bjchit:I thought we were friends!?
vancedev:Fuck you stupid asshole.
bjchit:Can I suck your cock?
vancedev:Go suck Rex Grossman's cock, like you have for 4 years.
God, this is pathetic. Did Rex Grossman finish elementary school? I hope he never marries Miss Teen South Carolina from 2007, because God forbid they would likely reproduce together!
Grossman played well he is good but he is unfortuantely a turnover master so if he can prove to shanahan and the redskins fanbase in the next two games tht he wnt turn the ball ovr like he used to im willing to give him a shot next year but he is too old to be a long term solution

@Dr3aMz96InFLuENce I want strangle Grossman when I look at him. He causes too many damn turnovers. Do you think McNabb is done with the Skins and they will let him opt out of his contract?
The media is ignorant: During that Super Bowl season I guess they forgot before the weird MNF game vs the Cardinals (where Dennis Greene threw a tantrum) that Rex Grossman led the NFL in QB rating. He was NFC OFfensive Player of the Month September 2006. I blame the media for jumping on him for one bad game vs Arizona and since that game he has been up and down. The guy has the tools he just needs to calm down his decision making at times.

So Rex is starting while Donovan sits on the bench for the rest of the season. That's like the school telling a first grade teacher they can't be around the children, instead they'll have a convicted pedophile teach the children.

@bjchit I'm so sorry that I offended you and your boyfriend Rex Grossman, here let me try this again.Benching Donovan McNabb for Rex Grossman is like firing your babysitter who has been reliable for several years and replacing them with a serial rapist. There, that's better.
I should have figured that someone who, in the process of comparing two different QB's uses pedophila as an analogy, would be a meat head incapable of having an intelligent conversation. And would you look at that, all of your favorite videos are of sweaty meatheads. Tell me, if I were to preform brain surgery on you, would I have to use a rock drill to get through your thick skull? In one game Rex has thrown nearly a third of the touchdowns McNabb has thrown in 13.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@bjchit So Rex Grossman threw for 4 touchdowns against a last place team and with no pressure to win the game.I'm impressed,I'm sure you think that winning a preseason game is the exact same thing as winning the Superbowl. You really are not that educated are you?If wrestlers are meatheads, then so are football players, you have no intelligence.
Yeah, except for pride, a chance to sweep a divisonal opponent, and a chance to become a starter again. Other then that, no pressure. Oh man, how did you know? It's like you're in the room with me. Fucking idiot. If you're going to make assumtions about someone, at least wait until there's a base to lay that assumtion. The spacebar is your friend BTW. No, wrestlers are, by and large, steriod eating meatheads. There are a few who are smart, and some who can come across as not a slobering idiot.

@bjchit I can't believe you are actually wasting your time defending a guy who doesn't even know you exist, you are definitely having a productive life, stop being such a piece of shit and do something else other than this, anything else, but here we go I'll get another response from you trying to justify how wonderful your life is,ugh...you stink like shit, take a bath.
Really? Then why has he been over to my house? Boy, looks like I touched a nerve. What a bitch. Think you can give me a response that doesn't sound like a 12 year old wrote it for you?

@bjchit why was he over at your house? or should i see cardboard box underneath a bridge, were you two having your "drunken homeless pedophile convention?" ahaha! pwned!
Owned? By a 3rd grade remark? Please. Maybe I know him, because my dad was friends with his dad growing up, and he therefore, knows my dad. What an idiot.
bjchit:ummm ya ummm my second cousin's sister friend's aunt grew up with Rex's stepbrother who was married to his fourth cousin on my mother's side so that's how I know him.
vancedev:How do you know him?
bjchit:I bought a Rex Grossman poster masterbated while looking at it and then ejaculated all over his face.
vancedev:Wow you are such a loser, you really don't know him do you?
bjchit:Oh Rex Grossman I love you so much, our dad's know each other, let's suck each other's cocks!
Rex:Ok,but I'm buttfucking you first hardcore style.
bjchit:I'm such a gay loser with no self-respect,please treat me like the piece of shit that I am!
Rex:No problem loser.
bjchit and Rex Grossman buttfuck and 69 each other, then their dads walk in on them and they have a big gay ass 4 faggot orgy which ends with Rex and the 2 dads pissing and shitting all over bjchit.
bjchit's dad:bjchit we are so disappointed in you,you couldn't finish grade 4,you can't hold down a job at the McDonald's,you give 40 cent blowjobs to homeless niggers and now we find out that you're a Rex Grossman fan.
bjchit:Don't forget I created incest too!
bjchit's dad:Prove it! Fuck your mummy!
bjchit rapes his mom while she screams and cries, bjchit's dad pulls out his stinky small cock and masterbates.

