  • Tiff is a master driver

  • "The best value SuperCar on sale today" - that pretty much covers it!

  • I completely agree that it sounds better than any aston or jag. the americans have always known how to make a big v8 wail!

  • tifff is sht

  • its a "zed"-06 ::S

  • I think that a Corvette is a pretty good car but they should make a version with a carbon fiber body and a good interior

  • @vlekietwinie

a lot of the c6 z06 is carbon fiber.....

  • @shadymilkman1 I didn't know that :)

  • Well, after seeing this video I went out and bought a brand new ZO6. I can't even begin to explain how happy this car is making me. But you do need to keep a club handy to beat the women off! LOL

  • i like the zr1 more

  • lol hes having alot of fun in that car

  • This made me smile, a European racing driver saying something nice about American cars. I will agree the majority of American cars were wallowing messes until the Viper ACR and Corvette Z06

  • the corvette is not a family car! you want a fast family car get a G8 GXP

  • what a cock, the interior "is way behind euro standards" when ur in a car that removes your testicles everytime you accelerate you dont need electric heater seats or a coffee maker. dumb ass pom

  • but to most people, that buy cars, the quality from inside and out does matter. i mean lets really think about it, you'll be spending more time inside the car then looking at it from out. also tho it is very fast using all that power would be rare and far in between so have nice leather interior instead of plastic, and a stylish interior is rather important to a normal consumer. still a great car but i dont think it would be something id buy for my midlife crisis. im a viper guy myself

  • This Vette is the first one ever that gives me the same thrill and sense of awe when I see one that, say, a Ferrari does. It's a beast and a true supercar...

  • I wanna hear comments on the z06 from people that don't live in America.....That way, you get an opinion from the outside. Thanks!!

  • I am not american and I think the Corvette is a beautiful car.

I also think its pretty cool with all these "old school" engines and suspensions which makes them have a "character".

They are sport and muscle car at the same time so I think I wont need a super fast car when I have Z06...

  • They are sport and muscle car at the same time............Good comment, The corvette finally matured into a respectable world class sports car.

  • : )

  • who needs the top end? the nissan is faster in corners too... and it aint no datsun :) but i know what you mean... the corvette is probably more fun, because its easier to lose traction with this monster, but when you call the gtr a datsun, then I call the corvette an american car and thats really hard...

  • wonder how he would react to the zr1

  • lol. he said listen 2 the engine and pointed to the back

  • .......at the exhausts and the noise coming from behind...

  • yea guess we both right engine is in the front tho. nothin serious lol

  • Absolutely the best car regarding to it`s performance to price ratio!

    amazing........

And.. other than that, this car doesn't brokes everyday as the other supercars do. i love it.

  • true, but dont forget the nissan gtr... corvette costs about the same as the nissan gtr, and the gtr is even faster. -> 7:28 on the nürnburgring (this is faster than the porsche carrera gt!!!) but i know, the zr1 blows everything away.. :)

  • The Z06 is one fine automobile! My only downfall is that they are all over the place, I see at least 1-2 a week when I'm out bumming around. I think everyone wants a Z06 in the Raleigh NC area.

  • 1-2 a week isnt that bad, now how many mustangs do you see within 5 minutes about 15-20, and theyre almost all v6's

  • ive seen so many vetts im actually pretty sick of them, ive seen more vetts than im seen nissan Zs lol. and i almost see them as much as mustangs.

  • Wow top gear and fith gear both loved the performance for the vette. My only problem is with chevy build quality because the chevy we did own (which was not a vette) was absolute crap for reliability my A4 which had well over 160K was in much better shape then the chevy with 88K miles on it. But performance wise not bad for the price stil i would take the 911 turbo just my preference.

  • I'm glad a Brit actually had something complimentary to say about an American car. I lived there for two years 30 years ago, and lord, it's hard to believe they would have anything bad to say about yank tanks. Much less Corvettes. American cars are still nicer than most offerings from anywhere. Luxury offerings from Germany are fine too, as are the Japanese knockoffs, but US cars are the best bang for the buck if you want a straight up "nice" car. The Vette isn't alone out there for that.

