  • CRUD that mustuve taken an hour because off all tye stupid civvioians!

  • IS this the only 220 engine FDNY in NY?

  • Jeez, this has got to be a pain in the ass half the time

  • One question , iam german , also my english is bad.

in germany when the fire cars coming home from a emercency , they havent all lights on and the horn.

and why in new york are the cars have all lights on when they coming home.?

i hope you understand me , iam 13 years old.

  • @Jannikl102 Your english is not too bad. In Canada and the USA fire apparatus "coming home from an emergency" drive like any normal car, with no lights or siren. When they go to back up into the station, they turn on their lights to warn the other cars to stay away, that way its safer for everyone. Hope that helps!

  • @JNHstudios

    ah okey thank you.

the firefighters in NY are very nice. i love the cars.

    Check out the german fireCars

  • This Fire Truck has a Detroit Diesel Series 60 turbo engine!

  • Are the transmissions automatic or stick shift? Just curious.

  • i got a question why is engine 220 gonna go when engine 239 could have just taken it.

  • It was in 220's first due.

  • @MrJakemoffitt because 239 still responds to their first due area

  • 122 has a eq

  • Another question:

The caption says that the truck co.and engine went on an EMS run and than the guest engine co. went on an EMS run.

What types of EMS calls do they run? Why would the truck and engine respond on an EMS run?

How come the FDNY EMS devision does not have a QRV (Quick Response Vehicle) with a PARAMEDIC on it instead of tying-up a truck with WATER on it in case there is a FIRE?

  • @four4vizslas Because that's New York and that's how we run shit.

  • Can anyone tell me what a SATELLITE truck does? I know it replaced the "super-pumper" system in the 80's - but how often are they actually used? What are they used for?

    THANKS!!

  • they bring out the satellites when heavy water power is needed. so like in big fires

  • Is this the only firehouse out of the FDNY that has three trucks housed in the same building?

  • It is not.

  • E239 was in there because their house was under construction

The Real "Big House" is in the Rockaways E264 E328 L134

And the Tillary Street Firehouse is huge

    E207 L110 B31 D11 Satellite 6

  • which part? i only know of 266,137,268 and the battalion 47

  • Hey WVS:

What does the SATELLITE do? I know it replaced the "super pumper system" in the 80's. I know they go on all 2nd alarms. How often are they actually used and what do they use them for.

  • i love ny and fdny and nypd and u.s army

  • no there is one at Downtown (i think it was Downtown) with Ladder 1, Engine 7 and a Battalion

  • @IR1985 It has two engines and one truck.

What's the difference? An Engine company uses a fire engine, while a Ladder company uses a fire truck.

  • i like the sound of the sirens echoing of the buildings in new york. im a volunteer in a town of about 2000 people in iowa and it doesnt sound the same. but we have 9 sexy apparatuses

  • You people are blessed so much. In my little hometown, here in Hungary, there's only 1 firetruck and 1 out of comission. Town pop is about 16.000, althou here are no high density roads. But hell. Go FD GO! :)

  • How does this work? So does 239 have to pull out to let 220 out every time 220 gets a call? And do both these engines cover the same response area?

  • I'm assuming no, 239 would take the first call the district got, and 220 would cover it for a secound call during 239's response. In this video, im assuming 220 received a call and was taking it as 239 was returning to station.

  • which ever engine is in front will get the call when the bell sounds the other will stay in the house unless its a 10-75 then both will go and both engines cover 2 different responce areas both 239 and 220 untill their new house is built

  • they made look easy when revsered into the station with a small road

  • fdny is the best

    =0

  • did 239 finished getting renovated yet?

  • No not yet but it it close to being completed.

  • Nice vid Good job

  • wat yr was this vid recored?

  • 2007

  • that was my grampas firehouse..he was the tiller driver way back in the day. he died in ww2 and his plaque is in the garage. his name was john leary. its so cool to see the house again.

  • nice video!! What part of brooklyn are they in ?

  • Park slope

  • is 239 normally in that house

  • No his house is being revovated?
