  • OEEEEEEE OEEEEEEEEE OEEEEEEE 1:52

  • Man, I was born in the wrong generation :p

  • Summer: wish you were here!

    Great song!!

  • is it just me or does the guitar at the start sounds like johnny b goode??

  • @ChrisHaze007 YES IT DOES LIKE 100%

  • @ChrisHaze007 That riff was invented by Chuck Berry - classic! Chuck originals influenced many that followed, Beatles, Stones, etc.

  • @OnlyPartiallyHere No it was not invented by Chuck! That is a long "legend" if ya will. It's note for note he even admits it, he took it from a a song from the the 40's I think I forgot the name, might even the 1930's.

  • @tatethompson1234 Where can i verify this? A little help, pls.

  • @OnlyPartiallyHere Louis Jordan - Aint That Just Like A Woman from 1946. Go on Wiki or read some chuck berry books ect,

  • @tatethompson1234 Yeah, I'll do that - I just thought it would be a little quicker if you had the information. Chill.

  • @ChrisHaze007 Yes it does.

  • Comment removed

  • @ChrisHaze007 and so ?? -.-

  • @ChrisHaze007 cause the beach boys took the music from chuck berry, they got sued for it. this and i think surfing usa use chucks music note for note.

  • @ChrisHaze007 where do you think the guitar from johnny b good got there rift? from the beach boys you dumb fucking prick

  • JYFI - The opening guitar riff was played by Glen Campbell! Last time I saw the BB live was1978...Dennis was higher than a kite, but the concert rocked!

  • Another ad!

  • Great, another thing that Rebecca Black has ruined.

  • 18 people got their T-bird taken away by their daddy :-(

  • These guys used to come on our local radio station a lot when I was little, so I love this song to death! The weird thing is.....I'm more of a Hardcore/Heavy Metal kid.

  • im 19 and the beach boys are one of my favorite bands ever!

  • Fun Fun Fun Fun looking forward to the weekend

  • Im proud to be a Virginian but i covet the Californian Awesomeness..

  • How come there's no more music like this?

  • @VitalSigns1 listen to mgmt and foster the people =]

  • FunFunFun

  • @bugnut82 i'm sure the '60s was nothing but fun, that'll be why people started rebelling and rioting and taking shitloads of drugs... oh wait. as a matter of fact, the beach boys serve to reflect and ultimately expose this naive idealization of that era, their sugar-sweetness barely veiling an anxious, vulnerable core.

  • the whos in this song at 1:58 for example remind me of the ones in sexy sadie and what kind of bass is that a fender V1

  • Ojala esta musica vuelva me gusta mucho el rap, la cumbia villera me da asco

  • A Top 5 for The Beach Boys in March 1964. The top spot was occupied by The Beatles at the time. It was no doubt that they were the breakout stars of the 1960's, but The Beach Boys were making waves of their own. And it looked like they were going to be stars in their own right.

  • you gotta love that guitar

  • Respected music.

  • Why does the youtube suggestion say "Fun Fun Fun Beach Boy"? I'm fairly sure there was more than one Beach Boy.

  • really awesome :D still like the beach boys :)

  • And you know what? It really didn't matter!

  • I was born back then. It was cool, but there was no internet and no cell phones.

  • @preorganizedchaos oh Then I wish I was born right before then!

  • From all of us out here on the West Coast to all of you in FB Nation....Enjoy!

  • read somewhere that this is one of brian wilsons best songs, its not, its one of chuck berrys best songs though.

  • @academicape im all for original songs over redone versions, but that doesnt make this one automatically bad- blue suede shoes isnt an elvis song (still better), GnR redid knockin' on heavens door (also better), michael buble redid practically everything sinatra did (sinatra is better :P) so there ya go

  • @covertjo guns and roses have never done anything better that somebody before them has done.

  • real music to my ears

  • Comment removed

  • I was born a generation too late, I love this kind of music!

  • NO NOT THE THE THUNDERBIRD

  • They look like little Kens in a toy car in that picture <3

  • I wish I had a T-bird.

  • Top tune.

  • Beach Boys FTW.

  • Wow this really sounds like "Johnny B Goode"!!!

  • @ThePingof Close, it does sound like Chuck Berry, but the song is "Roll Over Beethoven". It's exactly the same.

  • For some reason these songs bring back memeories when i was little bc my mom raised me on this kinda music and i listen to it alot and im 16

  • You say Lady Gaga, I say Jon Bon Jovi

You say Hannah Montana, I say Beatles

You say Owl city, I say Beach Boys

You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Rolling Stones

You say Justin Bieber, i say Queen

You say Taylor swift, i say Guns & Roses

95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thumb this up, then copy and paste it to least 5 video's. DONT LET ROCK AND ROLL DIE!!

