What do you use to disturb the laminar flow to create the effect?

Use a solenoid to make a "hit" on the top :)

on this test I did just give it a Tap with my hand ;)

But you can use a solenoid to "shake" it , and then it would be a wave..

Its a great way to not add any cutter..

I dont make it travel ;)

it`s the optical effect in the water that make it follow the water flow..

And when I make a wave, the light follow the wave untill it ends :-)