  • An opinion from 30 years ago,... a time when American cars had spoilers bigger than their rockets.

    Nice one, mate.

  • Right. The average joe drives an average car, and average US cars were bigger, more powerful, smoother and more reliable than their Euro counterparts. I had a easy chance to test them one versus the other. Yeh, the stiffer suspension on a small car gives "some" corning advantage. So what. If you want cornering, the circa 1970 lightweight C3 Corvettes came factory equipped with big block 370 to 525 HP. And barely had a spoiler. Doesn't sound trivial to me. That's all I'm saying. Cheers

  • well i see it as this, id rather have a a family car that performs decently well, than a family car that floats like a Buick. i mean even when people get a family some of them dont want the nuts clipped so they will pass the Toyota dealership and head to Nissan or BMW. its rather reasonable to want a everyday car that is good around corners at a decent speed. and Vetts dont have back seats for the average joe that needs it.

  • Despite the tone, you have a point. Though most of the "can't corner" cracking is just baloney, the stiff suspension that a little car must have makes it at least 'seem' faster around a corner. There's not much real difference. Ironic you would pick a Buick to compare. I drive a Riviera. A set of aftermarket shocks and it handles and rides just fine, and would take a 7 series to match it in those regards. Know that you are judging your car purchase decision on the basis of OEM shocks.

  • ive been a quite a few cars, and the way like toyotas has "luxury suspension" and its rather sickening, and tho i have fiends that have them, a toyota couldnt take a slightly bumpy corner fast because the entire car gets affected by it. rather with a car like Nissan a BMW the car has comfortable smooth ride with sporty handling. but idk man ive been in buicks and a 7s and im sure it would take more than a quick suspension tune to make it even comparable

  • I agree. I don't want a car wallowing around corners. Don't underestimate Buick. They've always made excellent cars; indeed 60's BMW took Buick for its model. The Riviera has a superb combination of front strut and rear trailing swing-arm suspension, and with a mildly agressive shock does indeed rival the 7 series. The Riv rides smoother, and I'll give the 7s a slight nod in extreme cornering, but the Riv is an excellent overall ride, handling high speed with aplomb, and corners with grace.

  • Nissan doesn't build a sporty sedan. Altima is garbage.

  • HAHAHA Austin Martin and Jaguar...EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!!!

  • Vettes are for drivers. Porsches and Ferraris are for collectors.

Vettes are meant to get ragged out.

Vettes are meant to be driven in the rain.

You're supposed to put mad miles on a Vette.

  • @dustmundo for collectors? what a bullsh**, Porsche IS THE prodriver car in the whole world dude!

  • i love zo6

  • With Z06 and now ZR1, Corvette are considered the best sports cars on the planet. Sorry Ferrari and Lambo.

  • And the C6 dominates the 24 hours at lemans. The Austin Martin hangs in there though.

    H

  • Sorry, so as not to be a moron, it's Aston-martin.

    Happy trolls are healthy trolls.

  • I've seen this car sell for around $40K used with decent mileage. If it depreciates to the $30K range I'm gonna buy it.

  • I'm watching the depreciation on the GTOs. If no one else can appreciate those, I will.

  • I hear that.

  • Whats better doing circles around other cars , or just knowing you can do it while getting better MPG.

  • and doing it in a car that can and will eventually hit 100,000 miles.

  • Corvette kicks ass!

  • does anybody know when will fifth gear review ZR1?

  • I like how he said that there was nothing great about the interior when the vette is about the drive NOT the interior. I LOVE my ZO6 it drives like a dream. And it is EXTREMELY fast. Best Vette they have ever made, with the exception of the ZR1 of course.

  • Go to any SCCA or NASA event in the states and you will find Vettes! I have raced against enough of them to have the ut-most respect.

Dry sump and Mag engine cradle!

