  • it has a lot to do with your form. notice that he swings his legs to build momentum and lift himself up easier. yes people might say that this is "easier" but it does in fact make your workout more dynamic and targets more areas of your back... basically its a half-assed muscle-up

  • the ppl that should be doing this arent average lol, its a chellenge yo not a warm up

  • 100 pullups? That's so stupid. The average person can probably do how many? 10 at best per set (probably using a chin-up grip)? And based on being fatigued, the number of reps per set would go down to maybe even 1 or 2 at a time by the end of the workout. The sit ups, pushups, and squats are fine but the pull ups? Please... It should be redesigned to something like 4 sets of a healthy number for YOU

  • you are allowed to do it in sets

  • And why do you think I am a "mother fucker"? My statement isn't supposed to be offensive in any way. What I meant was that you can devide it in sets or just do less - althogh your time won't count.

  • dude thats the problem with people they always want it scaled down or easy that why ppl are lazy and fat

  • @6joesixpack its called kipping for a reason look more into the facts of crossfit you notice they swing themselves as they do a pull up that basically targets and fires many muscles at once mainly your core muscles so it is possible to do 100. If you cant do 100 take a rest on the 20th rep for about 10 seconds then jump back up and do it again.

  • @NBGOW Wow really bro? I wrote that comment 2 years ago lol. I'll stick to doing dead-hangs anyway. Thanks for the superfluous response anyway buddy.

  • thats crazy 100 pull ups i can only do 10 man i guess i would be there doing angie forever i got to say annie is nicer than angie angie is a whore

  • Short version: Kipping allows more work to be done in less time, thus increasing power output. It is also a full-body coordination movement when performed correctly, which applies more functionally to real-life application of pulling skills. Last, but not least, the hip motion of an effective kip mirrors the motion of the olympic lifts/kettlebell swings, adding to it's function as a posterior-chain developer.
