@RobertBienenfeld CMV negative is about a virus, it just means you have never had a certain virus. It only becomes relevant when donating blood to someone who is also CMV neg and has a weak immune system, so therefore wouldn't be able to fight the virus. It is more or less harmless to a healthy person.

@TempleofTheola I've heard that before, and can donate to prenatal Babies, plus I'm O negative blood, Ashkansi Jewish, Blue Eyed, so I guess I'm rare. I do donate blood occasionally, but not as often as I should!. Plus I really when I have time, what to do some DNA saliva or DNA blood tracing, to see where my ancestors came from. But not sure of reliable companies that do this.

Cro-Magnon was formed by Neanderthals and Homo Heidelbergensis. Homo Heidelbergensis are the origin of A pos blood, and before that chimps. B blood is origin of Homo Erectus and before that gorillas. Neanderthals evolved from more reptile like sea creatures, a long long time ago. Neanderthals are very ancient. AB neg is therefore the most mixed, as it has some genes from all.

@pad4939 It would mean they had two parents who carried the rh negative genes, as to be rh negative both parents must be negative, or at least carry it recessively. Much like the blue eye gene, which is also recessive. There aren't many let in the world now that are purely one species of humanoid, everyone is pretty well mixed.

If one has type O Rh neg, Du- blood, what would that signify? She has blue eyes, very white skin, and in her younger days, she had lots of red highlights in her hair. She also has one eye that crosses in. Her father had gray eyes. Blood type of parents and other relatives is not known. @TempleofTheola A- is 15% of the white population, according to Wikipedia, and much less in other areas. I'm A- and so is my mother and daughter.

But the bloodline doesn't HAVE to be pure. Our fathers are Rh+ outwardly but carry the Rh- gene. In fact two Rh+ parents can have an Rh- child. That's the nature of recessive genes. Ordinary recessive traits should be around 25% of the population, so there may be a little more to the story.