    Nuf said.

  • I bet he's a better driver all around than any of us. That said magazine testers and guys like this who drive a variety of cars don' squeeze the best numbers out of them. It's only because they don't have a particular niche'. If you drive a corvette everyday and you're worth your salt you can probably drive it faster.

  • yeah what a dick there are many great Euro driverss they just like anyone else into cars.

  • I'd say he's right. Most of them aren't. But probably no different than anywhere else.

  • Nothing like the sound of a 427 v8

  • yeah, but it's still a great car that costs less than many other extreme cars.

  • I agree but it sounds different from the old chevy 427.

  • you need 2 be an experienced driver 2 handle a zo6... thats why most europeans can't understand

  • One, the Corvette is THE most controllable sports car money can buy, I don't care what you say. Second, Have you ever driven in Europe? There are so many curves and they all drive manuals, they have to be at least decent drivers.

  • i dont know man... i live in europe right now, and compared to the "common sense" that we got taught in America... some of these "mufuckas" can't drive worth a damn

  • Common sense.... Americans!?!?!?!

You must have missed 90% of Youtube.

  • Comment removed

  • Jesus Christ, you're one dumb mother fucker.

  • He is talking about common sense, you need some American links?

Then again, I don't need too, because you're the stupid mother fucker who thought the following...

"No, but I'll take one over a Pontiac, Grandad"

...was referring to car known as the "Pontiac Grandad"

You've done an excellent job in explaining the reason for my "Americans..." statement in your retarded inability to make sense of anything I've typed.

Now fuck off and change that annoying tiled wallpaper on your profile.

  • Comment removed

  • So just becouse the guy is British, he can't drive?? whats your point man, why would it matter what country you are from.

He likes the car!!!!by the way.

  • "Europeans are bad drivers" - I don't know where to start

Heard of any of these people?

    Michael Schumacher

    Damon Hill

    Sebastian Loeb

    Nigel Mansell

    Lewis Hamilton

    Tazio Nuvolari

    Stirling Moss

I could go on all day. It is mind boggling how wrong you are.

  • werd man its so easy to get a drivers license in the U.S

  • I'm sure it is, It's not hard over here either. I don't understand what you're trying to say...

  • ayrton senna argueably the best f1 driver ever

  • My very reachable dream

  • he is a good driver

  • Gotta love Tiff Needell... Well, not really.

  • Yes, beleive it, the Americans are doing what they need to do. Because a pretty car would never satisfy the Europeans, only a car which had better performance for far less Euros.

  • No, the ZO6 is faster than most Ferraris.. and the GTR is much more expensive than a Z06. Try finding a GTR for 69k.

  • You're right about that.

Any new car with as much following as the GT-R/Skyline is gonna be WAY more because of dealer or seller mark-up.

  • u aint lying about that one i went to a nissan dealership with my cousin so he could check out the new maxima, and they had a gt-r there priced at 129k dude, the salesmen showed us the invoice and there it was 129k, but that was just that location, i looked up a few more in my area and the cheapest was 79k

  • The Z06 will smoke 95% of Ferrari's (all of which cost at least 3 times more), and the production spec GT-R is slower than the Z06. Without its launch control, the GT-R will do 0-60 in 4.1 seconds (pathetic for a 'supercar') and even with the launch control, a perfect launch only ties the Z06 in 0-60. Z06 is faster in 1/4 mile, 0-60, most tracks, gets better gas mileage, has more tuning potential, etc, etc, etc. Z06 >>> GT-R.

  • EVO magazine #116 page 75-77:

    0/60 Z06 3.9 GTR 3.8

    0-100 Z06 8.5 GTR 8.9

    0-100-0 Z06 14.0 GTR 13.9

That being said, both cars are incredible. The Z06 is pure engineering at its most basic, delivering incredible monstrous power. The GTR is a supercomputer on four wheels (without it the car wouldn't be as quick on a track or in a straight line..and Nissan apparently lied about the estimate of its HP; its in the range of 520). It doesn't look exotic in any way, but I think its awesome.

