Cunningham should have raised more at the end... If he raised 3 or 4 mil Gold would still call... plus it looks like more of an overbet/bluff so gold might go over the top and then BAM... chip lead!!!

It's amazing how no one ever adjusted to Gold. I don't think he is a tremendous player (very good, but not better in the long run than Cunningham for example). But it seemed like EVERYONE was convinced Gold was awful, and as a result never ever believed he had as good a hand as he represented. He got some tremendous flops (which I'll give the others a pass on). But pre-flop? Many players pushed with Js or worse after they raised and he reraised massively.

Agreed. One of the only really bad plays I think he made -- his situation (only needing to pair, not hit a diamond) was the best case scenario (30+% to win), and he called about 2.5-3 million after Freidberg pushed into a 5.5 million pot (not even pot odds). I know Freidberg was loose, but that's not a smart play by Gold.
