  • @tubecontrol3 really?

  • @kayzkzkzkzk really. Its based on the german transrapid train. The chinese bought one,and copied its technology. As usual.

  • The inventor of maglev was Henry Kolm, he and Bruce Montgomery who worked with him on many projects at MIT, after decades of trying to get funding from the US Department of Transportation and being shot down each time by Republican misadministrations, wound up dealing with China to go beyond lab experiments into full scale development and production.... It's NOT tech stolen from the Germans. Kolm -invented- it, along with angioplasty, rail guns, mass drivers...

  • i would be scared to death to ride on there, looking like its going to tip over the side. i would have a panic attack

  • SC2Slyphen maglev's don't NEED a vacuum tunnel, its only for reaching speeds above the 500-1000 KM range, as somebody also mentioned in the comments, but as i said, the problem is not speed, but speed wise, the maglev is 100 of times better than a car.

  • اخخخخخخخخ

  • Tse, of course they fail to mention that they stole the technology from Germany.

  • @wolfmanAl the technology was BOUGHT not stolen

  • China now is developping a vacuum turner 1,000km ph train, the highest speed can reach 4,000kmph

Chinese high tech development is stunning, it show in their moderm missils

  • @fdoca Learn to research, the vacuum technology for maglevs are neither new nor stunning.

Speeds are amazing, the technolgy used for it, not so much.(the vacuum part).

  • @COldfusionstorm Hope u r engineer, Sofisticate tech is not for amature. to have a commercial operation (which means serious tech) it run a 10,000 tons, 15 minutes to reach 394.1 kmph, 1 second speed at 97 meters, secured auto override braking speed 6km, every 5 km multi sensor bank, crossing shockwave windon panel withstand 1000kmph train crossing in a 226 tunnels exploding, imploding wave. a unelievable stunning success, tech package is most sofistcate then any orther tech can think off

  • @COldfusionstorm you are talking about making a vacuum tunnel for god knows how many miles, and a train will travel 1000+ km/h, the technology that have to be used in making this tunnel is stunning none the less, we are not talking about labs or experiments where it will only be used once a while, this will be used on a daily basis and the safety protocol and other sensors that will distribute the pressure is massive. theres a reason no one done it yet.

  • @SC2Slyphen The pressure applied should be pretty similar to any plane you see in the sky. And with aviation technology in mind, the idea is not so bad. The lanes have to be longer than I could imagine, though (maybe as long as the Trannsib), like the trans-atlantic lane some guys have in mind.

  • The 'advantage' if you could call it that, is that maglev track is completely incompatible with everything. It cannot use existing rails into downtown terminals, hence it cannot get delayed by other trains. It cannot possibly have a highway crossing or run in the street, so it cannot be delayed by traffic like light rail.

The disadvantage is this exclusive guideway makes the cost even worse.

  • 80 to 100 km/hour ? Tht's pretty slow !

  • @soshmed1943 That is INSIDE A CITY!, INSIDE A GOD DAMN CROWDED CITY!.

your lucky if you can pull 20 Kilometers off in such a large crowded city.

slow?, not at all, and eventually as people get used to it, the speed can be raised if the public wishes it.

  • @soshmed1943 You can't do more than that unless you are going intercity...

  • applications of superconductivity.
