need to keep the left hand thumb down, it gives away the illusion, since the thumb on your right hand is gripping the rod. just grip the cloth with your thumb and first finger on the left side too.
The candle base is magnetic. You can hear/see the base snap to the table when he sets it on top. There is a fishing line attached to the candle and someone above (outside the camera frame) pulling the table up. However, there are those out there who can pull this off without the use of the candle.
@kimmehea11 there is a rod under the table that is pulled down when the cloth is applied, the candle is done with a strong magnet and metal on table, there is no need for another to help, the table is not what it appears, it is made from very very light weight material, and is moved with the rod that is being held with his right hand. look at how the right is gripping the cloth yet the left thumb is sticking up and out, in this case it ruins the illusion, he should keep that thumb down too.