  • @spartan171jidman

    old.....

  • @spartan171jidman Bon Jovi sucks lol

  • @blahblahblah8478 well it depends..some of his songs are Great and then he makes a streak of bad songs then has another etc.

  • @spartan171jidman You say that, I say stfu that's getting old

  • Sounds like Johnny B Good

  • I was born in Coventry, UK in 1973 and grew up in the Warwickshire countryside. The climate was unsuitable for surfing and in any case we were at the furthest point from any coastline in the UK. Moreover most of the UK coastline is unsuitable for surfing, and I was born 20 or more years to late to take advantage of the California surfing boom. I have never tried to get my hair sunbleached, worn deck shoes or a vertically striped T shirt. I have never referred to a woman as a 'chick'.

  • Surf music with a touch of Chuck Berry!

  • I hear the organ solo as follows: Bflat7 twice (I chord at 1:09), Eflat7 twice(IV chord at 1:12), back to Bflat7 twice at 1:15, F6 (V chord at 1:18), ending with a high Bflat6

(I chord at 1:19). This leads nicely back to the home key a fifth below, namely Eflat at 1:21.

  • This tune has stood the test of time. Excellent.

  • Like cool, sweet water washing over you!

  • The intro riff sounds like Johnny B Goode

  • @fightforyourrights9 the were a mixture of mostly chuck berry and the four freshman

  • Was raised in the 60's when this song came out and was VERY popular. Now, I have raised my son (a Marine in his 20's) on this, and other songs, by the Beach Boys.

My son said that it was amazing how many guys in Iraq last year would sing the Beach Boys stuff when they were doing PT.

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU WERE BORN IN CALI :D

  • @tifrymeez Wasn't born in California, but I was born in Texas. Is that still cool? :)

  • @tifrymeez i thought the beach boys were from detriot

  • I bet the 17 ppl who disliked this song went "what? i thought the button with the thumbs down meant no i don't dislike this song......fml -_-"

  • While this music is admittedly pretty good, I am bummed the general population isn't more hip to the genius of Brian Wilson's Pet Sounds, Smile, plus a whole host of his other brilliant compositions.

  • 675 people are having fun fun fun (there isnt that better now)

  • The song starts out in E flat major and transitions to a B flat major organ break at 1:09. Brian paves the way for this transition with a stunning F major V chord in a totally unexpected place, on the word "T-Bird" at 1:08. (Cf. the harmony in the previous verse.)

  • @ronaldjevans I have studied this tune and the organ solo. It is simple, but original and brilliant. The organ solo essentially takes the major triad, goes to a flatted 7th (blues 7th), then a second inversion 4 chord, and then the triad. Brian Wilson used this configuration in several other of his early surf and hot rod hits.

To simplify, if you were in the chord of C, it would be CEG, C G Bb, C F A and C E G. Just try it on the keyboards. I cal it cascading thirds.

  • ooooweeeeeeee-oooowoooooooooo-uuuhhhhuuuuhhhhhhh

  • Fun, fun, fun, driving to the beach on the weekend...

  • holy crap, real music...

  • their music makes me happy

  • 16 people didn't have a t-bird in the first place

  • The head gasket blow took my T-bird away D:

  • 15 tanless hides about to be hit

  • 1:52

    My favorite part

  • The intro sounds like "Johnny B-Goode" :)

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob Hahaha pretty much what I just said lol I'm okay with that cause you wrote it correctlly and I didnt XD

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob - yep, but this is a song from Brian B Better

  • @oshawaxpress who?

  • 1960's= fun, music, fun and more fun. 2011 = depressing, boring, greed, vanity, and just flat out nothing good to look forward to.

  • @bugnut82 ya i know! ur so right!

  • @bugnut82 The 60s were nothing fun. I was a teenager/adult in the 60s, and there was nothing fun about it. Hippies, riots, Vietnam, JFK assassination, etc. It was the beginning of the dark times we are in now.

  • imagine how many people smoked to this song...

  • i heard this playing in a comic book shop awhile back :D

  • YAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! It's a roll'in around to that time of the year again! SUMMER!

     FUN FUN FUN!

  • I have been there. And I am watching my nieces be there now. And they won't learn from my mistakes. Can't drive faster than your angels can fly. Just hoping the angels put on sky rockets for these kids.

  • rebecca black loves this song!

  • @larouxlove Rebecca black makes me want to kick a small child, or kitten at that matter!

  • Is there one person on earth who likes Mike Love?-No

  • damnnnn oldddddddddddddddddddd asssssss songgggg(x

  • Damn I wish i was born back then!