So how often do you think of men sucking each other off? Do you have other deeply disturbing homoerotic fantsies you'd like to share like the fag that you are?
bjchit(on his hands and knees completely naked in front of his parents and friends on the front lawn on a Sunday afternoon at 2 pm):Oh Rex,put it in! Put your stinky 2 inch penis in my ass I want to bring so much shame and embarassment to my family!
Rex Grossman:Ok you horny stupid faggot. You're really ugly, but I'll fuck you because I like to fuck losers like me!
bjchit:Ohhhh yeah!! Now cum in my ass and give me a baby, fuck your baby up my ass!
bjchit:Oh ya Rex Grossman, let's make a sex tape for our dad's it'll be so nasty and disgusting and we will bring great shame and embarassment to our families!
Rex Grossman:We're so good at it,so your suggestion is valid and confirmed by my opinion.
bjchit:Oh Rex! Make me scream like a 12 year old whore surrounded by a bunch of niggers in a prison cell!
Rex:You got it bitch, now pull down your pants so I can see your 2 inch stinky cock.
But, football players have to memorize as many as 200 plays, game film, audibles, routes, blocking assignments, routes, running lanes, coverages, ect. They have to study constantly, and have to be sharp in order to succeed.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@bjchit Most of those football players you talk about are drug addicts and/or illiterate.I'm not talking about Manning or Brady, but most of these morons can't do anything else, but football, you give too much credit to those dipshits.
Grossman is a good QB and I agree with him. The Bears are not a team that likes to share melodrama with "journalists" or rumor spreaders & gossipers as I like to call them. It's also the reason the Bears every year are "underdogs" and don't get recognition or even half the dick sucking time Bret Favre gets. In fact Farve is the epitome of what a rumor spreader wants. An old fart that cries in post game conferences and can't decide whether to retire until after training camp every year.
Through it all Rex was always a standup classy guy. He could of easily blown up and gave it to the fans or media, but he just shutup and gave it 100% every sunday. I like him alot. I doubt it, but maybe one day in Washington he'll get a chance and make the most of it.

