Ooh, what a wonderful story. In December of 2005, I heard about "Stormy" a part Shepherd, on a local radio station who had been rescued by MHS from Hurricane Rita. She was 15 months old, skin and bone, weighing only 32 lbs. with heart worm. MHS nursed her back to health. Just to let you know, Stormy is now 70 lbs. and spoiled rotton! She's is a fun and silly companion who has looked out for her "mama" during severe weather by waking me up at night. Thank you MHS.
