where is the match?! why not follow the original story? In this rendering you did not explain why her father sent girl out. Besides, the crude reality Andersen portrayed was distorted to fit religious fantasy! The fact is: there are many many children (adults too!) like this girl in the world of plenty today, over 150 years after the story was first published. This is very real today and can not be simply prayed away. Imagine ourselves in the situation of the little match seller...

@gnehzeey Well i could not find a match to use for this movie, I am not a programer and could not make one myself. As for the original story, the version i have dates back considerably and never mentions a "father", in fact i wrote that in as part of the "Adaptation". The crude reality as you put it, was my family was dealing with many losses, including myself being bed ridden for years with only the strength to make it to the computer to do this work. good question, if you watch I tried to show her begging. also, the only reason she isnt selling matches is, I couldnt find any. even if she had matches why would anyone throw a child out? the point of the story isnt where she came from but where she is now.

i used the sims 2, with windows movie maker to edit. i wouldnt recomend using WMM for long; at the end of my editing the program became buggy, and hardly works anymore. soon ill be using sony vegas 9.0.

yes, she did sell matches and yes it was on new years eve. this movie came from me writing a christmas play for my mothers sunday school kids. they were not able to use it, so i decided to try my hand at making movies.

Thanks so much, this was my first movie. Filming with a child as the focus is very difficult as most hacks or animations do not apply to children in the game.
