but more of a sarcasdic word you use against someone you like who can still annoy you sometimes :) I would say "you are such a goofball" with a smile on my face to my friends when they are being funny silly :) you know goofing around being goofy :)

Edwin was just using Ron he never loved him for his lust for his sex. But we have to understand that Edwin is only 18 years old and I guess for a teenager two months is a long time not to have sexual contact or at least express their sexuality.
I don't think this will be like the Luke/Noah/Reid love triangle just because Ron is so new. I also feel a bit sorry for Ron to be honest. I don't see the chemistry that Edwin and Lucas have than Edwin and Ron. Ron looks like the lost boy there.

Many people are saying 2 months isn't a long time to wait, and I agree, but you also have to factor in Anton telling Edwin (every chance he got) to move on, and Lucas was never gonna wake up. I think that might have played a part in Edwin's decision to give up waiting.

What they had was real love and the most epic chemistry above anything, Jake and Van really did have that chemistry on and off set like we've seen before. Two months isn't that long, so the story that they are working on where its maybe supposed to be understandable is not working because now he just comes across as a horny guy that is willing to find the next person that comes along..No sympathy for Edwin, especially considering all the things that Lucas has put up with for him! Also this seems like the convenient love interest where his dad likes Ron right off the bat, whereas Lucas had to earn it! Looking forward to mad Lucas, grovelling Edwin!

@mythologylover23 I beg to differ. I think two months is a long time when you think someone might die. Lucas isn't studying abroad or on some sort of work/military trip. He was comatose in the hospital and Edwin was hurting and lonely. I definitely think Edwin should cut himself some slack and I hope Lucas will too, because right now I think that's all that's standing between them. Edwin likes Ron, but it's obvious from this episode that he's still deeply in love with Lucas.

maybe its just the actor's chemistry sometimes you have and sometimes you don't

I love how easy it is for some people to blame Edwin for being lonely after two months and virtually no hope, when Lucas made out with another guy thirty seconds after a fight with Edwin. I like both characters, but Lucas is not a perfect angel when it comes to sex and relationships. Edwin waited months and was constantly told to basically give up. THAT'S why Lucas was kissing that DJ in the club. He had every right to move on/make Ed jealous at that point. There is no double standard, because after fighting for Ed and after all he suffered through with Anton, he wasn't going to get caught up with someone else and give up after only 2 months if things had been reversed.

Lucas for the same reasons as Ed, he was already head over heels for the guy, but wanted to avoid something like exactly what's happening with Ron. He can't be discouraged, almost to a fault, when he believes in something, and he's got great instincts. If the coma had been switched, he'd have held on to the bitter end.
He's got family if he's lonely, sex isn't so crucial. They're different,and I can't ask the same things of them, but love is love. Only 2 months? Ed's weak.

@Iclabon72 I think we just have a different opinion on what "the bitter end" would actually be for them then. Because I seriously doubt Lucas (being a character on the soap that did this in the first place) would wait years to pursue someone he also had feelings for, after two months of denial, and doctors telling him straight-up that Edwin may never awaken. I agree he's stubborn, but he's also on GTST, lol. In a reversed situation, he's not gonna stay celibate.

@1aurien As a soap character, yes, but it'd still be a longer road for Lucas. It wouldn't be as dramatic, although angst-crying and other kinds of shameful distractions besides infidelity have their value, but consistent writing would have Lucas going to psychics and injecting Comatose!Ed with experimental drugs before he'd give in to getting lost in the eyes of and being bent over by some dreamy hospital intern....SEVERAL months later.

I cannot believe all the people being like oh wow Ron and Edwin, amazing! Yeah right, he's cheating on his boyfriend when he's in a coma (not for a year or two, no two months!!!), it's wrong on so many points: from Ron cos he's a doctor and wrong from Edwin ... I can't wait to see Edwin break the news to Lucas, I bet Lucas is gonna fight to get him back but my hope is he's not going to and just refuse to speak to him anymore
