The amonut of mill fires that there has been in Glossop....strange isnt it...i mean im not accusing anyone of anything but lets see...hollingworth...whitfield­...wrens nest twice and i am sure there was another...but hey maybe mills catch fire hey and that the opportunities after the fire are just opportunities....lol.....

That fookin mill is sooo cursed, how many times has it set on fire now. I remember the frist time like what 8 years ago when half the building got knocked down becuz of the fire.

Hopefully they will do a proper job this time, instead of a half job with obviously not a care in the world for people safety. and also make the lux lux mill a higher standard.

Yes this whole thing is shocking.

I've just found out that the fireman in charge of the building fire safety and part of the enquiry has committed suicide yesterday. Gee that must be so sad for his family.

The pressure is clearly building up quickly as the police investigate reasons why. There needs to be a public or government enquiry about this. There are now two many question to be answered.

I send my sympathies' to the fireman's family.

Other facts

23 year old no mark charged with attempted murder of girlfriend and also arson with intent

to danger life .

Fire alrms and sprinkler systems were not working in the building until the fire service

enabled them .

7). The damage to the building was mainly the top two floors and is devastating .. almost

everything destroyed as the roof caved in from the top floor to the third ..This was fire

damage NOT water damage . Water damage caused mainly to floors 1 and 2 .

6) At around 7.30am the resident were woken and the building was evacuated again . From then onwards fire services were called to put the fire out again which then meant that the residents watched as the building burned . More fire tenders etc called from all over the place .

5) At around 6.15 am the next morning a security guard who worked in Tescos noticed there was some smoke still coming from the building and raised the alarm .

4). The residents were evacuated and the fire service called to put out the fire . The fire was put out and the residents were then allowed back in .

3) She was admitted to hospital and some time later she recieved a text from the no mark boyfriend telling her " He had just set fire to her flat!) .This was an obvious indication that this guy is not a fully paid up member of the intelligence corps ! .

Ignore that i've now heard (from a more reliable source) that a couple were having an arguement, the guy broke all of his GFs fingers so she went off to hospital, while she was there, he set the flat alight, and the rest is self-explaitory.

Nice vid m8, I was there from 10 onwards I got a few pictures, aparently it was started by some guy who wanted to kill his girlfriend by locking her in her own apartment and setting it alight.

Yes very sad, The building lives on thank god, pleased the see they saved it. If you watch on of the videos you can see something explode of the right hand side into the river. im not sure which video it is but its at the very end, watch the roof on the right.
