How to Loom Knit: Beginner E wrap (ew) Stitch

I was wondering how you would use a 22 in long loom to make a blanket? I would like the blanket to be quite large and not just 22 in this would be my first project ever on a knitting loom and I have three different colors I would like to use but cannot seem to find anywhere a pattern or explanation as to how to make a large think blanket on a loom and was wondering if you could help?

@vienna1nova u can use that to make a panel as wide as the loom & double knit (thick) or wrap it single sided using all the pegs in a circle, just without connecting the circle. This will be double the width but thin. Make the panel as long as you want the blanket. Make as many panels as needed for blanket width & connect the sides together by "sewing" with yarn & plastic needle with a mattress stitch. This connects the panels. u could combine the 3 colors or make it striped. :-)

can you do this stich on a round loom? If so would you go all the way around and then go around again?

@Jen1971atCraftyKnits adding a few purl stitches will send the curling effect in the opposite direction. it depends on the look you are going for but you can add a nice border effect with a combination of purl and knit or enwrap stitches to fight curling. see more videos of mine on the garter or rib stitches. search the channel for videos in the right search bar of my main page. @stephy27Pooh1 that's a good question. Depending upon the gauge of your loom and the thickness of your yarn, you may need to double or even triple you yarn to close the gap and make it tighter. The ewrap (also called known and a twisted knit stitch is sort of a loose knit stitch. If you use two strands of one yarn and do all ewrap it will actually be looser looking compared to two strands of the knit. If only one strand is used it can look really open or "loose". Does that help at all?
