Saying that suffocating a fish is no different from drowning a puppy is like saying that drowning a puppy is no different from drowning a baby, show me a fish displaying loyalty or compassion and maybe you have a point >.<

So if I put you in front of a contraption where both a baby and a puppy were being dropped into a frigid lake and you could turn a lever to save only one of them you think that saving the baby or the puppy would be equally valid? get fucked.
Ya because who knows, the dog might invent dog fucking drugs and save a million more dogs if you save it's life, right? I mean not like that could happen with the human...

We're no more sentient than animals for a start, and also by your logic people with mental illnesses should be treated less than "normal" people because their cognitive abilities are less. The point I'm making is that all sentient organisms have the right to live, and I would only save the puppy out of preference.