  • @laurenblahblah8 Yeah, I know what you mean... It seems there's been a bit of a mix-up, because there seem to be a whole lotta people around who feel they were born decades too late. :'(

  • @laurenblahblah8

I was, wouldn't trade it for the world....

  • @tejeffers1 I think the only thing I wouldnt like is how their surfboards have no leashes :S But besides that I would have a awesome time. Lucky you!

  • @theotherbabies well I want a new judge -_-

  • Love it lol !

  • the intro is used in soo much rock and roll music, i wasnt there, but its so unlikely that they got sued for it.

  • good song. from Japan thanks

  • GO Girl GO GO GO (the one in the t-bird)

    GO Girl GO GO GO

    GO Girl GO GO GO

    Girl B Goode

  • 11 People arent having FUN FUN FUN :D

  • A lot of rock n' roll from the 50's and early 60's has that same intro. Thats what was popular, it's not from any song in particular.

  • @Karateworm Somewhat true. But you've got John, Paul, Ringo, and George's solo stuff, plus Wings. It's just that the BB never broke up.

  • And now, It's Chuck Berry's 67th variation on the same song... Wait, the Beach Boys? You sure? All right then!

  • @DhizKanichioko FINALLY, someone who realizes this isn't "ripping off" Chuck Berry.

  • Oh fun fun fun!! yeah gr8 song but totally coppied i think!

  • jonny b goode

  • i have an amazing music video that plays in my head every time that i listen to this song- or at least a talent show act with a cardboard t-bird thats carried by a blond and guys with fantastic dance numbers- i have been visualizing it ever since i was a little girl- hopefully it will come true someday

  • @sarahita926 Me too! EXACTLY THIS!

  • just fun fun fun ! remember this great time.smoke...

  • Oh god...

    Awesome!

  • great song

  • AND from teh beach boys before =3

  • this is from are we done yet i think XD

  • Beach Boys and Beatles were trend setters and unique in their own right. One was not better than the other. That's just stupid. If anything, the Beatles had bigger portfolio than the BB. But both were simply genius in what they did and accomplished.

  • @probrojeffro The Beach Boys have released far more albums than the Beatles actually, they carried on making genre pushing music well into the 70s.

  • @Karateworm thats because their the FREEKIN BEST!

  • @bliesberg No doubt :P

  • awesome song, love it

  • Beach boys are still the best band ever!

  • I'm sorry, but Beach Boys > Beatles

  • @BailarinaTrojana

    What do you mean?

  • @BailarinaTrojana

How can you say that? You obviously don't know the difference between bands. You need to appreciate different bands.

  • 11 people dont know how to have fun

  • The Beach Boys VS The Beatles?

  • @400batman beatles but beach boys are still great but beatles are better

  • @400batman Beach Boys squash those lame bugs any day! The beach boys are still playing, they were here in San Diego few years ago.

  • @bliesberg Well Harrison and Lennon are sort of Dead!!

  • @bliesberg They're not really the Beach Boys. It's the biggest shit in history Mike Love, parading around with Bruce Johnson and a load of nobody's singing a load of songs they didn't write.

  • @400batman Beach Boys are way better than beatles (in my opinion) :) They had so much more influence on modern day music :)

  • wow divebomber what branch did you serv in? Wasent the Marine Corp was it.

  • i love this song!!!

  • Fuck me I wish I was a true white American living in the 80s!!! here i said it

the whole world envy and hate you guys while they imitate you ... even my nation

I salute and respect you the TRUE americans!!

  • Comment removed

  • @FalconFreek The United States is great. No question. I'm a proud citizen. But you know what? It wouldn't be worth anything if we didn't have immigrants who come to this country and help make it better. That is one of the things that make the country. Anyone can become a U.S. citizen! If you want to be a citizen, then apply for citizenship (assuming your an adult). That's all this country is... a melting pot of different cultures. By the way, what are you implying by "TRUE americans"?

  • Comment removed

  • @FalconFreek Also, you're posting on a video of the Beach Boys. This is a video about a band singing about California, US. If you are from a different country then you might not know, but California is the most diverse state in the U.S. You have all kinds of people of different races, ethnicities, social and financial backgrounds, religion, sexual preference, etc. Simply put, Diversity is welcome there. There should be no hesitation about being yourself there.

  • @divebomber101 Not so much up here in far Nor Cal. Very heavily right wing, religious, and closed minded. Not all, but a good percentage. I lived in rural Ohio (Amish Country mind you) and encountered more open minded people. The California you speak of exists south of Sacramento. Up here you either have money or you don't.
