About as real as Y2K and that Saturn will ram into us in the year 2003... The Mayans never predicted the end of the world in 2012, and a Guatemalan priest and expert on Maya culture even said that the theory itself was ridiculous... So, yeah, I admit I'm a bit disappointed. And the "poetry" sorta sucked too. <_<
