Each has its own sound, one that will most likely never be similar to anything else, even though future wannabes might import their style. the fact that Coldplay probably wouldn't exist without Radiohead makes it hard not to compare them.

Chris Martin even said himself that he tried to sing like Thom ever since he was young. Unfortunately for him, he will never be as good as Thom. They will be compared for as long as Chris Martin decides to copy Thom Yorke. It's one thing to be influenced by a band, but trying to be them is lame... Radiohead concerts are way better than Coldplay concerts
