I still cant understand why dragstrips continue to have giant poles where the cars can hit them.Even my home track The Texas Motorplex has giant steel post 6' from the track.

The only other drag racing crash, that I can recall, that had as much damage to the car as this one is the Bruce Allen's when he crashed with Kenny Koretsky. This car is completely gone! Had to have hit a pole or a tree or something more solid than a guardrail to cause that much devestation. WOW!
