  • A little late but i just got into their music and im addicted!!!

  • clouddead eats animal collective for breakfast lunch and dinner

  • These guys remind me a little of if Animal Collective had more talent and a sense of humour...

  • @TimeForBold .... how?

  • @hobbyordie Ask a more specific question and maybe I'll give a more specific answer

  • @TimeForBold

Hard to really compare the two other than experimentalism but Animal Collective have probably been the most innovative group in music this decade.

  • @chrisbfreelance See, you think Animal Collective are likely THE most innovative group of this decade, that's where any opinion you might have tends to sway towards being invalid. Is it a coincidence the most innovative band is also one of the most highly praised groups by hipster brainwash circuits such as Pitchfork media, etc?

  • @chrisbfreelance No of course not, Animal Collective are 21st century Mozarts, and have no similar traits to a band that used alot of vocal layering and loops in their music such as cLoudDead!

OF COURSE NOT, now excuse me whilst I pretend Strawberry Jam is a great album.

  • FACIAL RECONSTRUCTION FOR THE POPE

  • KABOOSH (that's the hooker hitting the streets)

  • I have been exploring new music on pandora and radio station apps around the world, finding something new for the past two years! Keeping my mind and interests afloat like exploring new foods, steering away from pop culture that the normal American is affiliated by! Yet I'm always drawn back to the Anticon artists for there creative aspects in not generalizing (themselves) as main stream but underground. Anticon(anticonformity with selling out!

  • Man, i remember, at the end of an festival i was on last year it was raining like crazy, people trying to pull the remains of their tents out of the mud, me and some friends, hung over, trying to find our shoes in the chaos and i just went to our car barefoot, put in their first album and let it sound all over the area, it was fucking magical, it felt like the best end of the world i could imagine.

  • Cloudead was awesome. Odd nosdam's beats worked perfectly for dose and why? Don't like why's solo shit nearly as much

  • clouddead or themselves tour would make my life complete.

  • this is artwork

  • so does anyone know about a collection of clouddead videos?

  • 12 people deserve to die and continue listening to some gangsta music in hell

  • 4:39 middle guy is dancing like the undead from wow. God they look like they're having a blast.

  • :o Why is race always the problem with rap?

  • check out Josiah in the back... hangin out like a mu'fuggin gangsta

  • And the HOOKER hits the streets. So Dirty. Dirtier than an Amish orgy.

  • cLOUDDEAD is avantgarde music. Best group of '00. No doubts about it.

  • Yoni and Dose are too as why they wanted to form Anticon.

  • Hating on doseone and cLOUDEAD is now just as cliche as liking them. Bringing up the race thing is pretty weird too. I've listened to them for years and never saw what they look like until now, watching this video. Why can't you just saw "They're not my style"?

  • @rss313 Damn why you gotta bring up race

  • @pomegranites333 You clearly can't see past your white-privilege.

  • Comment removed

  • @rss313 This is one of the most clever hip hop songs ever composed. Nosdam was uniquely brilliant with instrumentals as always, but this might be Why?(Yoni) and Dose's most well written song as cLOUDDEAD members. Obviously, it is about injustices of the corporatizing of hip-hop. In short, it's a fuck you to record labels(and their obedient products) for evacuating the songs they put out and the industry from an art form. As a socialist in america I'm quite aware of white privilege and feel like

  • anyone else think of skinny puppy or other industrial or ebm acts when they here the beat at 2:30

  • crazy shitz

  • clouddead!

  • THIS SHOW WAS ILL SAN FRANCISCO @ THE GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC HALL

  • AVANT GARDE

  • @MrElocho8 Yes, I'm sure that's why everyone likes this. Because we're all drug addicts and we like to "trip out" on this. Moron. Spell "addict" right next time you're trying to insult something.

  • @MrElocho8 Seriously, at least take the time to spellcheck something when you are trying to sound smart.

  • Diggin' Dose's dance moves...

  • original original...

  • KILLS IT

  • Anyone no how to get this song? It's not on either of their albums and that sucks a fatty cuz its sick.

  • @donkeypantsf You can find it on the Sound Of A Handshake EP, though I believe it's out of print.

  • @donkeypantsf you can also find it on the peel sessions. i think it MIGHT actually be this recording of it.

  • @donkeypantsf

If you can find a copy of the full peel session it's on there played the same way as in this video, otherwise there is an EP called sound of a handshake/this about the city.

  • Im planning on getting cancer so i can join the make a wish foundation. My wish is going to see these guys play a show again...... Cancers worth it.

