  • If only the people -voting- on these bills felt obligated to -read- them.

  • Attention Whites : Conservatives cannot win. The World has become too degenerate a place for quality people to be in charge of anything anymore. Come join the Nationalist movement which you will find to be a more fulfilling experience and will allow you to do more good. In the U.S. the largest Nationalist organization is the National Alliance. You can view their web site just type in National Alliance.

  • i would have said the same thing. he didn't do anything wrong.

  • crap video.. shows nothing... and I dont even like the guy really

  • dino rossi is full of baloney

  • @SuperEBProductions your just another moron liberal who wants to put patty murray back into power so she can continue to fail.

  • @SuperEBProductions Your post offers nothing.

  • But if you vote for Dino Rossi, with whom will all the illegals be employed if Patty Murray's campaign can't do so??? Actually, come to think of it, she'll be back next election, with her illegal immigrant canvassers. Alls well that ends well... at least until Seattle sinks into Puget Sound.

  • What a tool! This is just a shameless and rude! I talking of course of Porter Essex and whoever posted this video. Rossi politely answered the question as best he could and then politely excused himself. What is this video supposed to prove, that Dems are jerks? If so you made your point.

  • The bill has been available to him since Dec 2009, so he's had half-a-year to read it. Isn't that his job?

  • @AlienRelics No, Dino Rossi is a Banker and a Slum Lord. Why should be be reading any bills?

  • This is just the kind of lie that the D party is fond of using. Rossi did NOT "walk out" he answered the question in the only responsible way possible. "I would need to see the legislation pp:"

Pelosi in similar circumstances said "you just have to vote for it to see what's in it pp".

Murray has a good heart but the D party controls her. Rossi works with D and R parties.

Rossi is a good guy despite the D party attack ads. I have spoken at length with him repeatedly.

  • 23 Interviews today? Sounds like a big fat lie.

  • @milofonbil No, just a realy long day. He does that alot. Not afraid to work thats for sure.

  • @milofonbil It probably was...he's full of shit, you know.

  • @milofonbil patty murray S-510 monsanto food bill,THANKS SEATTLE

  • ok, now that was really unfair. You can't tell me there wasn't MORE interview and you all just used that clip. How slanted is that? Of course Murray voted to extend the unemployment benefits. She has spent 219.5 BILLION in earmarks, she voted YES on Stimubust, Wall street bailouts and Obamascare. She's a BIG problem for our economy and one of the main reasons we are in the mess we're in. Pack her and her tennis shoes up and send them HOME.

  • So, he will not answer a question without careful consideration, or enough time to fully expand on it? He didn't "walk-out". It sure looks like a left-bias posting by the Stranger newspaper to try and discredit. I would hope more give a thoughtful response rather than a pat answer.

  • Hello Washington voters - I'd like to ask you to listen closely to the question that Dino walked out on. It is not regarding new legislation, as is being purported by some commenters. The Senate has authorized several extensions to the unemployment benefit program since the crash in 2008. The fact that Rossi has nothing to say on this matter, which has been an up-front news item for the past year and a half, speaks volumes to me on how out of touch this man is with non-millionaires.

  • Yes, he did "do something wrong." The man is running for Senate, the bill had been introduced in December of 2009 and was one of the biggest issues of the day. Since this interview was filmed in June, I would say it's inappropriate not to have anything to say about it. Particularly if you are portraying yourself as the more economically oriented candidate.

  • @tacomamama im no rossi fan but do you really want to hear more bs answers from some canadidate just to apease you, I dont. This is what they continue to do and we wonder why the system is broke. Now the reason i feel it was the correct answer is cause most candidates dont know everything about the legislation because if they spent all thier time studying the current stuff they would have no time to run for office. Do you study for every test and college class before you ever get accepted?

  • @Drmark350 If you haven't noticed, a lot of folks are unemployed in this state. It's a big issue. The fact that he walked out of an interview without even offering his own concepts on how to deal with raising or lowering benefits makes it clear to me he is unfit for this position.

  • @tanatooc Oh ive noticed, I have two family members unemployed, i gave my brother (a mechanical enginer) a car (1989 lincoln) because thier car got stolen and they had no money to buy anouther. My father hasnt been able to find steady work for the last 4-5 years. I know all about it. I would say it is of the utmost importance to know what a bill says about it, before passing anouther run of the mill bill that doesnt fix the problem. Obviously Patty Murry isnt doing any better i might add.

  • say for instance, Spending money we dont have......yes the republicans did it too, but which party is gonna finnally take a stance and say no more...instead of pointing the finger at the other while they push thier stuff through and continue to spend. That seems irrational. To continue to try to regulate everything under the moon when you fail everytime at it seems irrational.... " Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

    Albert Einstein"

  • @Drmark350 so, when are we going to rein in the two wars that are the primary parasites that are sucking our country dry?