He's an average QB..as is the current Mcaskey's are still the problem, don't know how to run a Pro ball business..the 85 bears was luck.Lovely is an excellent D coach period. They aren't / haven't been Monsters in Decades...seat fillers they are... like Cub owners ,where's the emphasis on the 7' 400 lb offensive linemen ? a great utility back ? 1 premier reciever ? Brian U.. ? WTF Butkis like in his first years... just an over paid crippled/ injury prone empty threat ..I'm not a Bear
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Christ some fellow Bears fans are still weird about Rex Grossman . He was fucking mediocre, at best. Anyone care to remember him throwing away a super bowl that was actually winnable? I do. Anyone care to remember the number of just bed shitting games he had that season? I do. And no it wasn't all the O-Line. Yeah, some of Cutler's problems last year was a shitty O-Line, but the O-Line in 2006 wasn't shitty. They were 6th in the league in preventing sacks and had a solid avg. on runs.
Yea, the Bears defense not stopping a back up running back from burning them, or the Martyball play of the second half had nothing to do with it, It was all Rex. Or the number of games where he had a rating of over 100? The O-line is still bad. Shit, did you see how many QB's ended up on IR in 2007? And 2 weeks ago, how do you give up 10 sacks in a game?
@bjchit, I wasn't talking about this year or 2007. The O-Line in 2006 was not shit. In fact it was one of the better O-Line's in the league in 2006. It gave up the sixth fewest sacks and the team had a solid 4+ avg. per run.
And yeah he had games of 100+ ratings, he also had a number of really, really bad games. And sure there were other reasons we lost the SB, but he was the biggest. Two drive killing fumbles, two ints in a row at the end of a winnable game, one returned for a TD.
And he was the guy who took the Bears to the Super Bowl. And they haven't even made the playoffs since he was benched. I don't think that's a coincidence. No he wasn't. Peyton Manning had a less then stellar game too, and he was named MVP when it should have been Dhomenic Rhodes.
@bjchit--The one game he played he fumbled a snap(sound familiar?) and he threw interception. He's got a strong arm but he must have some small hands since he has serious trouble gripping the ball
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@SuperAl19 -What? Are you even remotely a Bears fan? Rex didn't get screwed, he was actually pretty bad. He had one excellent month at the start of the Super Bowl season. He was lights out for one month. When Arizona played us they had him all figured out. He was average or horrible the rest of the way. The guy has small hands and cannot handle the snap correctly as evidenced by his 2 fumbles in last weeks pre-season game and also his horrible showing for the Texans last year.
Yea he did. He was not average to horrible the rest of the way, or are you forgetting what he did the very next week after Arizona? He barely played at all in Houston, what did he even show?
@SuperAl19- Also, Jay Cutler is overrated. Everyone forgets that even though he threw for 4,000 yards his interception total was high and is touchdown total was pretty low for that amount of yards. Another fact, he was benched for a half by Mike Shanahan in his pro bowl season. How many times does that happen? He's arrogant and has a long way to go before he gets his first winning season since high school.
No kidding. Anytime ESPN shows anything of Rex, it's always the fumble or 2 INTs he had in the Super Bowl. Not the touchdown he threw, or the 4 touchdown games he had, or anything remotely positive.

After ALL the complete Quarterback BUSTS to come out of the University of Florida, who the hell looked at this guy and thought otherwise? That list is so long you'd need an hour to go through it.
This Super Bowl run by Chicago was brought about by two things: Stellar defense and Devin Hester giving Rex nothing but short fields to work with. His stats for that year (the best of his career by the way) are nothing past mediocre.
The game gets a lot easier on offense when you've got the top starting field position in the league. The fact that they RAN for almost 2 thousands yards that year goes a lot further than what RG did.
Rexy maintained a whopping 74 QB rating, failed to crack the top 10 in yardage and tossed 23 TD's to 20 INT's.
Yea, those 3 more yards per punt return and less then one more yard per kick was the difference maker between them making the Super Bowl and getting bounced in the second round. And he did crack the top ten in yards passing, while throwing for more td's then 20 other qbs. I'd say that was better than "medicore", dumbass. It was also his first year as a starter, and they went to the damn Super Bowl. Who else can say that?
I am always out the house after school with people but i saty in just to watch thye interviews 6 days per week and hearing the same shit over and over and i dont care