  • @MadRoboSmack i feel you

  • @MadRoboSmack that probably took a little more thought than the joke was worth...

  • @MadRoboSmack i was thinking that about glue

  • @MadRoboSmack cancer is more than worth it... I wish I could see cLOUDDEAD live

  • 3:38

"where the fuck did he get all this money..."

  • THESE GUYS R SUCH A TRIP. well refreshing

  • tinsel ninja masks for all seasonal employees.

    <3

  • Why? should collaborate with Flying Lotus

  • @Outerspacehaze hell yeah!!!

  • AND THE HOOKER.. HITS THE STREETS!

  • 3:22 is LSD.

  • Nope.This ain't L.S.D.Try Ayahuasca by Pelt ,me darling.Then try ayahuasca,also known as yage.xx

  • That's the sound of a dmt trip

  • Wouldn't you say this is pretty much a hip-hop version of animal collective?

  • Comment removed

  • ....what?

  • play nice

  • My GOD! These men ARE indeed musical genuises.... I mean DAMN, "one guy" has a kazoo around his neck.

  • Comment removed

  • I believe it's their ability to express so creatively what's inside their heads that makes them musical geniuses; not what's 'round their necks.

  • I know, right?

  • where is this?

  • Los Angeles

  • Fuckin Amazin' DAMN!!!

  • This is deep, beautiful, and meaningful art—in the purest sense of the word.

    I love it

  • Isn't it? You just can't get enough of it. ^-^

It deeply saddens me that other people cannot appreciate this art. T^T

  • What makes it meaningful?

I'm really interested in hearing why.

  • Elementary; it is meaningful because, as a carefully chosen selection of words is, ideas are encoded into expressive symbols.

  • eeeeeeeehhhh

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry JK, but what you "sincerely think" is most likely wrong.

Your describing of such a situation merely serves to illustrate your lack of understanding.

  • Pause at 2:46 and look at the guy on the right's face when he sees how much more money the other guy has! >XP

  • its not "one guy"

    and "another guy"

    its doseone: "fucking genius"

    and why?: "even more awesome"

  • you can't even compare the two. they're both extravagantly awesome and genius in their own way.

  • Off you pop then and show us how it's done :)

  • @jorgekluney The fact of the matter is that cLOUDDEAD did it first. They have created a sound and feeling that nobody else ever has.

Listen to the radio. Its proof that mainstream musicians have no creativity. Music on the radio is what should be critiqued. Mainstream music may be more accessible to you, but it is obviously easier to duplicate. Not unique, not creative. The musicians just hear it and copy it.

  • @MrBrownh well put :)

  • Doseone and Why? are so funny. XD

This is prolly my favorite song by this trio. ^_^

  • lol, what the fuck is this?

  • It's cLOUDDEAD! :D

  • thats the best part. *WHIP CRACK*

  • Quite. XD

  • ...and the hooker hits the streets...

  • Why the FUCK are people talking about bullshit mainstream crap on here? GTFO.

  • I love apt a part 2 and 1:33-2:16

  • remind me a bit of waht animal collective doing, but it's more "hip hop" oriented.

I totally dig their live execution.

  • cLOUDEAD rule. What the fuck have Nickelback, spidermanjokerock lilwaynebullcrap got to do with it?Twat.

  • This song is awesome.

  • shits soooo sick

  • yes!

  • VERY MASTERFUL!

  • Three artists, ignoring the rules and doing what comes naturally without care to style or sales. An avant hiphop coalition whose schizophrenic compositions, uninhibited vocal stylings, ambient soundscapes, and polished live show have both impressed and baffled. The mushroom cloud of hip hop psychedelia.

  • I like you.

  • @HigherPlanes The shroomery brought you here didn't it..

  • @homegrowntwinkie Uh huh, I go by Roger Rabbit.

  • @HigherPlanes I'm basically a lurker, have an account, but don't post. Looking things up about LSA and the like.

  • @homegrowntwinkie I was joking about the Roger Rabbit bit. It probably went completely over your head unless you hang out in the cultivation forums. Mmmm, LSA. I'm more of a psilocybin kind of guy.

  • then stick with nickelback and lil wayne, you prick.

  • lil Wayne is clearly superior to Nickelback in every way ever you noob.

  • your a idiot obviously you dont kno what muSICK is. since u just stated lil wayne is better then ANYONE.. why do you lie for?? is it that you love havein pants that you love haveing pants that are on fire?ya nub

  • @SICKXPIN742 I just stated he's better than Nickleback, you noob.

