RUSE is very fun its definitly a step above most WWII RTS games in tactics and strategy play. VS just games that focus on tech tech tech - this game i find is more about situational strategy and making fast ingame ajustments with the proper counter units.

paratrooper diversions are bad for morale

you're supposed to drop them in other ways, including 'not in the battle', or 'as suicide troopers'

when i did a drop it wasn't near the lines, it was to seize a launcher

ok if you are wacthing this and think, well this is a good stratergy one of three things will happen,

1) the enemy will mow you down upon landinging, because they will most likely have built tanks, or you paratroopers get shot down by AA guns

2) they see your airfield, because they will notice the building truck, capture it, then you just gave them a free airfield..

3) you will win, which is pointless becasue the game will last 2minuites, you will have no fun in it and get no x.p at all

the best strategy for paratroopers would be to drop them behind your enemy to split up their forces, then on the front mass up tanks and artillery and just sweep in and kick ass

Lol today, my first ever ranked game, a guy tried that on me, buy i was good to assume to build a airfield first to do the same thing, then i saw built it first and i saw planes leave his base, i knew they were paratroopers, so i built a lot of fighter planes. I denied his first attack. Then he sent fighter planes to counter my fighter planes, but he sent his fighter planes 1 by 1. He surrendered at the end lol.

Is this strategy really working? I mean if my paratroopers take the enemy's headquarters the enemy will easily take it back (if he has infantry) after he destroyed my paratroopers with his units. Has someone tried it out and can answer me?

what I've used and seen used is more of an all in where you build an air port and go mass paratroopers and send them directly tot he enemy base with blitz. it can do damage but rarely works if the opponent sees it so radio silence is also a must jsut as camouflage.

Hitler was also incredibaly smart, but did not know how to use his mind power properly. Many of the German commanders were also very smart, but again went mad with power and then they failed.