The Browns didn't even want Grossman as their 3rd string guy after da Bears cut kicked him to the curb!! If that doesn't convince you Bears fans that he was pathetic I have no fricking clue what will!!!!
Who'd you rather have as a QB - Cutler or Brady Quinn? Quinn may be in the unemployment line at season's end but that's not his fault. Cleveland's got an idiot for a head coach. At least your Bears & my Steelers do have something in common - we both have head coaches who are Ohio State alums or at least have been asst coaches at OSU. That's not a bad thing. I'm an OSU alum!!! I wouldn't mind having Lovie as OSU coach if he's driven outta Chicago. OSU fans already are calling for Tressel's head.
Waht? You prefer Quinn over Cutler? Well Quinn wants out of Cleveland b/c he wants to start somewhere. He's also constantly clashing w/his coach. Wherever he goes I wish him well even though I'm no fan of his alma mater. I don't think you guys need Quinn b/c Bears beat Steelers when they were unbeaten & Pitt broke Vikes unbeaten streak this yr. I'm sure Cutler had some to do w/that victory over the defending SB champs. If Bears surge to playoffs Lovie's job should be spared. Playoffs count.
Yea, who would with that crap organitzion known as the Browns? Cutler has proven nothing other then he's a punk. Why bring that up? Nobody mentioned Ben's personal life.
I only brought it up b/c Ben's getting the same scrutiny from the media that Rex got. The same criticism & negative publicity too. He deserves better from media. So I think that's something we both can agree on. The media has no respect for either. Add Brady Quinn in & that makes it 3. He ain't getting much respect from the media especially since he plays for those crappy Browns. We at Steeler Nation are sticking together to support Ben & we know what or who's against him is a load of crap!!!
No, they are reporting a claim that he raped someone, even though it is most likely false. That's reporting. Showing nothing but a guy's mistakes even though he through for 3000 yards and 23 td's is character assassination. I haven't been watching too much Sportscenter for that very reason, but it seems like they aren't going after Ben the same way they went after the Duke Lacrosse team. And I never said he was mediocre, just that he was in the Super Bowl. I stand behind Rex because I know him.
OK scratch all that negative crap I said!! What I'm trying to say is that I support my QB no matter what!! I'll proudly defend him when somebody calls him mediocre when he's not!! Ben may not be Brady, Manning or Favre but he's still a pretty dang QB in my book & I'm behind him 100%!! Rex ain't a Bear anymore & you're still behind him so this is where I proudly stand thank you very much!! Nothing mediocre about my QB!! He's a champion & his career stats show he's a winner!!
Well Mr. Articulate, after learning that his new coach was trying to get a career backup in a trade, he in turn demanded to be traded, then said a few days later that he never wanted to be traded. So that's why he's a punk. Now, think you can talk and spell like an adult in your response?
No, just that your inabilty to act like you were raised by good parents just shows no reason for me to talk to you. If anything I should be the one saying I touched a nerve. Who cusses out someone they've never even met?

IMAO I think Todd Marinovich (who really sucked in the NFL & is now in prison) was a better QB than Grossy. That's just beyond bad lol!!!! Maybe Grossy should take after Heath Shuler's example & go into politics!!! He's got no future in the NFL!!!! His stats are definitely unimpressive!!!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
No I'm a Steelers fan & damn proud of it!!! Your boy wouldn't even make my team's practice squad. I dare any of you Bears fans to post negative crap at a youtube blog on Big Ben who is 100 times the QB Grossy ever will be. Our fans outnumber yours by a longshot!!! At least Big Ben can win the big games & Sexy Rexy can't!!! So ha!! Take that bjshit!!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Nope I'm not danmarinohater2009. I don't know who that is. BTW try telling any other (diehard) Steelers fan that Big Ben was mediocre during both Super Bowls. You'll open a can of worms you wish you never dug into. You think Bears fans are on the defense when Grossman gets lambasted? HAHA!! You ain't see nothin' till you start badmouthin' Big Ben. He's the Holy Grail to 99.5% of all Steelers fans. To me I think Bears fans are divided even split on Grossman.
Right, cause being 9-21 and 2 ints in the Super Bowl is just lighting the world on fire. And outside of that last drive in the last Super Bowl, he was 16-23, for 172 yards, no touchdowns, and 1 interception. I'm not sure what his quarterback rating was at that time, but I bet it was in the low 60's. Like I said, mediocre. No, it's more like Bears fans 75-25 for Grossman, but unfortuanely, they got drowned out by the drunken loughts who show up to games just to get hammered.
I'm from Ohio & we have a ton of Steelers fans in my neck of the woods & not 1 has ever had any doubts about Big Ben. He's highly esteemed by Steeler fans. I don't buy this crap that he sexually assaulted that woman. She just wants his money. I'm sure there are Bear fans who wish Chicago drafted him before Steelers could even get their hands on him. Big Ben has the Pro Bowls to prove he's one of the NFL's best along w/Brady & Favre. Big Ben wasn't great but contributed major in those 2 SB wins.