  • true, but look at price range...although u get 2 turbos and the worlds smallest supercomputer, the performance is basically the same...the Z06 is naturally asperated and i work in a shop where we fit performance parts to Z06's every day...add a vortech supercharger and gain 65-120hp instantly w/o an intercooler...add one turbo and get about the same...add another and get from 100-250hp gain...and u can actually feel the power without being held back by the computer controlled differentials

  • The skyline does not beat the z06 in every aspect. Tell me youd rather a v6 over a 427 v8. Listen to it! it also has more horse and less weight.

  • not really...u obviously havent done any research on this car or the ZR1...with the launch control on, the GT-R does 0-60 in 3.8secs. The ZR1 has 2 wheel drive, launches slower, and also has a 0-60 time of 3.8secs. the ZR1 costs about 8 grand more and tops out at 205hp. ur GT-R stops at 193mph....with not one, but TWO turbos...pretty sad, dontcha think?

  • oh common I think you Americans need to do some research because YOUR AMERICAN magazine Road and Track states GTR does 0-60 in 3.3sec and Z06 0-60 in 3.5sec? I have done my research and looked at American magazines which even commented that the GTR is faster than the Z06. I am not saying the vette is a bad car. secondly i went to my dealer and he offered to give me a NEW GTR for 67K (cheaper than the Z06)finally it is not all about speed but the functionality of the car!

  • only because of launch control. the z06 1/4 mile trap speed is 7mph faster on terrible goodyear runflats. on michlein pilots it would perform better. look at edmunds comparison 4 gtr-zr1. depends who's driving

  • you think the ZR-1 is cheap, with all the tricked out options the car comes to 158K! I checked with the Chevy garage it self! it has a low base price but what you see in magazines is going to cost you more. why not pay a bit more for something that looks good?

  • ok, i see ur point....name one car that has the same or better performance and resale value, and keep it in the same price range...

    im waiting for ur answer....

  • Thats why in the UK, GM is selling the zr1 for 100,000 pounds ($150,000). Anyway American car, italian brakes, english supercharger, french tyres, walmart interior. No superiority complex here, just look at what you can buy for the same money. Price is not a minimum for the rest of the world.

  • ok lets just say that ur right...name another car in the same price range that gives u the same performance....hmmm? by the way, i seriously doubt the roots-type supercharger is made in england, but u could be right...if im not mistaken, it looks like the same one used on the cobalt ss/sc

  • @mountjoy23

your an idiot why wouldnt they uses brembo brakes eaton is American and why would they create their own fuckin tires when you could just buy michelins

  • Whatever you say.

  • you need to check ur facts dude. american cars r right up there in quality with the japanese. check JD powers or consumer reports.get educated. quality is there they are rated much higher than anything coming from GB

  • you don't understand america sir. we don't care about plastic, all cars have some plastic for interiors. what we really care about is winning. winning is more important to us than having titanium buttons. we(usa) now offically own the nurburgring with cars that are alot less expensive. eg. (viper acr)(zr1)(cadillac cts-v) that's called an accomplishment. U need to be a little less judgemental & recognize this painful fact.

  • I do understand america, i live here. As for americans not understanding plastic, your country is the only one in the world where the people buy a substandard product to be support thier flag. In europe if we want to go fast we will buy a caterham/radical/ etc. Ifwe want 85% of that performance we will buy a porsche. There is more to a good car than a lap time...

  • Lived here for how long and you still don't get Americans?

  • "there's more to a good car than a lap time" ...And YOU were the one bringing Radicals into the discussion? If it wasn't for lap times, what does the Radical have? Comfort? New Technology? Also, Europeans don't feel any national pride, so if they want good performance, they'll buy a Porsche? Uhh, Porsche is a German, AKA European brand. Rather convenient... Stop stereotyping Americans, I, for one, would LOVE either a Corvette OR a Porsche.

