Most things you download do put spyware on your computer. I've made a small fortune simply eliminating 'phone home' programs off peoples PCs from normal software and hardware they had installed, and I'm completely computer stupid. I just Google when I need help, like this host more than likely is doing right now) Lexmark printers and HP scanners are the biggest pain in this department. I've seen over 100 entities/tasks running at one time on one idle computer. My PC idles on 13....
They just wanted to keep that sucker on the phone. The answer (as always) is simple: "GOOGLE". They even tell him that and still keep him on the phone. He didn't ask for a historic timeline of rootkit technology!
anti rootkits are ineffective they have to be removed manually. rootkits send a error so you cant load or detect the rootkit. my only question is how do you remove it manually.
