@Jannikl102 Your english is not too bad. In Canada and the USA fire apparatus "coming home from an emergency" drive like any normal car, with no lights or siren. When they go to back up into the station, they turn on their lights to warn the other cars to stay away, that way its safer for everyone. Hope that helps!
The caption says that the truck co.and engine went on an EMS run and than the guest engine co. went on an EMS run.
What types of EMS calls do they run? Why would the truck and engine respond on an EMS run?
How come the FDNY EMS devision does not have a QRV (Quick Response Vehicle) with a PARAMEDIC on it instead of tying-up a truck with WATER on it in case there is a FIRE?
Can anyone tell me what a SATELLITE truck does? I know it replaced the "super-pumper" system in the 80's - but how often are they actually used? What are they used for?

i like the sound of the sirens echoing of the buildings in new york. im a volunteer in a town of about 2000 people in iowa and it doesnt sound the same. but we have 9 sexy apparatuses
You people are blessed so much. In my little hometown, here in Hungary, there's only 1 firetruck and 1 out of comission. Town pop is about 16.000, althou here are no high density roads. But hell. Go FD GO! :)
I'm assuming no, 239 would take the first call the district got, and 220 would cover it for a secound call during 239's response. In this video, im assuming 220 received a call and was taking it as 239 was returning to station.
which ever engine is in front will get the call when the bell sounds the other will stay in the house unless its a 10-75 then both will go and both engines cover 2 different responce areas both 239 and 220 untill their new house is built
that was my grampas firehouse..he was the tiller driver way back in the day. he died in ww2 and his plaque is in the garage. his name was john leary. its so cool to see the house again.
CRUD that mustuve taken an hour because off all tye stupid civvioians!

no there is one at Downtown (i think it was Downtown) with Ladder 1, Engine 7 and a Battalion
Coanrr 2 years ago
@IR1985 It has two engines and one truck.
What's the difference? An Engine company uses a fire engine, while a Ladder company uses a fire truck.

How does this work? So does 239 have to pull out to let 220 out every time 220 gets a call? And do both these engines cover the same response area?
