whts the general way to break in a new motor. a certain amount of miles?do i need a break in tune? or is it ok to take it for dyno and tune after seating the rings and breaking in the cams?
@d16powerplant ; Cams, run at a 2,000 rpm idle for about 15 minutes for break in, motor itself, 2,500-4,500 miles if slowly beating on it more and more, start out light, and get heavier on the gas pedal, tune it as you go, etc.
I'm guessing it's for a d16 or a mini-me Honda motor.
@d16powerplant ; Sneaky, sneaky man! Nice on the engine choice. I'm thinking about putting a TT Terminator power plant in my FC3 (86-91) RX7, piss a whole lotta people off. lol.
