OMG.....takes me back to the "Hippo" in Baltimore dancing with Fontaine and Cheryl........to the spinning of this Vinyl song by "Neci" and "Chuckie"....those were the days....1979!!!!!!May you rest in Peace Dan Hartman an Loleatta Holloway for you have brought many of us beautiful, fun times!!!!
Slayd5K, I feel like I'm back at the Garage, man you got all the classics, only wish Larry was still here, I went on a Garage reunion boatride lil over a year ago...............and we still killed it!
This takes me back to 1979 at Yankee Stadium when I was 17 and dating the cutest security guard.....This song was always on the radio and was "our" song.....Thanks for posting....
What a horrible week that was we lost Loleatta and Elizabeth Taylor within 48 hours our world is darker and smaller talents now run things! This song is one of my favourite disco #'s they don't make em like this anymore talent like this is gone and will be no more these were the Golden Years of music!
Dan Hartman and Loleatta Holloway, MAGICAL and awe-inspiring. Today's music cant even come close. I feel sorry for today's youth, BUT...you can still listen and appreciate this awesomeness. I wonder if their sound waves have left the galaxy yet. LIVE ON, FOREVER....
I,,me had the ultimate pleasure of being at Dan & Loleatta"s show at THE Paradise Garage.Give a big sista a good song and stand back. She made gospel influenced music what it is today! RIP both Dan Lolleata and others who died for our sins on the dance floor
Kids learn it and learn it well!!! Dan Hartman and Loleatta was a force on this one!!! Body and Soul to this day slays this jam to no end!!! I hope at the next session of Body & Soul they give a special tribute to this woman for the work she's done!! I want to leave that dance floor drench in sweat knowing that we celebrated her life and music!! RIP my sista!!
@2009Denisem Thanks for the share......R.I.P. Loleatta Holloway....thank you so very much for the gift of song and know that just as we still dance to your tunes decades later many will dance decades to come!
this was the ultimate disco song floors stayed packed when this song played to bad the younger generation of today don't know or learn to dance to this this era of music