  • listening to this fills my heart with joy!

  • jeff is the best drummer in rockandroll.. eat a bar.

  • talk. who cares?

  • "And the hooker hits the street" - best

  • this is vocals as a rhythmic instrument. beautiful in the way it works with all the other industrial soudns.

  • dope!

  • I love that switch up that goes into "NEVER / HEARD / A / WORD"

They only played this song live right?

  • they also recorded these tracks.

  • Damn, it's like a Pink Floyd experience, but with Hip Hop music.

  • this shit rocks

  • dude this stuff is pretty tight, i like why? alot but this stuff is pretty good too.

  • y is he humping the mic?

  • cause hes making love with his music

  • the dvd is nice ..friends of mine purchased it but it's okay because i saw it live and that is much better then the dvd..also the viny cut is great too..

  • FFFUUUCKCK IIMMM STOOONEED

  • this is beyond amazing. pure genius.

  • YONI WOLFFFF <3333333

  • mush tour dvd was a purchase ill NEVER regret.

reaching quiets set makes it worth purchasing alone, but APT A and ALL YOU CAN DO IS LAUGH by ddead is also on that bitch.. definitely recommended to anyone who gave this a thumbs up.

  • no, whats important is that you just seen art.

  • I think what;s real important here is that Odd Nosam is usually stage invisible and that's a shame. For the directionally confused, Yoni Wolf is clearly the guy in the baseball cap and Dose One is clearly the guy in the bowler/derby. Also Dose does the "We need an artist to break part" and Yoni does the "Never heard a word" part

  • you must be satisfied

i dont why, but this is just flawless

  • I'm saying in this point of view yoni is left, dose is right, but if it was in their point of view it would be the other way, that's all.

  • you must be satisfied

  • is that gold chains?

  • This is frighteningly white.

  • It's frighteningly good you mean? Colour's got fuck all to do with it.

  • I'm not implying any assessment of quality, I'm just saying that if you want to show someone what a white geek would sound as sonic waves, you'd probably point them to this.

  • Fair enough. I just reckon it's dangerous territory when folk start labelling things 'black' or 'white' when those terms don't really apply. Especially since what people tend to label as black is ususally incredibly insulting.

  • this is pretty white I guess but it's hardly comparable to things like They Might Be Giants or Dave Matthews Band which are like as white as you can get.

  • its what happens when you give talented, white, hip hop artists drugs :D you end up with something awesome regardless!!

  • OMG this song is soooo good when ur baked!!! SRSLY

  • This is what it will sound like when the universe reaches its furthest boundaries and begins to reverse back into itself.

  • so good. sounds like a lot of disdain for big dada...

  • It's not a diss. It's just highlighting all the little absurdities of being signed to a label.

  • Being given a label, or signing to a record label?

Because there's nothing absurd about being signed to Anticon.

    Anticon frickin' rules.

  • whose who? I know DoseOne is the one standing up on stage left

  • odd nosdam behind the boards

yoni (why) and dose on the mic

  • wrong, why? is the one on the left doseone is on the right

  • homie he said

    stage left

do you know what that means :)

  • yup and why? is on stage left, dose one is on stage right.

  • other way around

  • the future of hip hop? i hope so

  • indeed sir, listen to why?

  • more like the past now.

  • SHIT!!! i just smoked 2 secs ago and now this song is 15 times better...

  • дазаебись!!!

  • You must... be satisfied... teh...

  • does the beat from 1.34-2.16 exist as a separate song,

and if it does, what's the title?

    thanks,

  • no problem miznarik,

you must have figured this was one long mix of stuff, nevermind you,

    sometimes you are truly bonkers

  • this is...a new abstract. this is truly new art. i mean, using the sound of counting money as a beat? POST MODERN HIP HOP-ISM!!!!

  • they should rip it instead

  • talking about money as a part a beat,if you havnt

you should to This Is About the city too

amazeing song actullay GREATEST! Street sounds as a beat in a part of it. Cheack it Out.

  • this is probobly the most incredible footage of this decade

  • thank you clouddead

  • This is ill.

  • and there was me thinking hip hop was all crap pop music...i stand corrected

  • clouddead will do that to you.

  • I got elbowed in the face at a def jux show.. good times.

  • one of the best music dvds ive ever seen. def jux's 'revenge of the robots' is also a cool dvd.

  • i have 1400 favorites, but this video is my true favorite

  • wow nice

  • NOT EVEN ONCE! or u end up like this band
