  • Very good!

  • I just take my m16a4 and make a triple headshot

  • he dont need to be bruce.. .. bruce is movie master .. bayer is true wing chun master ;)

  • @Zeratursa I know this guy he is the mater from my friend and he was be trainiert from the best friend from bruce lee and sometimes bruce lee has practice him too

    also pssst :D

! !lg

  • so? his gongfu works. that's the only important thing to me and the reason why i'm learning it.

  • Bruce Lee used to do pole fighting in his movies. Looked like this!

  • no wonder! philipp bayer and bruce lee had the same teacher, wong shun leung. a pity, that he never used a longpole in his movies. but for example in "enter the dragon", you can see him perform some basic moves from the ving tsun longpole form. actually, a lot of lee's techniques have their base in ving tsun.

  • but mr. bayer ain`t bruce.^^

  • @leungchaan I was informed that Grandmaster Yip only taught the long pole form to two people therefore Bruce Lee did not actually know the form

  • @mgk22 Wong Shun Leung knew the form, and since he was Lee's older training partner (sihing) and also his friend, it is very probable, that Bruce Lee knew the form.

  • @leungchaan I never heard that WOng Shun Leung knew it but ok granted that he may have known it I still doubt that Bruce Lee knew it reason is that its one of the last things taught in Wing Chun(or should be atleast) Bruce Lee wasnt even taught Biu Jee and other advance things he wouldnt have been ready for it keep in mind also that what he used in ETD was not the long pole at all but also remember that in Chinese martial arts you may find simliarities in the forms of different kung fu styles

  • @leungchaan remember to that the long pole form is not exclusive to Wing Chun

  • @leungchaan think you'll find its 'wing chun' tht bruce lee had base in, ving tsun is a relativly new stylised version of WC created by leung ting. peace!

  • @hitter1 Actually Wing Tsun is the term created by Leung Ting. Not Ving Tsun.

  • cool

  • this is good VT!!

    MOre of mr. Bayer please!

  • Anyone know, are there any other videos of Philipp Bayer demonstrating Wing Chun??

  • Click on his profile i guess :)

  • haha

you speak like someone who has a lot of experience with ving-tsun. The longpole is a Tradition and not only a weapon. You can train you ving-tsun with it.If you would see philipp in action then you will know what i mean.

one question : what is your sport???

  • Those are far too long to control.

  • no, they're not too long to control. just because there's no fancy whirling around doesn't mean there's no control...you watch too many kung movies. when it comes to real pole fighting, there's no more whirling...

  • I understand, I just prefer using shorter polearms, and more aggressively. With a longer stick, my techniques are out the window.

  • true; a long pole is harder to control than a shorter one. but if you would experience the massive power that philipp is able to generate with the longpole by just moving the tip of the pole for about some inches, you would understand, that it is by far agressive enough to break a forearm.

  • the longpole is not just longer, but also a lot heavier than a usual pole. so if you perform the form of the longpole, you train the muscles of your arms, your back, your legs and around your hip in a certain way that no weightlifting can do. it improves your structure, your stance and your punches.

  • so training with a longpole in combination with wallbag and heavy bag is the only way to develop the power you need for a short-arm boxing system like ving tsun. otherwise your short punches will always lack the power to really knock somebody out.

  • I see. Thank you, that's all very interesting.

  • that is 100 percent true ! thumbsup

  • trainierst du bei philipp? ;-)

  • yessir :))

  • lol spittlelicker.

  • plz, poles r not like swords

  • Kgledhill, please count the sounds. I hear more than Two.

  • and waddaya wanna tell us withat statement? this is a beginners basic exercise , not to be misunderstood as real combat ! you would not be able to listen any pole sound in real combat against philipp cause he knocks you down quicker than the speed of light :))

  • this is quality expression of pole

  • @engelwelz:

    grooz, leungchaan.

  • What you see is a beginner´s exercise . Fighting with the Pole indeed loks alot different (when Philipp does). Everybody who would like to know about his skills can visit Philipp Bayer aks someone like Desmond Spencer who comes to train from London to Menden/Germany why he takes such a long way ?

    greets , Mike

  • The Luk Dim Boon Kwan should not make two sounds.

  • And from what I've seen, the long pole never making is primarily a WT concept, though possible other systems use the same idea. This guy is a VT guy so does his differently.Though in WT Bui Tse concepts use the idea of destroying everything you touch,if the opponent changes the range after the intial concept, why not destroy his ability to use the pole while you have the chance before closing the range for the kill?

  • Mr.Axlegreen,I have nothing against Mr. Bayer my observation is on the pole use displayed in the clip... perhaps you have not heard of the Kuen Kuit?....my suggestion before you comment is to read it. To understand what I am talking about and what the relevant portion of the Kuen Kuit and How WSL taught it...perhaps see one of Wong's Hong Kong students ie...Ng CHun Hong or Koo Kin do the pole ;-) Best of luck in your training.

  • well, your skills must be superior then, huh, tubedydeck?

philipp bayer is one of the most skilled ving tsun masters

out there. he's a student of wong shun leung, who learned

directly from yip man...so i suggest, you challenge him with

a longpole, since you're such an expert.

but tell me, if you do so, i'll tape it for you...

  • Dude thats harsh!!I You'd condem him to taking a long pole to the throat just because of his ignorance of whats going on here?!

  • well, i just can't stand keyboard-warriors, who believe, they

can lambast something they don't know s**t about.

it may not look fancy, or elegant, but that's not what it's all about.

people are just too biased, because they watch too many well choreographed kung fu flicks. they fall for the looks...

  • I lol'd... the funniest thing I've seen today. Huge lack of skills makes watching the video worthwhile

  • Endlich mal was von Philipp. Wurde auch mal Zeit ;)
