  • WTFFFFF!!!

"I LOVE" this raw, post punk, teenage version. She is so young,

A very english attitute. This video remains me the times of three imaginary boys.

  • Hey she isn't a hippe far from it she a true Punk artist! Love Siouxsie Sioux <3

  • FUCK ARSEHOLES WHO DON"T LIKE HER and ESPECIALLY TO IDIOTS WHO SAY SHE IS OR WAS A HIPPIE YOU DON"T KNOW THE FUCK WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT FUCKING LITTLE BOY TURDS.

  • FUCKING HIPPIE

  • @ 1:32 Is that Prince Charles of Wales when he's still a teen?

  • she was years ahead,

  • @MrPhilroo123

she was a tambourine player FUCKING SHIT HIPPIE

compared to that german RAT nina hagen SHIT

  • Next to THE DAMMNED, SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES are the original Goth/Punk band. Cool story behind this song too: aparently the band stood up for some Chinese people (whose titular takeaway they were visiting) when said orientals were being attacked by skinhead wankers.

  • i wanna be like her TT__TT

  • video from the last era of real music. or is it?

  • @Afruscek Yes, sadly

  • at 0:17 theres a guy that kinda looks like Eric Foreman

  • Listen!!!!!! this happened cos NO-ONE else was doing it. she swore on tv, got her tits out for the camera. not socking now, but in 77/78 it was unheard of. without Siouxsie there is no Madonna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, cos she took attitude from the 70's, and drove it forward. COOL AS F$%? great band, great live. punk girls, siouxsie, ari up, lora logic, polystyrene, fay fife, debby h, honey bane, toyah - love you all!!!!!!!!!

  • @molly3ish Too true xxxxx

  • I love how this song is old. But it doesn't sound old at all! LOVE THEM

  • @SemiToneBlew That's because everyone's been ripping them off for years...The Sounds...

  • quite frankly brilliant !!

  • Feakin Brilliant!

  • Had the MADDEST chat with Kenny Morris, first drummer (here) with Souxsie at my gig the other night!!! He loved me stuff!!! Telling me a story about when Souxsie told David Bowie to fuck off lol legend. xxx

  • @TheSianBrown Tell the story about her saying that to David Bowie please.

  • @XxXRammsteinxRoXxXxX He said that David Bowie had this awful habit of calling to dressing rooms five minutes before the act was meant to go on. Kenny, Souxsie and the gang didn't want to see anyone that close to going onstage as they were psyching themselves up. So on this particular occasion David knocked on their door 5mins before they were meant to go on and Souxsie opened the door, shouted 'Fuck off David!' and slammed it back in his face. He said they met him at the after party & he was OK

  • awsome

  • Who is cooking?

  • Ah yes. bring back the pogo and the grapple! We don't need latin dance in the UK.

  • From Revolver show

  • 5 people listen to katy perry and are pissed becuase napalmenema is right....

  • Was this from Revolver tv show??

When ATV as was, actually made something non mainstream and original ??

Its true Television was better in the old days!!!!!

  • Yum Yum Bubble Gum

  • brilliant!

  • @mrdarklight

Im a teen now, 18, and I feel sorry for myself, the only thing I have is Youtube and some of my parents old dusty records. I tend to keep away from nowadays mainstream and 'chart' shows. 60's and 70's all the way :)

  • I feel sorry for the teens of today. In twenty years they won't have anything like this to look back on, their memories will be of trite shit that means nothing.

  • her dad died of alcoholism.

  • Siouxsie has some kick ass moves!!! :D

  • What a mega rebel ...i was just like her all those many years ago ...and i don't regret a minute of it ..brilliant

  • Siouxsie was the fantasy babe of my teens. The Scream was my first punk album, Changed my whole direction in music and ultimately, life. She was, and still is awesome.

  • We were that young in '78. Sigh.

  • Siouxsie Sioux I love you - well your musics anyhows thanks for the upload

  • The great Kenny Morris and John McGeoch. Yayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

  • holy bonkers soiuxsie's HOT! ...nice song too...

  • " I'd like a little chicken with my Hong Kong garden ! ;) "

Saw her in 93 /94 ? in Vancouver Canada great Show ! > except sit down and enjoy the show... venue though '~' !

  • Hong Kong... GARDEN!!

  • I like to see Girls wearing heavy eye liner, Debbie Harry used to wear eye liner like this. GREAT song by the way, i love punk!

  • Oh i do like punk

  • McKay and Morris "the deserters"....they looked cool though !!!

  • Bloody hell, this is quality footage as bab'gorgon says.