didnt he have like 3 games with a qb rating of 4? o ya great fucking quarterback. the vikings are soooo the best team in nfc north i think we have a very small shot at superbowl to
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Half of the QBs in the NFL had better total yardage than your boy!!! Da Bears got lucky when they made it to the Super Bowl! BTW I think our 3rd string is a better QB than Grossy!!
thank you!!!!! he's a good QB, just the chicago media expected him to throw 4 tds every game. Eli Manning struggled at the start of his carer, and the Giants stuck with him, the bears didnt even keep him as a backup, if cutler goes down, our season is over
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
He didn't have to throw 4 TDs every game. We just didn't want him throwing passes to the opposition at such a consistent rate. Did you forget all his fumbles too? Seems you are still blinded by your man love for Rex. He posted a ZERO QB rating in a game. That's pathetic.
In a game that meant nothing, and also saw Greise sucking it up. What about all the turnovers that Orton or Greise had? Why not boo those? He also had 15 games of 80 or more QB rating. What's pathetic is the damn character assiasstion that people seem to have a hard on for this guy.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
No game means nothing. That's the first thing you need to know. Players have to be prepared for every game they play no matter what the circumstances. If you never played sports, then I understand your ignorance here. If you did, then your coaches in the past failed you. Secondly, I never mentioned Griese or Orton. We're talking about Rex and his problems. Rex's other problem was that he never tried to improve! He was satisfied with just being "Sexy Rexy" and didn't work hard at his job.
It was week 17, they had already secured the #1 seed and a first round in in the playoffs, what the hell could they have hoped to accomplish in that game? Most of the starters shouldn't have even been playing in that game. Griese didn't have a much better game, but you just go right ahead and casterate the guy who lead you to the Super Bowl. Yea I know, that's the problem with you jerks. It okay for them to suck for some reason. But as soon as Grossman throws an incompletion, the boo birds come.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
That still doesn't mean you come to the game unprepared. Rex even admitted he wasn't mentally prepared for the game. Funny, I've never heard Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Eli, or Brady say that. Heck, Jason Campbell would probably never say that. Also, you need to realize Rex is the reason the Bears lost the Superbowl. Did you forget we had the ball at about the 40 to start each possession? Rex could not get us any points with that great field position. Not to mention the picks and fumble
And Peyton Manning also gets pulled after he throws his 1 pass so he gets credit for the start in the last game of the year. Instead Lovie leaves him in there to get destroyed. Oh, it was Rex, not the D who couldn't stop Rohdes, or the nonexsistent running game? It was all Rex hun? Yea, Manning also had a fumble and a pick in that game, and he gets the MVP award for being medicore. It's hard to move the ball when your receviers have stone hands, it's pouring rain, and the running game just dies.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Do you mean the running game where the Bears got 111 yards on 19 carries? They averaged 5.8 yards per carry. Is that the non-existent running game you're speaking of? What about Rex's 2 picks, 1 fumbled lost, and another fumbled snap that he recovered. That's great QBing right there. You win games with performances like that.
Most of which came from a 52 yard run by Thomas Jones. Take that away (which the Colts did in the second half) and that's 3.7 YPA. That's borderline anemic. He had a qb rating of 120 going into halftime. The Bears inablity to stop the Colts soon enough never gave the offence time to get a rythem going, or time to score. You do realize of course, that he had worse perfomrance's then that, and they DID win? If your defense doesn't get a few 3 and outs, and your running game stalls, you don't win.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Oh what have we here?!! A loyalist from the Windy City who can't take the fact that this guy stunk when da Bears played Indy in the Super Bowl almost 2 yrs ago. You guys can't take the fact that this guy sucked & he shoulda been stripped of the starting QB job when he began to throw interception after interception. Worst passing efficiency for a starting QB in a Super Bowl!! Grossman was horrible!! I mean come on man!!!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
He threw more interceptions than Big Ben's backup who I think amassed more total yardage a game than Grossy that yr. So you beat my Steelers this yr - big deal!!! If Grossy was the QB Paolamalu & the entire steel Curtain D would sack his sorry carcass over & over again!! As a result Lovie would bench him for the rest of the game!! Let's see if you can beat us again if you make it to the Big Game which ain't gonna happen unless you guys pull a rabbit out your blowhole!!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'll pass on your request! I don't give a crap what you Gross-man (that's no typo either) loyalists have to say about his naysayers!!! Dude's still a bust!!!! His starting job was his to lose & he blew it out his arse!!!! End of story!!!!!
He knows some idiots will think he's calling them ignorant in general, like saying they're just stupid at life, when he's just saying they're ignorant of many of the schemes they're running on offense and how the system works, etc. He's right. These cheesedick reporters dont know shit.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Like Arnold said in "Running Man" - "I don't do requests!!!"
Grossman's the man?!! LOL!!!! NOT!!!! If you had Leftwich who was my Steelers backup QB when they won the Big Game maybe you wouldn't have choked so much!! Shit if you had Culpepper you woulda done better than you woulda w/Grossy as your QB!!! Guy's a dud!! Our #3 QB is better than him!!!

