I remember this thing was like 400 dollars or something and I actually wanted one even though I had a genesis.. THANK GOD I NEVER DID cause Turbografx died really quickly.
@Equint77 Yeah, and poser-like attitudes such as yours killed it. Hope you enjoyed the Genesis bandwagon while it lasted. Me, I enjoyed my TG-16 all the way through my acquisition of a PS1.

Man, there's really no reason to buy one of these things anymore. You can play every noteworthy game on Nintendo Wii, or play them on emulation for free on PC. And nobody care about portable TV's anymore. What the hell is on regular TV anymore??? Nothing!
Boy, I know in my heart of hearts, if I had had one of those back in the day instead of an Atari Lynx, I woulda sh-- myself. But c'mon, look at that TV tuner! It looks like the system has a huge goiter on itself!
that thing was cool. Played TG-16 games instead of hand held games like the "others" and had the TV Tuner like Game Gear. I wanted one! BTW in the movie "Enemy of the State" a Turbo Express makes a huge appearance by the main characters. They use it like some hacker PDA thing to show how the bad guys are seeing them with satellite's or whatever. I kinda forget but it's clearly a Turbo Express in the movie!
My god how that little bastard would eat up the batteries though. I think it took 6AA batteries? It would only last, like, four hours... which sucked. All else was awesome about this little unit.
yeah i was just thinking that. it's too bad, because it was awesome to watch tv on that thing way back in the day when my parents made me go to bed i'd watch tv all night and they never knew lol
it did have an input for cable but it essentially makes it a small monitor and not portable at all
yes the turbo express is really powerfull enough with his 256 color images and digital sound you can aspect good picture&sound .also the snes should can do that with his 256 colors and cd quality sound. ,m cinvinst!!!!it,s rocks

It's going to be completely useless when TV switches to digital-only, so probably not much.
