  • Ross, your tank here is awesome mate. Can you provide some info on it? and the set up? i'd like to do one similar. do you use fertilizers or co2? what plants are in there? thanks!

  • how big are the neon tetra eggs

  • Hey Rossi, do you think I can fit 3-4 cories into my 10 gallon which is planted and has 13 cardinal tetras?

  • how do you know all this stuff? ;P

  • can u plz post a nother video on how to bree cardinals

  • nice video thanks 4 posting

  • I think im going to start breeding them soon ! hopefully a good out come !

  • sometimes i would see two neon chasing each other quite rapidly back and forth while the rest just swim around .

do this mean i have male and female ?

  • Ah come on ross I keep asking the same question but you never reply :( What filter have you got in your tank?

  • I'd suck you...lol

  • @sexy52637 ummm thanks lol

  • why 1 dislike? That meanie! :(

  • @funnymakeslifesunny just the way it is

  • you talk like cheryl cole

  • @BiteOffYourFingers I do indeed :)

  • They are cardinal tetras.

  • @vdanker I know...which is why I said I have cardinal tetras at the start of the vid

  • those look like cardinal tetras. does the red go all the way to the front.

  • @UnderwaterKingdom they are cardinal tetras, yes the red stripe continues to the head

  • @TheRossiboy OMG thanks to your video I have now realised my fish that I brought recently as neons are cardinal tetras well apart from one which i thought was ill as it's red line stops and it's kind of see through looking lol. Is there any difference other then the red line on them? Feel bad now got an odd one out in the tank lol.

  • @Juniorsmummy You may find it will just school normally with cardinals. Only real difference is size.

Cardinal tetras will grow larger (maybe around 1-2 inches longer) but ultimately won't make a difference.

    Enjoy!

  • @ViSligg Thank you :D It does hang around with the others x

  • Good info thanks!

  • @Jfleshtanks thanks for watching!

  • AWESOME VIDEO MEN!!!! THUMBS UP!!

  • @heindiez thanks!

  • Is this a planted tank?

  • How many gallons is your tank?

  • @Inline86 15US gallons

  • @TheRossiboy hi, can you make a video on breeding guppies? Every time my female guppies get pregnant, they die :( how can I Make them successfully give birth?

  • Thanks for the in-depth info about the water quality involved! As well as noting how to tell the difference between male and female neons.

  • @Stothehighest hope it helped

  • nice set up mate

  • @MR3nuts thanks man!

  • lol i gave you a topic with one of your most viewed video (your welcome) :p

  • can you do this process with cardinal tetras?

  • thanks mate, from a fish keeper from sunland

  • How many neon tetras did you buy and how many did you breed yourself?

Very nice tank btw i'm jaleous of you!=-)

    Greetze from Belgium

  • @TheFloxz I mean cardinal tetra

  • 'tet ras" what kind of accent is that?

  • @rwarzor that is a north east english accent lol...that's how it's spelled anyways

  • they only do it in the dark lol ;D

  • @Dandadudemedia much like humans

  • how do you cycle the water?????? help!!!!

  • @123xxhorsexx123 cycling means making the tank safe for fish by allowing good bacteria to settle. to do this put some flake food in the tank and leave the tank for 2 weeks then it's safe for fish :)

  • @TheRossiboy

thanks. did you get your fishes to breed becuase i'm findin' it really hard!!?

  • @123xxhorsexx123 No I didn't try to breed them...neons are quite hard to breed but keep trying and they will

  • @TheRossiboy

yeah!!! i'm shouting at the fishes say... "BBRREEEEDD-BREED!" lol

  • how do u clean the gravel with all those plants

  • @thedylanwoody I don't clean all of the gravel I just clean the front open section :) The poop that lands in the plants will break down and become fertiliser

  • Nice vid ross!!

  • @That70sfishboy thanks :)

  • @TheRossiboy great vid ross it helped i now have baby neon tetras it works your awesome

  • @danielKINGSabc really? that's awesome...I'm glad I helped

  • @TheRossiboy yeah thanks. by the way i cant wait to see your fighting fish tank ive got on myself

  • @TheRossiboy in your next vid could you mention my name in it that would be amazing:))

  • great vid ross but u forgot one crucial part of the breeding step. i would tell u what u forgot but its a secret part in neon breeding.

  • @DisFunkShonCity lol alright then :)

  • @TheRossiboy bro lool but im not an expert but i did a lot of researching and the neon tetra farms in singapore have a method that most people dont know about. its not really a method but a way of preserving the eggs before they are ready to hatch.

  • @TheRossiboy Hint: greeny aquaculture in singapore.

  • @DisFunkShonCity still no clue

  • @DisFunkShonCity Hi Mr DisFunk, may i know more about this greeny aquaculture in singapore? i am currently in singapore and would like to find out more about breeding neon tetras. Do you have any links that can help me? thanks, muchas gracias :)

  • @soulx89 I don't think he'll be notified of your message you could try and send him a private message :)

  • Ross, If you know how and you'd like to... Can you do a How To Breed: Kribensis video? If you can that would be great! ;) Thanks in advance...

  • @Tristansfishcrazy sorry I don't know much about kribs but I might research them and try and do one for you no promises though

  • @TheRossiboy It's ok if you don't...

  • Thanks a lot ross i Favorited the video

  • @FishAreBeast Thanks for favoriting the vid :)

  • very good info ross. i think i want neons in my next tank.

  • @tropix579 thanks :) I'd go for cardinals If I were you they have better colour and grow bigger

  • @TheRossiboy yeah but my lfs has them practically ready to die and the neons are much healthier.

  • @tropix579 oh well whatever works

  • great video Ross

another wee tip is to leave the water level down 25-30% for 2-3 days and then top in up with the slightly colder water

cause they think they have had a little drought then once the water tops up they think it's had a heavey rain

  • @martyb0y1981 oh right...thanks :)

  • nice dude, wheres your other gourami gone??

  • @caiocrz thanks :)....well :/ When I got it from the store it was a bit skinny, and it had a few small black patches on it...the fish gradually deteriated and died, I later found out that the disease was a parasite was called costicia so I dosed the tank to prevent any of the other fish getting ill and they all seem fine and ther's no symptoms I was lucky I caught it in time...but I'll watch out for costicia next time

  • very informative vid mate :)

I find the fry very annoying and tedious to raise though :(

  • @JUNAID187 Thanks mate...oh right I've never actually had any of mine breed so I wouldn't know but I can understand how they'd be hard to breed as even the adult fish are delicate

  • Good info ross

  • @xCODxRDRxHALOxGAMERx thanks :) I try lol

  • Good Vid, 1st!!! hahah

  • @weareallwet Thanks man...lol
