i don't understand the point of wahs with built in effects. if you REALLY want a good tonal variety on your wah get a tone control pedal and run it from guitar to tone to wah to amp. and maybe a distortion/fuzz/boost too. you can get a wayyyyyy higher variety of much better sounds that way. or maybe a sustain pedal. dunlops good with wah but not with distortion but Big muff is. big muff isn't good at sustain pedals, but philosopher is. don't depend on one company for everything.
@thedeem0N If you look in the album booklet it says: "All sounds created by drums, bass, guitar and vocals".
Also, if you watch him live he imitates the studio sounds almost exactly in some instances. I know what you mean, though. The solo literally just sounds like record scratching!
If you set it to a range in the mids (position 2 or 3) can you go from a low mushy sound to a screaming leads sound without moving the knob? Kind of like the standard Crybaby?
@ty2drew As you go up the positions (1->6) it progressively gets a bassier wah sound. So in position 2 and 3 it is a good balanced wah but still more mid range. Going from low mushy to screaming leads also kind of depends on the distortion you are using, but yah position 3 I think is better for that. I haven't played with the standard Crybaby so i wouldn't know exactly.
@ty2drew Yeah its locked on there pretty well. It has a small screw in there and if it fell off im sure i could just dig out the screw and buy another one.
@ty2drew - I own this pedal and it's built like a tank. The "selection knob" is pretty beefy. Dunlop fixed all the "old wah" circuitry problems when they designed this one, plus a beefier/dust-proof potentiometer, better jack inputs, and the pedal "On-Off" switch is designed for at least 500,000 cycles. That's a lot of "wahs"!

he means that "The tone knob really changes the Dynamics of the Wah Pedal's effect on the guitar's tone"

I have a request! Do you think you could cover Bulls On Parade in the Tom Morello setting? (on the same pedal)
ty2drew 1 year ago
@ty2drew Yeah I can deffly try and learn that. I guess give me like a week and a half to learn and record it. I like the song tho.

@ty2drew Tom Morello probably couldn't do it...some of that is Song is Studio Effects

Is the range dial (the big shiny knob) durable? Like will it fall off or get offset if hit? This happened to my whammy pedal...