he's probably not gonna make the texans roster since he can't even beat out dan orlosvky (the quarterback who ran out of the back of his own end zone for a safety early in the first quarter, in what turned out to be the margin of victory for the Vikings). It seems like Rex can't beat out a junior college QB lllooolll

Name one florida quarterback who has been successful in the NFL??????
Danny Whuerfel, Steve Spurrier, Doug Johnson, Shane Matthews, Jesse Palmer, Ingle Martin, Gavin Dickey, Rex Grossman, and Chris Leak man do i have to go on???? naming all these pathetic gator QBs
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Cris Collinsworth is the only former Gator QB to be successful in the NFL but as a WR. He began his college career at QB though. Maybe those NFL teams that took a gamble on UF QBs who flopped shoulda made those guys into WRs like Cincy did Collinsworth. But it's not just UF's QBs who were busts, name the last former Gator, period, taken in the 1st rd to be successful in the NFL since Emmit Smith. Certainly not Jack Jackson, Ike Hilliard or Gerard Warren. Not too many standouts come up, eh?!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
yeah Florida did recruit him as a QB but he switched to WR just like Kansas's Meier. That's bc the Gators have an overrated pro factory, players who do well in college but never do well in the pros. That's the florida gators!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Don't know how long Collinsworth was QB at UF but he's in the record books for the one of the longest pass plays in Div I-A history. He heaved a 99 yd pass to Derrick Gaffney (Jabar's dad?) against Rice in 1977. Don't know how he woulda turned out as an NFL QB but he definitely was a standout at WR. He made it to several Pro-Bowls. That was a brilliant career move whenever he made that switch.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The Bears D held the Colts to 2 TD's...2! The highest scoring offense in the NFL held to 2 TD's. Yes they gave up a lot of yards, but yards don't win games, points do. Rex's pick 6 in the 4th, with the Bears only down by 5 points, sealed it for us. Not to mention then throwing another pick on his very next pass. BTW the Bears offense only scored 1 TD, the ST scored 10 points. That is why the Bears lost.
So it was Grossman's fault that the defense blew a 1st half lead that Hester and Grossman put up, gave up 31 first downs and over 450 yards of total offense to Peyton Manning and Indy's offense?
Want to run that by me one more time?
We had a lead of 14 to 6 near the end of the 1st half. If the defense plays ANY defense at all, Rex doesn't have to play catch up and would've never started tossing INTs. The defense is just as much to blame. Don't be an idiot.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
"If.... rex doesnt have to play catch up and woul've never started tossing INTs".
so, you're trying to defend grossman and at the same time you're saying that they lost because the defense made grossman play, and of course he blew it?
then you're saying that Rex is a good QB when he has a great defense and running game and doesn't have to throw at all. yeah youre right, my uncle also is a great QB that way
burn in hell.

They were 6th in the league in preventing sacks and had a solid avg. on runs.
jdlund 1 year ago
Yea, the Bears defense not stopping a back up running back from burning them, or the Martyball play of the second half had nothing to do with it, It was all Rex. Or the number of games where he had a rating of over 100? The O-line is still bad. Shit, did you see how many QB's ended up on IR in 2007? And 2 weeks ago, how do you give up 10 sacks in a game?
bjchit 1 year ago
@bjchit, I wasn't talking about this year or 2007. The O-Line in 2006 was not shit. In fact it was one of the better O-Line's in the league in 2006. It gave up the sixth fewest sacks and the team had a solid 4+ avg. per run.
And yeah he had games of 100+ ratings, he also had a number of really, really bad games. And sure there were other reasons we lost the SB, but he was the biggest. Two drive killing fumbles, two ints in a row at the end of a winnable game, one returned for a TD.
jdlund 1 year ago
And he was the guy who took the Bears to the Super Bowl. And they haven't even made the playoffs since he was benched. I don't think that's a coincidence. No he wasn't. Peyton Manning had a less then stellar game too, and he was named MVP when it should have been Dhomenic Rhodes.

