You should ditch the AKSU. They are mostly just used by pilots and tank commanders. Get an AKS74 with black or plum furniture.

I was thinking about getting a ushanka (already have actually), trench coat, maybe bdu pants (Give it kind of a classic look and cheap), and maybe just a simple chest rig. I thought that would be a pretty cheap way of doing it.

What makes this Russian? I've seen pictures of some Russian soldiers, and they are wearing what appear to be woodland BDU's. Another thing, I dont know if you are going for more of a spec ops look, or just a regular soldier look, but if you're going for the reg, you need their newer type of Kevlar helmet.

@BasterdAirsoft Well the name obviously makes it's russian. There are tons upon tons of different camo patterns in use by the Russian military. This one in particular is used by Russian Airborne. Russian Airborne wear boonies or patrol caps.

@BasterdAirsoft They wouldn't wear a patrol cap or boonie while they are jumping. They have a special jump cap for that. But they don't necessarily always jump. The Russian Military has helicopters as well which they use much to their advantage.

I'm about to order gear for a Soviet Afghan-era VDV loadout. It consists of:

A Mabuta

Kepi hat

Soviet belt

Chicom AK chest rig

VDV Boots

Telnyashka undershirt

And my current weapon is a Dboys AK74 but I'm gonna get an RPK74

a chicom vest would work, however its not exactly russian, and it is a bit barbaric.
