The Republican tried to put forth Colon Bowel, for he is more black than Barry Soetoro an Indonisan. If Ron Paul is not running, I'll vote for Alan Keyes a real black man for the President election if he is running. Alan Keyes is right about Obama that he is not what he claims.
The Republican party was formed out of the anti slavery movement. It was the southern democrats who wanted to keep slavery around, and the Democrat party is the only party to have had members from the KKK serve in it.
I thought the video was hilarious. I dont believe the title "Republicans React Openly to Race and Obama" has anything to do with the clip but it was funny.
You know i'm just gonna say your somewhat right, but somewhat wrong. As a conservative independent i think the Republican party is not racist itself, just some members. Every party is gonna have racists, i dare say even the democrats have a few (at least closet ones, especially in Washington) they way i see it as their are Racists who happen to be Republicans, does that mean all of them are racists, HECK NO,
Southern Democrats couldn't stand being Democrats any more after Truman, JFK and LBJ pushed for civil rights. So they migrated into the GOP, where blacks are ignored rather than despised.
Hi santanaramostarango, M.S. Steele is apparent to anyone with a passing interest in American politics. It will not serve your analysis to reflexively believe that people who hold views other than your own are ill informed.
Perhaps it will help your analytic detachment to study the history of racism of a country other than your own, maybe S. Africa, Tanzania or Indonesia. In these instances it should be relatively obvious to you that the associated conservatives in each country were interested in maintaining extremely repressive racist laws to help preserve their power and wealth.
It is a harder journey to undertake the same detached analysis of ones own country, but you may find the destination worth pursuing.
@santanaramostarango Yeah? And our money is green. The color green doesn't seem to have any inherent value, either.
That said, Michael Steele was the Republican answer to Obama, as a so-called moderate Republican black man and was only picked, however, because Obama was picked with such vigor. You have to understand that Republicans are tacticians, only. That's it. They don't run to govern well, they run to win. At that particular time, they only cared about appearing to apply to minorities.
@santanaramostarango Also, I'm sure if they would've thought a little more about it, they would've picked Juan Williams as the face of their party, so they can have the benefit of a black man with a Hispanic first name. Two birds with one stone, for them. Sorry, but Republicans from the Tea Party (it's not a moderate movement, it's their base (a bunch of fringe conservatives, neocons but worse) to establishment, country-club Republicans,- it hasn't been about the content of character (post-60s)
@santanaramostarango They look at man like Obama and call him socialist (only because the N-word isn't fashionable in public), and they try to deny him legitimacy at every turn. Screw the country and what's best for their constituencies (who are misinformed by conservative media, anyway). Their taxes aren't high, but they believe that. They think somebody's coming to take their guns & religion. They think Death Panels arise from "Obamacare", which is funny because insurers HAVE those panels.
@santanaramostarango No, Republicans only use blacks to validate their points and arguments. Look at Fox News any time they have something racist against minorities that they wish to dismiss, they bring on some conservative black shill to prop up their BS. Anyway, back to Steele. I've never seen Republicans so eager to throw a man overboard for 2 years - so much for falling in line, all the time. Not that he's to be trusted, but note they're sending donations elsewhere to guys like Karl Rove.
@santanaramostarango Never saw this happen to Gillespie or Mehlman, and they weren't that great. Oh well, Steele has had major gaffes and direct controversies that have put the GOPs shortcomings to light (not like it affected them, though).
I see there is some interesting thoughts from all of your post,But I think most of you guys are coming up a little short yes Abe freed the slave or did he?i don't think that was his intention but it kinda happened and then he owned it. Remember he did not want Free slaves to fight for there right to freedom! But this fight was to keep the Union whole and that was the real cause ,however times changed and the 60s was about Equality and Justice for all not the few,But Class as well and competition
times were changing and the republicans were looking at a diciplinc bunch of people and instead of embracing them they pushed back for fear of losing the crumbs that the Elite were handing down to them and then comes along a Dem, who started listing and made some crucial decision and walla the party grew by a few million people and although the republicans have been successful at winning election they never got over that major moment and the party keeps shrinking as the country keeps changing.
As a side note Joe Wilson is a Kernel in the United States Reserve Unit and he Heckled the Commander and Chief So as a Marine he should be disciplined to the full measure of the Law DISCHARED.
Woah...holy angry little person. Let me remind me the beauty of the internet..you know NOTHING about me, and you were wrong on every assumption you did make. The little town I live in...this was the exact reaction a lot of folks made. THATS what I was talking about, Mr. Crazy.