The guy has small hands and cannot handle the snap correctly as evidenced by his 2 fumbles in last weeks pre-season game and also his horrible showing for the Texans last year.
xblackstallionx 1 year ago
Yea he did. He was not average to horrible the rest of the way, or are you forgetting what he did the very next week after Arizona? He barely played at all in Houston, what did he even show?
bjchit 1 year ago
@SuperAl19- Also, Jay Cutler is overrated. Everyone forgets that even though he threw for 4,000 yards his interception total was high and is touchdown total was pretty low for that amount of yards. Another fact, he was benched for a half by Mike Shanahan in his pro bowl season. How many times does that happen? He's arrogant and has a long way to go before he gets his first winning season since high school.

All the fools defending him can keep him.
Enjoy left field.
prod1gy3000 1 year ago

@bjchit
His best season as a pro. Stellar.
prod1gy3000 1 year ago
Yea, those 3 more yards per punt return and less then one more yard per kick was the difference maker between them making the Super Bowl and getting bounced in the second round. And he did crack the top ten in yards passing, while throwing for more td's then 20 other qbs. I'd say that was better than "medicore", dumbass. It was also his first year as a starter, and they went to the damn Super Bowl. Who else can say that?

Who'd you rather have as a QB - Cutler or Brady Quinn? Quinn may be in the unemployment line at season's end but that's not his fault. Cleveland's got an idiot for a head coach. At least your Bears & my Steelers do have something in common - we both have head coaches who are Ohio State alums or at least have been asst coaches at OSU. That's not a bad thing. I'm an OSU alum!!! I wouldn't mind having Lovie as OSU coach if he's driven outta Chicago. OSU fans already are calling for Tressel's head.
bucky468 2 years ago
Quinn. Well trust me, it shows. And Lovie may not make it out this year.
bjchit 2 years ago
Playoffs count.
bucky468 2 years ago
Yea, who would with that crap organitzion known as the Browns? Cutler has proven nothing other then he's a punk. Why bring that up? Nobody mentioned Ben's personal life.
bjchit 2 years ago
I only brought it up b/c Ben's getting the same scrutiny from the media that Rex got. The same criticism & negative publicity too. He deserves better from media. So I think that's something we both can agree on. The media has no respect for either. Add Brady Quinn in & that makes it 3. He ain't getting much respect from the media especially since he plays for those crappy Browns. We at Steeler Nation are sticking together to support Ben & we know what or who's against him is a load of crap!!!
bucky468 2 years ago
No, they are reporting a claim that he raped someone, even though it is most likely false. That's reporting. Showing nothing but a guy's mistakes even though he through for 3000 yards and 23 td's is character assassination. I haven't been watching too much Sportscenter for that very reason, but it seems like they aren't going after Ben the same way they went after the Duke Lacrosse team. And I never said he was mediocre, just that he was in the Super Bowl. I stand behind Rex because I know him.
bjchit 2 years ago
OK scratch all that negative crap I said!! What I'm trying to say is that I support my QB no matter what!! I'll proudly defend him when somebody calls him mediocre when he's not!! Ben may not be Brady, Manning or Favre but he's still a pretty dang QB in my book & I'm behind him 100%!! Rex ain't a Bear anymore & you're still behind him so this is where I proudly stand thank you very much!! Nothing mediocre about my QB!! He's a champion & his career stats show he's a winner!!

He's the Holy Grail to 99.5% of all Steelers fans. To me I think Bears fans are divided even split on Grossman.
bucky468 2 years ago

He didn't have to throw 4 TDs every game. We just didn't want him throwing passes to the opposition at such a consistent rate. Did you forget all his fumbles too? Seems you are still blinded by your man love for Rex. He posted a ZERO QB rating in a game. That's pathetic.
Jett21 2 years ago
In a game that meant nothing, and also saw Greise sucking it up. What about all the turnovers that Orton or Greise had? Why not boo those? He also had 15 games of 80 or more QB rating. What's pathetic is the damn character assiasstion that people seem to have a hard on for this guy.

