I love Miami ink but now it just seems a little to put on. I think all the guys are great artists but you can just tell they are acting in a lot parts of the show which takes away from it. La ink is little bit more real and it not just the same stories over and over and over again. Which makes it more interesting.

we look 2 spiritual aspect that pacificislander cultures had 2wards tattooing, as is similar w/ the traditional practise of buddhist monks &the identification/rites of passage purposes tatt'ing had 4 the inuits. i cnt seem 2 apply d concepts of selfesteem, distorted beauty etc 2 nonWestern cultures simply 4 their lack of exposure 2 media, inequity & social power struggle. our differing opinions on this r contextual & r affected by our upbringing & beliefs. perhaps we may have 2 agree 2 disagree?

arveyhayz, just because there are greater numbers of people engaging in inappropriate behavior doesn't make that behavior any more appropriate or acceptable. it just means that decadence and depravity have become more widespread, which, if you as me, is very alarming.

my guess is that sometimes the sister station of the CW or "my network tv" will air extended versions of their morning news on, in this case, the cw. here in Kansas City for example, the abc affiliate kmbc 9, broadcasts an extended 2 hours of moring news on the CW,(during GMA if you stay on ABC) because they are sister stations. Our CBS affiliate does the same with our "my ksmo" station.

neworldorder65,i respect ur opinion about tattoos,but like most here, I disagree w/ ur perspective. i think its high time that the negative connotations surrounding tattoos r changed- tatts no longer belong to the domain of prisons, bikers or gangs. the denominations of people getting inked is growing and changing- lawyers, teachers, mums etc. we need to stop being oldfashioned, to live & let live. Dylan said the times are a-changin. the world is changing, either we evolve or we get kicked out.

egoleech, you hit the nail on the head when you said getting a tattoo gets you away from the day-to-day basic style of living. that's the very essence of addiction/compulsion--that quick and easy rush in order to feel alive. but my experience has been that the quick and easy (i.e., tattoos, getting high) rarely ever really fills that void, so that at the end of the day you still have that nagging restlessness and discontent. the key to life is to find happiness w/o self-destructing.

I'm not sure what it is that frightens you so much about tattoos. Don't get me wrong, a White Power tattoo is a VERY scary thing, but even that can be viewed as a good thing, as it tells you a bit about the individual.
The premium quality work Kat and her team do is the best of the best. It's usually extremely meaningful to the individual getting it. Once again, you need to be able to separate gang or prison tattoos from personal art.
