This is my favorite contortion act ever! Its just way more fast paced and exciting then most contortion acts which are usually slow. Plus these girls are so young!
Cirque du Soliel is amazing-- When I went to Disney World with my choir, I spent all of the time we had at Downtown Disney attending the Cirque du Soliel show.
It's not just the fact they're like super flexible its crazy how fast they move along with a spinning plat form like wtf!? They are the 2nd best contortionists I have ever seen.
holy shit, id snap all my shit up if i tryed any of this lol goddamn. amazing! like human snakes. if you were to hire a group of people to go through lazers to obtain a secret artifact. hire these girls! lol
I love this contortion performance most out of all Cirque du Soleil contortions I've seen. It's not like the showing-off, move and pose thing that always happens (from what I've seen, granted). There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, it takes amazing talent that I will never have. But this one... it moves. This performance is a dance, not a just a show. I think that's why I keep looking this up.
And it's probably why I cry whenever I see it too.
not only do i like watching contortionists. i also want to BE one (and besides, i wanna know what that feels like). i really need to stretch some more. i'll start with my back, then my right split and straddle split. i already got my left split.
@xxJodelleFerlandxx Not actually :) contortionists tend not to get too many back problems. The stretching and spacing between the vertebae, along with the the continual motion and use, keeps a lot of the problematic acids and crystals in the spine away. Not to mention, flexibility and range of motion are tests doctors regularly use to guage muscle and tendon suppleness.
@amongsttrees I'm a rhythmic gymnast, and rhythmic gymnastics requires lots of stretching and flexibility, and I know a few people - one of them who was on the junior national team last year - who had to quit because of back problems. Then there's Jana Berezko or Germany, who missed the world cup because of back problems. So if RG causes back problems, so does contortion. They may not feel it now, but they will when they're fifty.
@xxJodelleFerlandxx Ohh certainly, I don't doubt that its possible. They are people too, even as spectacularly non-human this display is. But yoga is not terribly different, and that is one of the healthiest practices around. Maybe it's competition that forces flexibility too far too fast. Contortion is an exercise, and should be undertaken with the same care. And if you don't maintain that flexibility, or ease off it, that may have consequences too.
@xxJodelleFerlandxx Jana Berezko- Marggrander has an back INJURY and injuries can happen on every part of the body and in every sport. Some soccer players may injure their feet because they need them a lot and in RG you need your back a lot so there's a higher risk of hurting you back.
@chocolatefan1711 My point was that back problems/injuries can be caused by contortion, and I was using RG as an example. Yes, Jana has a back injury. Yana Lukonina is retiring because of ongoing injuries and problems (she has used both words) with her back. Please read the entire conversation before you go freaking out at me.
@xxJodelleFerlandxx If you think I freaked out you got me wrong. Of course I know that contortion can cause injuries and problems. I just wanted to say that there's no certainty that you get back problems later on. I think that there are many people who are just naturally very flexible. ;)
@chocolatefan1711 There have been a number of studies done on this. Muscle, joint, and back problems of gymnasts and contortionists (and any athlete) later in life are similar to those experienced by sufferers of post-polio syndrome. And that's if they're lucky. Anyway, I'm done arguing about it.
this was one of the most amazing contortion acts i've ever seen; did u see the freaky ending? like some shit outta a horror film...she spider walked like nothing ever witnessed on this side of norm.
I've always been so fascinated by these acrobats, i'm a former bodybuilder and I know what strength and condition is. And I tell you, these acrobats are the strongest ppl in the world! Alot of people can bench 300lbs 15 reps, but can you do an one armed pullup?
i know the name of this song and i know its in kooza album but the junoon thats in album was not this edition i want this song.... some one help me find the name of this version plz
The only way you can get this version of Junoon is to rip the audio from the video. Almost all of the songs are performed by a live band and the musicians must pay attention to the performers to make sure that the music is in synch with the people on stage. The live songs won't always sound exactly like their CD versions because if anything unusual happens, (a song rewrite or if an act goes on too long or too short) they must be ready to change the music to adapt to the situation.
I loved being a contortionist. I'll miss it so much. I have ADHD so when I was little I never really sat around and even watching TV I'd sit there and bend and flip and all. Then I got into performing. What allows me to move like this is that I was born with very loose joints and it helped with my flexibility. Loose joints can also be a very bad thing as well, so I had to stop after five and a half years for the safety of my health. But it was so much fun!
A marvellous contortion act that is also a thing of great beauty. I suspect there isn't a circus in the world that wouldn't like to hire these three young on the spot!. ladies
wooowww... AMAZING!!!!!!! do they have human bone? or snake bone?? hmmmm.. will find out soon... we will watch it soon here in Manila... so excited to watch them LIVE....
@MegaStarlight101 thats a weird question, i dont know if you're a boy or a girl, but unless you have bad cramps, it doesn't really effect you....just wear a pad... :P

@Geckomayhem Actually, contortionists are much more healthy and have stronger joints and bones than the average person because of their immense flexibility and because they are constantly active. I thought the same thing as you when I first watched a contortion act though, I was like "they're gonna fall apart one day"
The smallest one, Natasha, is 11, the one who can go around her head with her legs, Dasha, is 15, and the last one, Julie, is 17. They say they have to be young because when they start to get older their bodies can't move like that anymore..haha I believe them!! Idk, i think that bodies should stay in the splitz-is-flexible area!
I wonder if there's such a thing as a fat contortionist...
