Ford is still trying to decide whether they should make a 6.2l DOHC to put in the new lightning or put a 5.4l DOHC according to the Ford dealership i went to the 6.2L is supposed to push 580hp and about 560lbs-tq then theyre planning to offer a supercharger package with the truck which should push the truck to almost or more than 680 or more horspower and about 675lbs-tq

THIS IS NOT A REAL LIGHTNING CONCEPT! C'mon people. This looks like a clone with a procharger. the REAL concept still had the Eaton roots style supercharger ( but a 2.1, not the original eaton 1.7 ) with a dual ram air hood intake. ALSO, the REAL concept had a quad exhaust ( 2 square tips coming out off each side )

Ford is never gonna make the lightning again.. If they did.. It would have to have 600+ hp to align with the platform today.. it would make engine,trans, and axle more expensive to make.. And would have a high price tag.. Then u got mpg to worry about too

as of right now it wouldnt really make sense for ford to release this truck. yeah, i love ford, but it would kind of take the shine away from the svt raptor. not that one is a street truck and one is an off road, go through or over pretty much anything at 80 mph. but the SVT team only releases vehicles, AMAZING ones at that, every so often to it doesnt seem as they're just shoving performance cars out. hence, "special vehicles team". buttt when 2012 rolls around, a new lightning w/ 6.2 is a win.

Lighnings are awesome, ive got one the first year they were made and the last year they were made: 1993 Ford Lightning 351 Windsor and a 2004 Lightning 5.4 liter supercharged

The original svt spirit is gone...glad I never sold my gen 2 and never will and actually the numbers on the concept lightning would have eaten the srt10 alive...550 hp and lighter truck?

Hate to bust your bubble but that is infact the cervinis CT-5000. Comes with a procharger P1-SC and the body kit to look like the Gen 3 Lightning. Sounds like he has the bypass open which is why it sounds like a BOV

no, that is not the lightning concept. also the lightning concept has an eaton supercharger. an eaton whines. this one sounds more like a centrifugal supercharger spool, not a roots type whine. this F-150 also looks to have the cervinis body kit.
