Carry Me Home is the best song from the album and The Inside Room is simply unmatched within doom metal. Album of the year. Walker' s sense for creating dramatic and emotional music is exceptional!
@OxidaneProductions yeah, after listening to a few more songs I was - "wtf, these guys are totally ripping off Warning!" - and checked out on metal archives and realized it's him. heheheh
But then I forgot I which video I had posted this previous comment. Thanks anyway!
@SimplyGebus Subrosa are great as well but 40 watt sun just has something that they dont. Maybe i just prefer male vocals for this sort of music. Subrosa remind me more of The River tbh. Still, Borrowed Time Borrowed Eyes is still an epic song.
@PyroStick420 Yes they are more similar to The River (specially cuz of the female vocals). But 40 Watt is also very similar to The River, way more than Warning was. I usually don't like females in metal but I think they pull it off amazingly well. I think anyone who appreciates this will like Subrosa as well ;)
Now this is the tyoe of doom metal music I like the type of neavy strong guitars and I don't even like it when they're too heavy, but this I like with clean vocals gives it contrast without out-and-out growling as well as growls which you've probably guessed I don't like. I like the way the guitar sounds put you in a swirling like trance and makes you feel the emotional pull of the music with the forboding vocals as well as lyrics this is the ideal music to me you can also chillout to as well.
@PyroStick420 Just wanted to let you know that you messed up the lyrics in the description. Second to last line should read "Everything I've done and Undone has gone away" I know its a minor error, but its one of the most powerful lines in the song to me.
@Streetmastaalex Sorry about that but i just copy and pasted it from metal archives. The lyrics are going to be released in a new edition of the album so any mistakes people have made will be sorted then and ill do the same to the lyrics posted in the videos.
THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

I had the chance to see them live, but I saw Opeth instead.
What can I say? Well....fuck. (:

@95didde Rookie.. I Saw 40 watt sun in staid of Opeth... It was like 20 people on that gig, but the act was stunning.

This isn't music. This is a variety of nearly indescribable emotions brought visible, or rather audible.
Pure ingeniousness.

Anyone who likes this should really check out Subrosa. Another great doom band (very similar to 40 Watt) and another contender for AOTY.

@jayodoom Nah
That so far belongs to Varjoina Kuljemme Kuolleiden Maassa
although if I were more of a doom fan, or more of a patrick walker fan, I might agree with your sentiment
