I did see a sd5000.1 do over 5000watts but with normal box rise your daily system still should see around 3500watts or more but at 15v maybe even more like 4700watts
i have a sd16kd there very sensitive to current Ive overloaded my connectors with 2/0 x4 on the pos, and 4 2/0 grounds to keep it daily otherwise problems can occur and BTW this one clamps 16,760w
Cant really comment on it due to its performance because I have never seen it used of course, but I will say I have a 2900 rms Alphasonik competition amp that weighs around 20-25 lbs, its 26 inches long, 9 inches wide, and 2 5/8 inches thick.. so for that amp to be 13 inches long.. it certainly does seem quite small.. but with the technology nowadays.. who knows what they are capable of getting out of smaller amps now. @VVillyVVonka i talked to the owner and he gave me a list of thing of why people blow these amps alot and most of the people that blow them are competitors, and jose was giving me a list of guide lines to keep this amp running in tip top shape. now it makes since why people blow sd amps cause they dont know how to treat them the way they are suppose to be treated due to the higg\h power supply. when i get this amp running everybody will see and they will want it lol. if i dont i will be known.
i don't doubt that you can get 5k or more out of that amp but i don't think it will do that kind of power for long periods of time without getting hot. i've never had a sound digital amp so i couldn't say what it will or won't do but it's really small for 5k and that's y i think it will get hot.
@MrCadillacpat i know people who had sd5k and sd8k who said those amps dont get hot or anything unless they are running them @ low ohm loads. i don't understand why young cats these day run amps at low ohm loads to compensate for power when amps aren't meant to do the ohm load.what happen to ohms law does that even come in to play anymore. sd uses 240 fet which are the biggest fets out there in term the bigger amps uses 70/90 fets sd uses their fets for power supply thats why they are so small

... you can actually wire them to 0.5 nominal with no problem. Obviously you'll have a beefy electrical system running anything with Soundigital or Stetsom stamped on it.
Its possible, I mean chode is doing it but only on burps. You trying for mid 50's on music? If so, its gonna take more than that to get in the mid 150's on music, I mean look at my old setup in my blazer....4 18" IA DP's on 2 RD D9's, 3 alts, 6 XS D3100's, hittin 155's all day.

i don't doubt that you can get 5k or more out of that amp but i don't think it will do that kind of power for long periods of time without getting hot. i've never had a sound digital amp so i couldn't say what it will or won't do but it's really small for 5k and that's y i think it will get hot.
