As far as riding side by side, Dad and I would go kinda hard, Bring it down a notch or 2 for side by side, but Loved it man, those were the best Dad and I side by side hittin it, the best through there, done it many times, cheers
The hand signs, or "fingers", are used by groups of riders to tell them what formation to ride in (side by side, staggered, single file) as well as if there are any hazzards coming up to be aware of, when to stop.
The guys in the back can't see the guys in the front so the signs are passed along to keep everyone safe.