  • He still waiting...

  • Not really...

ZR1 has almost double the displacement of the GT-R. There are also similarities between a turbo and supercharger in their objective.

As for research... GT-R has been known with launch control to hit 0-62 in 3.2 seconds.

  • The Americans can always show you how to do it!

  • I don't care what anyone says: dollar for dollar, the Corvette Z06 is the king of the road. Any car that can compete with it costs at least twice as much.

  • Alright dude, thanks; and you're right, Jeremy Clarkson wouldn't be as fun if he was polite...

  • Cool, I guess that Jeremy Clarkson was being too critical when judging the Corvette...

  • Wow, he only complained about the fit and finish. Submission?

  • Wow a Brit who loves my Corvette!

  • right at the end of the video is what matters...tiff got the point of the z06

  • cant wait till he drives the zr1

  • Yes, Tiff's review of the ZR1 will be something to see.

  • "the americans r showing us how to do it!!!"

  • 5th gear car of the year baby!

  • wow, really great review

  • This guy nearly spooged himself as he admitted to the z06's superior performance compared with the name brands mentioned. This video speaks volumes for the vette.

  • I want to see the Europeans produce a car as good a performer as the Zo6 for the same price as the Zo6. For $70k, I doubt it will have an Alcantran interior such as the interior of the 911 Turbo which cost $140k+. For the extra $70k it should have a more upscale intereior. Lotus Elise is a bare bone stripped down $70k car that has cold metal floors and half the ammenities of a Zo6 and I don't hear anyone chastizing it, why? Beacuse it's European that's why which is a crock of crap.

  • jza007 im not american you fag come to mexico than talk shit hell il go were you live

  • while your trying to get the highest g's possible in a corner i dont think you should be staring at some display. i dont know who thought that up its really stupid and illogical

  • That have them in Fighter Jets to dumbass. And it shows your RPM and Speed. So if thats the cars should not come with Speedos of wheels then.

  • pardon? lateral gs are a measure of horizontal cornering speed during a turn. they increase with both speed and decreasing radius of a turn. in literary nomenclature this result is found with a skidpad test in a vacant testing track and requires the full attention of the driver. therefore, his eyes should not be focusing on a small readout within the lower dashboard while he attempts to balance the oversteer, understeer, steering angle, and throttle of a 500hp car esp while on public roads.

  • you can turn it off if its not you taste. Quitcha bitchin!!!

  • " i dont think you should be staring at some display."

    Then don't "stare" at it.

  • I like how Europeans say Jag You Uh

  • 64% of all GM cars are sold outside North America. The last time I checked, that included Europe, where everyting is soooo superior. gutze101 needs to wake up and look around a bit.

  • Show me any american car that doesnt fall apart after like 5 years, Ofcourse its low priced with that plastic interior and suspension from 1950. American cars are not proper made, european car journalist have always agreed on this, they wouldnt just made that up. And its very known to all car fans over the world. I dont read american car mags, but im pretty sure they can agree on that Most european cars have better quality.

Yes the z06 is really good, but far from perfect.

  • my mom still has a corvette from 1979 and it works splendidly now that is good quality and ill tell you why european cars have always been very complicated there are so more reasons why a Ferrari can go wrong but a corvette is just simple engineering making it more reliable and cheaper to fix.

  • I recently sold a Ford that was very reliable and low maintenace for 275,000 miles over 9 years. By far the most expensive thing about it was the 8 sets of Y rated tires I wore out at $670 each. When I think European, I think ridiculous maintenance costs from normal wear to stuff breaking that has no business breaking on cars that are so expensive to buy. Every single one I learn about from their owners so far has proven me right.

  • Cost my buddies uncle 17,560 dollars to fix the heads and TWO other part on his jag...(WTF PRICE TAG)?

  • I about to get a 97 Grand Prix GTP that this woman at my dads job owns and she said it has never broke down. Some people just dont take care of their cars.

