iOS4 Yellow Screen of Death

When it runs out of battery, that happens but when I charge it, it starts to work again.

That's a temporary fix, but how do I permanently fix this so it doesn't happen at all?

@maxhasis with the new ios 5, u can actually track your phone to a very specific area range. With the help of iCloud none of us have to be that scared or worried about getting our phones stolen, plus there is an app, i wish i can remember the name of. When ur phone gets stolen and someone tries to guess a passcode and it wrong the phone will take a pic using the front camera and the location of which he had tried to enter a passcode. To get rid of the green screen just leave ur phone charged. ;)

oh my god this scared the shit out of me when this happened to me, but just hang it on the charger for a couple of minutes and then it will boot up normally.. you have no idea how happy am now

Thank you all! When the yellow screen appeared I said to myself i will never buy an iPhone again :)). I have iOS5 on a 3gs and got the same problem. After a hard reset mine shoved just a black screen without anything...Let it to charge for about 20-25 min and give it a hard restart then pushed power button and everything was ok. I love my iPhone, i won't let it die :))

looks like apple and sony decided to work together; ps3= yellow light of death iphone= yellow screen of death. i aint a victim of any of these messed up errors, but my iphone 4 has been STOLEN!!!!!!! i contacted the police 2 track it, and i downloaded find my iphone on my ipad. wish me luck by thumbs up to this comment guys, thats something i would appreciate! :)

@SGTHECoDGAMER i dont belive u can find an iphone if it was stolen,specially if it was jailbroken and unlocked,plus the police dont care too much about your 300 bucks phone and if it was trackable nobody would steal it :) correct me guys if i am wrong but i didnt heard of anybody finding his iphone yet

Mine does this sometimes in the dock it's a bug… and I do is a hrs reset when it's out. Hope I helped. Look up "ho to reset an iPod touch" in Google.

Just hold down the sleep+home button until the screen goes black. Then spam the home button and then sleep button (not at the same time) and after about 2 seconds it will start loading up again :) works for me

Thank Gid the yellow screen ks the low battery screen, but my iPod still won't work:( it won't get passed the boot screen, it crashes and restarts. And when I start recovery mode, it crashes.

the problem is that apple forgot to do a batter chargin image (like when its out)

Okay well i get the yellow screen for about 5 seconds on the 2g on 4.0 then it goes to the apple logo with a dim light then goes to the apple logo in the back light set to max, then restarts itself back to the yellow screen for 5 seconds and does the sme thing. anybody please help?

Then wait 2 or 3 minutes (in this yellow screen) and try to turn it on by holding the upper button a few seconds.

The Apple logo will show up and then you're ready to go! :D

i had the same problem on jailbroken itouch 2g on 4.0 and i just pluged it into my wall charger and it rebooted shortly and now it works perfectly again. i Hope this helped...

you must put the iphone in DFU mode then re install the "ios4" from itunes manually.

not true plug in your iopd or iphone and let it set in the mean time hold the power and home button like you are trying to reset it. It will take longer than usual but it works. if not gimme a holla at lcc4ever@myspace.com