Hi boilers2010, Could you be more specific? I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I'll modify the description if you have a clearly correct, reasoned suggestion. Cheers.
What I was getting at was the fact that you had just gotten on someone's case about making uneducated comments, when you yourself have uneducated generalizations about American conservatives. What the true definition of "conservative" is: (ok maybe not a MW definition, but the general idea) to not rush political change (here's the important part) just in case it does not work. Conservatives generally would like to have slow, steady change instead of rapid, unpredictable change.
Thats not to say that liberals or conservatives are right or wrong. It all depends on a person's beliefs. Some people are more willing to try new, higher risk political moves than others.
Regardless of what you have said in your description, I am giving you the definition of conservative/liberal (no offense intended at all, just an informative tone) that is currently being taught in our high schools and universities. It is a confusing subject that takes time to understand, and I...
have also had trouble mastering the subject. I guess that what happens when you try to clump the opinions of so many different people into two seperate groups.
I put your coherent, sensible response in the vid description. (There is an interesting flavor of stability analysis in your comments.) I see you have not made any vids yourself, other than sports... Kindly take the time to make a few. I'm guessing any subject you've thought deeply about would be worth the effort. Big Ups.
I would like to take the time to congratulate you for being WAY above other "youtubers" in maturity level. I think that a person who values others opinions should deserve to have value to their opinions also. (can you tell i'm not a linguist?)
But again, thank you for your consideration of others opinions. I hold people like you in very high regard.
I will make a video for youtube when I have a large enough topic to debate. Maybe you would like to consider a series of debates via youtube?
Hi, its hard to know where to begin with this. As is typical with my conservative friends, this note is hyperbolic, imprecise, and not rigorous. Whether all conservatives are racist is, of course, not the issue raised here. Thus the notion that this comedy piece is a lie is a non sequitur. Also, the confused dividing of positions into conservatives and Democrats is simply inaccurate. As for shame, if so called conservatives are not ashamed a this point in history really, what would it take?
Hello any brains in there. If it were not for Republicans black people would still be slaves. If it were not for Republicans (Abraham Lincoln) black people would not have the right to vote. The democrat party started the KKK. The Governor of Alabama in the sixties stated that no black person could go to school with white people. The democrat party has always and ever shall be the party of hate and Racism. The blacks who vote for them and serve in their party are a disgrace to their race.
hal turner and all those guys are republicans now a lot of the dem party changed to republican remember when condaleeza rice swithced from dem to republican because the dems were responsible for church bombings those same dems are now republicans. i dont think sean hannity and hal turner rupert murdock are less racist than keith olberman john stewart steve colbert and rachel maddow do you mccain/palin had pumped up a lot of southern racist clintons dumbass didnt
Again, a conservative Republican starts with a hyperbolic comment: all too typical.
The history of political parties in the US is well known and full of racism. Republicans don't get eternal absolution due to the liberal Lincoln.
But I want to point out what I think Freud would have noticed: you spelled Republican Party and kkk correctly and capitalized both, while you didn't do so when typing Democratic Party. They clearly reveal your (perhaps subconscious) allegiances.
Typical libtard idiot such as yourself. I did not capitalized democrat party on purpose. They deserve less respect than any organization in the world. They created the kkk, they created racism, meaning they practice it, they created slavery in this country. Admit it, you say the n word every time a black person crosses your path. You racist bastard!
Hi Trenaway, Slavery and racism in North America (obviously) existed long before the United States existed, or any of its evolved political entities. Do you have any logical, coherent, and historically accurate things to add? Why not reply with your vid of your accurate contemplative historical research? Cheers.
Since you can not read my words and like a typical libtard misconstrue them; I will make it simple for you. The democrat party brought black people over here from Africa. They created the kkk in hope that it would empower them over black people who had been recently freed, by the Republican Party. I did not say they created slavery in the world, BUT here in America, which they did. I know that today, history is not taught correctly. So listen and you might learn something.
Hi Trenway, I think "libtard" is a more creative and amusing insult than "brainless". But I see from google it is not really novel. Novel and amusing is more difficult.
I would ask again: why don't you make a video of your historically accurate and contemplative research on slavery? I believe this would be a worthwhile effort. Please consider it. Cheers.
The Republican tried to put forth Colon Bowel, for he is more black than Barry Soetoro an Indonisan. If Ron Paul is not running, I'll vote for Alan Keyes a real black man for the President election if he is running. Alan Keyes is right about Obama that he is not what he claims.