  • GIRL POWER

  • was there riots in London or were we naieve

  • Hey! what is this?? it cant be footage from anything later than 1982 so why does it look so good? is it recovered, cleaned up and composited with other footage? the spill of blue glow into the audience from band POV is the only thing giving it away. pls explain. if you arent responsible, pls say where you found this footage. thank you

  • @babyloniangorgon I'm guessing it was shot on film. Video just doesn't look like that. Though it was on British TV, back in the 70's, most TV shows were shot on film. This is likely a film to tape transfer. I'd like to more myself. I also agree with you, it looks great!

  • Why wasn't this song included in "The scream"? As for me, it's better than some songs from the first album.

  • HONG KONG GARDEN, THE GREATEST SONG EVER, I LOVED ELVIS BUT THIS SONG IS GREATETER THAN ANY ELVIS SONG. THE ULTIMATE SONG IN THE hISTORY OF MUSIC. END OF.

  • RAW and awesome I love it

  • What's with the people in the school uniforms in the front row?

  • @ 1:34 Very handsome dude!

  • McKay and Morris the best. Saw them at Manc Apollo when Morris and McKay left mid-tour after an argument :(

That's when Smith filled in because The Cure were supporting them and she got Budgie from the Slits..Superb. Music nowadays, pffffft!!

  • I can never get enough. She excites me like no other artist - female or male.

  • love the way this song was used in the recent boy george film "worried about the boy" at the start of the film, when george was heading out of the suburbs into the bright lights of london, with a manaquin underneath one arm. fab !!!

  • Real Music. This is Music Kids. DON'T BELIEVE WHAT SIMON COWELL Throws at you as being quality music. Plastic pop is destined for your next generation to look back at when we're gone.....!

  • omg, love this and at nearly 50 i can still pogo with the best awsome shit this go siouxsie.

  • the crowd is awesome! they have energy, but aren't beating each other up like in today's stupid mosh pits.

  • Recorded off the best music show of the 70's and Peter Cook was the presenter, you couldn't ask for more.

  • great

  • Best gig Woolwich, Kent circa 1979 ? -pre Mcdonald's yuck ! ( first in the country - mac's that is !!) Kebabs ruled then !!

  • thanks for posting this!

  • she is great and I remember when this came out- music was so cool when artists had more control of their sound and voice.

  • I agree. This is one of my You tube favourites. I saw Siouxsie about 6 years ago and she was amazing in concert. I love the very early punk/late disco retroness of this video. Also I really admire Sofia Coppola for including this song on The Marie Antoinette movie soundtrack. Sofia uses a great mix of 80's and classical music to showcase the 18th Century avant garde.

  • One of the best videos that I have watched on You tube - (I like the shots of what a 1978 punk audience actually looked like) rather than the 'Hollywood' versions where everyone is impossibly cool and have all the right moves.

  • @Egokingbass Yes.Well said. I saw The Banshees in '78...in the provinces. The audience was probably 5 percent punk style the rest were ordinary young people at the time. Up North you didn't see many punks even in '78 when it had spread.

  • maybe because i've only just seen it and i can't let a philistines comment about the greatest band ever to have graced the music industry go

  • Why are you replying to a comment posted 2 years ago? Lol

  • outstanding thankyou

  • Every second of this is absolutely fuckin priceless! The quality is amazing, this is vintage Banshees! This is The Banshees at their absolute best! Thank you so much for posting this.

  • and thats where my dancing moves got inspired from that and the chicken dance :) my fave song by them aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh this is cool.

  • i hate whatsitcalled my brain cells won't work,it's new years day, umm, sycophantic shite, but i love this band and omg sioux is probably the hottest betch in the world.

  • i dont like that theyre cookin meat at the end! why is it?

  • i LOVE her punk moves she really has talent not that bitch miley cyrus or rihanna whatever

  • @micositoo45

Hell yeah, this is punk right here! She's smoking hot and fully clothed, and cool at the same time, which is something that can't be replicated anymore apparently.

  • @bdmru1980 she use to walk around topless

  • @histatimaniples

    That's hot, I wish I could see.

  • @micositoo45 ewe gross...i hate them..Siouxsie is the Queen...

  • @micositoo45 Miley Cyrus and Siouxsie?:-) They're not even the same species.

  • Siouxsie and the banshees is one of the best!

    (and Sioxsie is hot)

  • extracandinary

  • God she was adorable back then, still is.

  • damn straight!

  • (L)

  • she shows shit like katie perry how its really done. An icon

  • @napalmenema1 People, PLEASE, stop mentioning Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cirus, or Lady Gaga everywhere!!! It's kind of sad actually, to run into those names all the time when watching great videos... just enjoy this great music and forget about the rest!!!

  • @jugazf

Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cirus, or Lady Gaga?

To be honest I know who Siouxsie is but not the ones you mention.

  • Talented, creative, and cute-what a combination! Take me back in time. I wanna be Siouxsie's boy friend!

  • Slap me for this if you want, but I think Siouxsie vaaaaaaaguely resembles Enya here. C'mon. Just a little?