  • @tanatooc i agree whole heartedly, Ive been saying that since Bush still had 4 more years in the white house. We cant sustain these wars anymore than we can sustain the programs we currently have. I think people really dont grasp just how dire the finances are for this entire country. We have to make masive cuts in order for things to be repaired. People need to pull togeather as familys and not count on the gov. to be able to fix thier problems as the gov have proven they cant.

  • The question was simple the answer is corect... Deno Rossi wants to reed the bill first..... Now that is the right idea.......

  • Rossi is a pussy like Dave Reichart. they scared to answer questions they know people won't like. and there scared to debate their Democratic opponents. If you vote republican, your an idiot.

  • @BrandonSeattle Wow, That shows true Intelligence with a comment like that, or maybe your just frustrated cause you dont have any facts and attacking people with names and slander is all you have to stand on.....shame shame For the record i agree with what he said even "if" (notice the quotes) what he said is a bs answer for him.....ITS STILL THE RIGHT ONE, REPUBLICAN OR DEM. IF they all read them maybe they would all quit giving us crap for legislation.

  • @Drmark350 So it can't be that republicans plans for America is not what rational mainstream Americans want. He knows he'll sound crazy if he's honest.

  • @BrandonSeattle I think your missing the point.....The Good old boy status quo in the republican party is 50% of the problem, i didnt want dinno to run for senator....but the answer gave.....sincere or not, was the right one. The dems have the same problem in thier party. Niether side is truly representing what "rational" americans want. But your idea of rational and my idea of rational could be two different things. I hear plenty of stuff from the dems that is irrational to me.

  • Why doesn't Rossi just be a man about it and say no? The guy wouldn't give a starving man a piece of moldy cheese, but I am sure that it is a matter of principal for him and not simply greed.

  • Why not just be a man about it and say no? The guy wouldn't give a starving man a piece of moldy cheese, but I am sure that it is a matter of principal for him and not simply greed

  • Good for him! Finally, someone who is willing to read the legislation first.

  • we don't need unemployment we need jobs here in U.S. and stay in the U.S. .

  • I wouldn't even buy a used car from oily con artist, what makes you think I would send him to Washington, D.C.? Has anyone seen more contempt for the voters than this guy? Disgusting....

  • Problem is the city of Seattle have enough dope heads that stand in the both and only know to look for the letter they got on the tests back in school. D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D Duhhhhhhhhhh D D D Duh D. They don't even know what's at stake because they don't own a TV or a radio and haven't seen a newspaper since the Nixon Administration or maybe Carter's. But somehow they just instinctively know when it's time to go vote for D D D D D D D D D D D D D oh cool C(ommunitst)!

  • He was right not to answer legislators supporting legislation they haven't read is what got us in to the mess we are in now!!!

  • If you don't know what the legislation says why are you running for office?

  • @JohnKran BIlls in the Congress change from one day to the next, ping-ponging between House and Senate, committees in both changing the language, individual members adding amendments.

So you say "Sure, I'd vote for extending the benefits," and you're on record supporting a bill that eventually extends benefits, funds the war for another 25 years, pulls funding for NPR and rebuilds the American Donkey & Mule Museum in Denton, TX, among 1500 other earmarks.

  • @jlewisda well put sir.

  • @jlewisda uh, the extension for unemployment that was raised in this film clip has been going on for quite a few weeks. This is NOT NEW legislation. The fact that Rossi completely shuts down in the face of this question (yeah, you have another engagement, just tell us what you think!) speaks volumes to me.

  • He didn't do anything wrong there

  • Im glad he didnt answer a yes or no, he said what I would have said, I dont knw, because I need 2-c the legislation. In otherwords he would read the bill b4 commenting or voting, whats wrong with that? Wish more ppl in DC did tht. And, he didnt walk out, he had to go, U didnt see the other part of the interview either.

  • @asianboxmuncher Then I'm not voting for you either. Now, I gotta go. But I'm not walkin' out....my limo's waiting.

  • @asianboxmuncher so you are satisfied that he can't even give somewhat of a thought to answer the question?! he has NO IDEA what the legislation says?! god help us if this man gets elected.

  • @asianboxmuncher How about, "I'd have to read the bill to be sure, but in theory, I'd be in favor of leaving unemployed Washingtonians high and dry at a time of record high unemployment. After all, I am a Republican. Principals before people, etc." See? He doesn't have to be waffling.

  • Has anyone else noticed the new logo doesn't say Republican or GOP?

  • @Willjk89 Have you noticed the Democrats running again forgot to put "Re-Elect" on some of their signs.

Don't make a big deal out of nothing. Last time the liberals were angry at his signs cause they had GOP instead of (R) or Republican. I guess they think voters are that stupid.

  • He's gotta say five or six times that he "has no time" for a yes or no. I'm guessing it's "No." You can't please everyone.