Jett21 2 years ago
It was week 17, they had already secured the #1 seed and a first round in in the playoffs, what the hell could they have hoped to accomplish in that game? Most of the starters shouldn't have even been playing in that game. Griese didn't have a much better game, but you just go right ahead and casterate the guy who lead you to the Super Bowl. Yea I know, that's the problem with you jerks. It okay for them to suck for some reason. But as soon as Grossman throws an incompletion, the boo birds come.

Jett21 2 years ago
And Peyton Manning also gets pulled after he throws his 1 pass so he gets credit for the start in the last game of the year. Instead Lovie leaves him in there to get destroyed. Oh, it was Rex, not the D who couldn't stop Rohdes, or the nonexsistent running game? It was all Rex hun? Yea, Manning also had a fumble and a pick in that game, and he gets the MVP award for being medicore. It's hard to move the ball when your receviers have stone hands, it's pouring rain, and the running game just dies.

Jett21 2 years ago
Most of which came from a 52 yard run by Thomas Jones. Take that away (which the Colts did in the second half) and that's 3.7 YPA. That's borderline anemic. He had a qb rating of 120 going into halftime. The Bears inablity to stop the Colts soon enough never gave the offence time to get a rythem going, or time to score. You do realize of course, that he had worse perfomrance's then that, and they DID win? If your defense doesn't get a few 3 and outs, and your running game stalls, you don't win.
bjchit 2 years ago 2
And he did try to improve. But how the hell do you hope to expect to win in that kind of enviroment?

Oh what have we here?!! A loyalist from the Windy City who can't take the fact that this guy stunk when da Bears played Indy in the Super Bowl almost 2 yrs ago. You guys can't take the fact that this guy sucked & he shoulda been stripped of the starting QB job when he began to throw interception after interception. Worst passing efficiency for a starting QB in a Super Bowl!! Grossman was horrible!! I mean come on man!!!!!

He knows some idiots will think he's calling them ignorant in general, like saying they're just stupid at life, when he's just saying they're ignorant of many of the schemes they're running on offense and how the system works, etc. He's right. These cheesedick reporters dont know shit.

Whoever said that Grossman isn't a bust must be on crack. Grossman's a major bust in the NFL. Nobody is worse, not even Ken Dorsey the Browns' 3rd stringer. Grossman flopped! End of story!!!

he's probably not gonna make the texans roster since he can't even beat out dan orlosvky (the quarterback who ran out of the back of his own end zone for a safety early in the first quarter, in what turned out to be the margin of victory for the Vikings). It seems like Rex can't beat out a junior college QB lllooolll

Not too many standouts come up, eh?!

yeah Florida did recruit him as a QB but he switched to WR just like Kansas's Meier. That's bc the Gators have an overrated pro factory, players who do well in college but never do well in the pros. That's the florida gators!!!

Runforestrun 2 years ago
2nd half of that super bowl ehhhhhh

The Bears D also gave up 3 field goals and couldn't stop a guy who got cut a month later. And, their running game was pathitic.

the on;y reason why the bears lost the superbowl is because of fuckin grossman.
xxemcmahon13 2 years ago
So it was Grossman's fault that the defense blew a 1st half lead that Hester and Grossman put up, gave up 31 first downs and over 450 yards of total offense to Peyton Manning and Indy's offense?
Want to run that by me one more time?
We had a lead of 14 to 6 near the end of the 1st half. If the defense plays ANY defense at all, Rex doesn't have to play catch up and would've never started tossing INTs. The defense is just as much to blame. Don't be an idiot.

"If.... rex doesnt have to play catch up and woul've never started tossing INTs".
so, you're trying to defend grossman and at the same time you're saying that they lost because the defense made grossman play, and of course he blew it?
then you're saying that Rex is a good QB when he has a great defense and running game and doesn't have to throw at all. yeah youre right, my uncle also is a great QB that way
