  • I saw the Michael Stanley Band in like '74 or 75 maybe? at... get this... the student union at Baldwin Wallace College. We loved the Friends and Legends LP and Stagepass hadn't been released yet... we all sat on the floor, smoked tons of dope and the concert blew us away. Good times.

  • Lived here in NE Ohio my whole life.....Heard all of Michael Stanley's music....Sad to think other parts of the country missed out on it.....We go to see him play every summer....He is still very popular here in Ohio :)

  • never heard this before...terrific sax and song.

  • This song reminds me so much of a man I once loved.

I wonder if 20 years later, I ever cross his mind when he hears it.

Hi Robb, if you ever happen to play this video. I never forgot.

  • David Sanborn, best rock sax ever.

  • ONE OF THE BEST I Concur :) QC

  • that sax sounds like raw sex

  • One of the greatest albums ever in the 70's... Still have the album and listen to it now and again when I want to go back to some memories of days gone by....

  • As a Northeast Ohio native, and life long resident, seeing all the negative press nationally about this area,I just Crank up this band and sing THIS TOWN IS MY TOWN and if you don't dig OHIO than get the F*** out!!!!

  • David Sanborn on Sax.

  • A lot of America missed a tremendous talent in Michael......It's criminal actually.

  • The greatest of the unknown bands... This Cleveland native is proud that we supported MSB to the extent that they didn't have to go national..... can you believe that record execs didn't think they were good enough??

  • @330khz I agree totally with you.......I'm from Akron, been playing guitar for 30 + yrs.....My life has been immersed in music......He was as good as Bob Seger, Montrose, REO Speedwagon, Etc.......NEVER could understand why he didn't make it......I mean really make it big !!

  • Michael Stanley.....and band....just a rendezous.....

  • Wow, what a great song. My dad said he used to listen to this when he was 17, so I thought i'd check it out. Turns out I really like it.

  • @nutscroll Soooo cool. Cleveland DOES rock!!! Thank your Dad for me!

  • A great example of Midwestern rock ... we love a certain sound there, and baby this is it!

  • Well said Greeko1959! MSB was huge when I was growing up! In fact, MSB was the very first concert my friends all attended together in 1983 at The Front Row! I have since relocated to GA, but still have MSB on the iPod! :)

  • Michael Stanley was huge for us growing up in Cleveland. Clarence Clemmons and David Sanborne were known to show up in some of the songs. They hold almost all the attendance records back home. They once sold out 4 straight nights of 20,000 per night.

  • Greeko....we had sooo many cool people!

  • Lil' Wimpy sound. Flaccid cock rock.

  • speak for yerself, Limpy

  • Why the fuck isn't this ass-kicker more well-known? It's damn near perfect, and I've never even heard of the band.

  • Seriously good stuff, Maynard. Many thanks from a old X-Ohio boy.

  • Just soooo cool, thanx 4 posting!

  • The Lord uses the good ones and the bad ones use the Lord.

    So very true

  • @bugwitty Amen

  • @bugwitty Amen

  • @bugwitty This would be the Neocons.

  • @peterpun1 Umm no, many people hide behind religion for their own personal gain, greed and or perversions. God will use good people for a purpose, even if it not exactly what they really wanted. Hence , be careful what you wish for.

  • @bugwitty

    ditto

  • @bugwitty "The Lord uses the good ones and the bad ones use the Lord" or better yet, the Lord uses the good to do good in the world and the bad ones use the LORD to UNDO the good of the world.....

  • Widespread Panic's version is great as well.

  • the best on the northcoast

  • ONE OF THE BEST OF ALL TIMES ! there are some that are as good, but none thats better

  • A Classic Rock Balled For All Times...THANKSdownLOADS!