  • omg europeand dont get the point let me start with the britts they think the veron is british wtf the britts dont even have a great car conpanies second thei seem to think they have a super car in thei garage wich thei drive like crazy people around corners drinking some fucking tea the point is the zo6 is a great car for people that cant aford a supercar and who gives a fuck about corners if you can drift in a stait line japan rules us rules fuck the old empire and fuck you if you dont like it

  • "andrestnt" Who gives a fuck about corners when u can drift ina str8 line" some of you yanks really are just dumbshits lol

  • I LOVE it, I have a Turbo Miata, I can't stand GM's cars, but Z06 is my dream. Corvette is a legacy and now it's BACK. I don't need all that traction, AWD, stability B.S. like GTR. For me it is always front engine & RWD, & BIG BLOCK.

  • "For me it is always front engine & RWD, & BIG BLOCK."

ZO6's LS7 is a 427 cubic inch aluminum SMALL BLOCK. It weighs less than the 4 cam 4.3L (263 cubic inch) V8s found in many European sports cars, and it makes WAY more torque than any of them. Now, THAT is engineering that works.

  • If your a hardworking guy, but not exactly rich, and want performance for your money....there's not much better for your money without going to a track car. The new skyline is cool and all but some people dont want all the computers controlling the diffs and so on.

  • Define "proper" supercar? 200MPH? Sub 4.0 second 0-60? Low 11 second quarter mile? VIR under 3 minutes? Nurburgring under 8 minutes?

Or are you talking about interior trim?... In which case you would have to exclude the F40 since it didnt even have fucking DOOR HANDLES.

  • The proper supercar to me means not only being insanely fast on a track, but it has to be a comfortable ride on the road (the Z06 with its Leaf Springs and stiff suspension doesn't do this), and has to look and be rare enough that everybody 2000 yards of you will know you're driving something special. That's why the 911 also fails at being a proper supercar, it's too common to be one.

Don't get me wrong, if the Vette floats the boat keep it, I'd rather pull up in a Ferrari or a Lambo.

  • Since you have neither Vette or Ferrari, You need to stop talking out of your ass.

  • "American's like this car is cuz their feeble little brains can understand going straight and nothing more."

Someone who represents a higher brain capacity should be more comprehensive. Did you forget the zo6 'bring lap time? Better than your ferrari holmes. It's not about being cheap, it's about value. The zo6 is a giant killer. Get used to it and get ready for more tears. The zr1 is only gonna humiliate ferrari even more.

  • Too cheap or poor to afford a proper supercar??? you really need a reality check... not even middle class people can afford a brand new standard corvette, let alone a ZO6. what the hell makes you the authority on "proper supercars"??

... just for shits & giggles, what do YOU drive???

  • ...give you an F430 LOL; you could buy the whole of Burkina Faso for the price of an F430in your dreams boy. Sorry to piss on your bonfire but I sold my 911 GT2 and bought a Z06and pocketed the change; why? because it's a better car and its better value; in the showroom and in the service shop. In order to lap the Nordschleife in 7:42 you have to be able to go round corners at some rate - stick to your ox cart.

  • 50k and itll take a enxo? wtf 9k on a stage 3 turbo kit and new suspension and it would take a enzo lol in a straight line and in a coarse. beat the zonda around a track dam

  • $65,000 Chevy C6 Z06 + $80,000 Ligenfelter Performance Engineering 427 TT upgrade = priceless.

V8 Twin Turbo 1,000+ hp, come on.. Lol.

  • Check The New ZR-1 "Road And Track"

Blue Supercharged Z06 with same weight 3.150lb.

Bye Bye Zonda,LP640,R8,F430 And SRT10 ACR Viper

  • its 200 lbs heavier than the regular z06..and i dont know about, ''bye bye''...

  • Bye bye, the only thing that we have to say bye bye is you, that car weights more than a Pagani Zonda F and has less HP and it's an American POS car

  • Yeah I agree about POS american car. BUt comone you gotta agree. look at stats of the new ZR-1. for 100.000$ can you get anything faster??? ahm NO.

