To me when Kishi's brother said that they both grew up liking the same things telling us why there manga characters look alike is that they where fans of both Dead Or Alive (naruto chars style with faces and all) and Sonic (Naruto..)

Shadow = Itachi

at leastat one point sasuke fits shadow's roll when Amy and him take place
