You know...these lyrics are sort of Eerie. As if when translated into English they are actually giving you a forewarning of the 'future' in the .hack//series. Because It's like talking about Cubia returning AGAIN (even afetr the .hack//Infection series is over) and then it DOES in .hack//G.U. WEEEEEEIRD.

Lovely song. I adore their use of old´German. In the lyrics you posted. You wrote Lucht instead of licht. Licht means light. Lucht is ....something else. And I belive Alda is a name or Acronym Because Aura in German is Aura or Aurae plural Auren. Just......thought I'd throw that out there...

the shadow is reffering to Kite, in the original tale thats mentioned, the people with shadows are the humans that entered the fairy land. if i recall correctly the man with shadows was the hero of White which in this case was Kite

acctually, it could be talking about many, many things. harold, or even cubia. theres also reference to the twilight dragon and a shadowed warrior who chases him. the "shadow" refers to alot in .hack. haseo probably has nothing to do with it, as he wasnt even in the plans when .hack//infection came out. he was just sora then, and was there to wrap up the "sign" plot.

the lost grounds are major points in the epitaph of twilight, which is what this is based on, so of course its mentioned.

One more tidbit, since many people are asking.

Anyways, this song isn't actually done by Yuki Kajiura. It's done by the three composers from the 4-vol games, one of which went on to compose GU's music.

Yuki Kajiura DID make a theme named Aura for SIGN, but it is far different from this one. The vocals for the .hack//SIGN themes were all mostly done by Emily Bridinger (sp?). The actual vocalist for this song, from the games, I do not know. However, it is not the same person.

The Song is just the Epitaph of Twilight Sung in german, if you run the english version through the crappy google translator a lot of the lyrics sync up with what she's singing, but google translator sucks, and can't translate perfectly, so you'd need a good translator/someone fluent in german and english to do it for you

Wow. I've played the german versions of the .hack-Games for years and I've always loved that song and now is the first time that I realize that the songtext is actually german. Even if it's quite hard to understand.

yes that is correct, The Creator of "The World" Harald Hoerwick created the game to be the embodiment of Emma's last Work (The Epitaph Of Twilight) And with the both of them being German, it would fit with it.

the spells all sounded like a mix of German/Latin to me.