I Love Zonda and the fact that its AMG build motor.

  • well, it is a bargain but you end up saving more when buying a Zonda cause American cars are known to be non-reliable plus the ZR-1 is nowhere near as luxurious as any European car, but i think that it's a good car considering it's faults

  • Honestly if you ask me for 100K i'll buy an M6 over any Vette. allways hated american cars. but when i drove the new z06 i was impressed. my e46 M3 is not even close to the power plant. and they gonna supercharged that...you touch the back of the vette it bends in ,PLastic

  • anyways, the Z06 is pretty much fucked up now that the 2008 Nissan GTR came, it has 475HP, should cost $70,000 and has a better interior, it's 4WD, does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds but i think the ZR-1 will have great success considering that it's so cheap

  • Came? Came where? It's not even available in the USA yet. Make no mistake, the GT-R is a great piece of engineering, but a 3900 lb car w/ 475 HP will not touch the performance potential of a well sorted 3100 lb car w/ 500+ HP.

The great advantage of AWD is when traction is poor. This is not the case on a track w/ proper tires (DRs, DOT-Rs, Slicks). It *would* be instructive for a rag to do a car comparo having eliminated the tire variable. Slicks on both cars at VIR would be interesting.

  • For 475hp to push a car to 60 in 3.5 sec that car would have to weigh 3000 lbs of less. I don't think the skyline weighs under 3000 lbs.

  • well, idk, that's what the results say, Nissan says that the car has 475HP but it has been reported by some people in Japan that the car actually does 525HP, meaning that Nissan underrated it's HP, the car weights 3800 pounds btw and it's AWD which could explain why it does such a quick 0-60 time (3.3 seconds)

  • Alot of times cars sent to test drivers are special tester cars. It happens alot and every car maker does it.

  • go here: watch?v=yDoJdQXmwu8

  • Good vid. The traction controll really helps. I had a 455 skylark and I couldn't get traction at all. Stock 455 buicks make 510 lbs/tq @ 2000 rpm. My 350 Nova was faster than my Skylark because I got more traction. The owner of that gtr might have tweaked it a bit.

  • lol, the guy in the GTR didn't look like a tuner but who knows :| And 510 pounds of torque that's a monster, do you still have the 455 buick?

  • No. I had the Buick and Nova 20 years ago. Hopefully I'll get to build a car soon. I'm getting itchy for something fun to drive. I had a v8 vega in high school. I learned how to fix cars because that car broke everything.

  • Sophisticated computer controlled diffs buddy, something very un-american

  • the only reason it can do that is b/c of the launch control and the AWD system...thing is, the ZR1 also has a 0-60 avg. of 3.4sec...and its RWD...raw power, excellent handling, carbon ceramic rotors with 6 piston calipers, beats the GT-R, ferrari 599, and the 911 GT2 in EVERY aspect of performance and has a carbon fiber and fiber glass body (not plastic)...by far the best in supercar(not hypercar) performance, without the supercar price

  • why do all of u Euro lovers talk about something that u know NOTHING about??? I am a Corvette specialist and i have been working in a chevy dealership for over 12 years...what about GM cars is so "non-reliable"??? I know about 20 corvette owners that have everything from old school 350 vettes to 1990 LT1 vettes to 2007 Z06 vettes...i work on em all the time...over 12 of them have Z06s that they take to the track every weekend...with over 180,000 miles and still look brand new and run like it too

  • Check out Jan '08 Road and Track article on V8 sports cars: Aston, Audi RS8, '08 Vette, and F430. I used to think the pushrod V8 was inferior compared to european 4 cam until I saw that it has about the same HP, makes 30 or 40% more torque, is roughly 50% more fuel efficient than the Euro's -- while it weighs about 10% LESS!! Seems to me this settles the old HP per liter argument in favor of power density of the whole package, not just the volume of the combustion chambers.

  • For the price of 75.000$
